The King's Lair

Thinking about it, the only reason she had probably beat the werewolf even if it was a rare-grade beast was because the werewolf underestimated her and had yet to form a beast core and had no special abilities other than that roar thing he did. 95% of beasts formed a beast core when they became a rare-grade beast, but maybe because rage and bloodlust was the only thing the beast had felt, a beast core wasn't formed.

Only once you formed a beast core, were you able to get a special ability, and you got a lot stronger, so the roar attack before was probably just a technique that all pure-blooded werewolves knew. After resting for a while and making sure that her wounds weren't serious anymore, she decided to find the beast's lair, I mean, there should be like all sorts of treasures there, seeing the werewolf had the entire forest to himself, he was bound to discover some sort of treasure, right? Besides, humans might also explore this area, so if the humans had some sort of cool weapon or treasure, the beast would probably get it after killing them.

Thinking about it, Luna was drooling, like imagine if the humans had this sort of super cool thing that would grant her a magic carpet, or a genie in a pot! Well, she might have overthought it, as it was a fantasy-themed place, not a Al*ddin-themed world for goodness sakes. Wiping off the drool that was slowly seeping down her face, Luna got out the cave and started looking for bigger caves, anywhere where a crazy werewolf might want to stay. Maybe it was that her luck was good, or that she was just really close to the lair, because after only 5 minutes, she had already spotted it.

It was a cave with a small opening, which was uncovered, probably because the werewolf didn't care if anyone came in, as it would only think of the intruder as a self-delivered snack. The cave was dark and she could barely see anything, so, as she squinted at the darkness, hoping to anything and hoping with all her might that dragons had night vision, a miracle came.

Skill: Night Vision can be bought with 5 skill points

Would you like to buy it?

> Yes

> No

"Yes! [Skill: Night Vision acquired] Is that even a question? Of course I would buy it! That's just what I need right now! Though, strangely enough, that was the first time I could buy a skill, maybe you have to wish for it first?" She then wished to have an agility type skill, so she could improve her speed and agility, but it only said that the skill wishing function had a cooldown of 5 days, and she should wait until she became a rare-type beast to get the skill shop function! Luna shrugged and decided to forget about the skill wishing function, because if she had to wait 5 days just to get one skill, it was better to just kill a lot of monsters and level up for the skill shop function instead.

Since she now had night vision, seeing what was inside the cave was a lot easier, so she just casually strolled in like it was her home, there wasn't anyone living in here anymore, and she didn't see anything dangerous, so, who cares if she lowers her guard? The cave was pretty empty, except from a stone table-ish thing in the corner with weird things piled on it. There was also a couple of animal skins that looked like it was roughly ripped off the animal, and none of them looked a bit like the animals on earth, the closest skin that looked a bit like the animal skins on earth was a green looking tiger skin, with swirls instead of the stripes.

There was surprisingly food, which was surprising as Luna thought that the werewolf would just eat everything as soon as he had caught it. When she appraised them, what surprised her was that they were all strong uncommon beasts and there was even some other rare-type beasts with beast cores. Looking at all the delicious food that would boost her level, grinning evilly, Luna began her process of swallowing them all, without leaving a single bit of meat behind. When all the food was in her stomach, her belly was already as big as a watermelon! She was so stuffed, but since she had risen from level 14 to level 18, she was glad that there was so much to eat, and felt that it was very worth it.

Now, she only had 4 beast cores, but she knew that the beast cores could probably benefit her a lot, maybe she can eat them? Looking at the beast cores clutched in her talons and on the floor, she stuffed one of them in. The texture was like a lollipop, except it melted as soon as it reached her mouth. After she had eaten it, she realised that she had levelled up 2 levels! If one of them was able to level her up by 2 whole levels, then doesn't that mean she would be able to evolve again? Feeling happy, she quickly stuffed the two other beast cores in her mouth.

[Experience Gained: +1000 Exp]

[Max Level: Able to evolve now]

"What? Evolution? Didn't she only level up twice before?"She thought that she would still have to eat the last beast core to be able to level up. After confirming that she was indeed at level 25 and could evolve, she check the experience notifications, after seeing that one of them did indeed give 3 levels, she guessed it was probably because the beast was stronger than the rest, so his beast core was of higher quality.
