Chapter 26

It would be days later as Russo and all of his capos and men were having a meeting. All capos arrived in fancy cars as they all were in their suits or dresses. Steiner was going up the elevator as he was tapping his finger on his cane's handle. B, C D, E and F were with him in the elevator as they all were waiting anxiously as well.

"You know what I've noticed? Who is A?" F asked.

They all were silent, but surprised as they all looked at Steiner as he looked around himself.

"That will be kept a secret, until A shows up. Don't worry. You'll see A soon." Said Steiner.

They soon arrived at the meeting room as everyone was there. Russo was sitting on his chair as his capos sat on the chairs next to him. Pamela placed a coaster and a drink for Russo as she sat on his lap.

"Don't mind if I sit here, right?" Pamela asked.

"Not at all." Said Russo.

"Jeez, can't you be professional? But I'm sure you're a profession at being a shallow floozy who has the hots for rich men." Said Claudia.

"Oh, sorry, Claudia. I didn't hear you. Maybe it's because I'm actually with a man. Let me guess, you have a pet cat, don't you." Said Pamela.

"You leave Scratches out of this. Or I'll make sure you're six feet under!" Said Claudia.

"Easy, Claudia." Said Malone.

"Boss, is this meeting going to take long? I got some stuff to take care of." Said Victor.

"Keep your cool frosty. You can go back to sleep whenever we're done. So Sylvester…what are you doing after the meeting?" Ursula asked as she fanned herself.

"Going back to work." Said Sylvester.

"And do you need help?" Ursula asked.

"No. I need to use the bathroom." Said Sylvester as he got up and left.

"Wow, you try so hard. It's kind of sad." Said Valentina.

"As if you can do better." Said Ursula.

"I don't need to. I know he's the type of guy who doesn't care about getting with someone. He only cares about occupying himself with work that distracts him." Said Valentina.

"What do you mean?" Ursula asked.

"If you don't know, then stop trying." Said Valentina.

Sylvester walked past Steiner and his Letters and went to the nearby bathroom as Steiner signaled his Letter to stay put. Steiner then approached Russo at his side as he stood at his side.

"I sent C a while ago to ensure that Stacy and her team doesn't recover anytime soon." Said Steiner.

"I'm glad to her that. Pamela, get Steiner a drink please." Said Russo.

"Okay, whatever you ask, Mr. Russo." Said Pamela as she got up.

"May I ask what this meeting is about, sir?" Steiner asked.

"We've been getting problems from the government. Funny how only enhances exist in Steel City. But apparently a good handful have escaped this city. Looks like some of my men failed me. We need a plan to take down the government forces and find those who have escaped. I mean, they are technically my property. And your experiments, right? Can't let these get into the wrong hands." Said Mr. Russo.

"True, sir. And let me guess, you wish to use my Letters as the first line of defense?" Steiner asked.

"Right on the dot as always, Steiner. As we speak, they plan on attacking the city." Said Russo.

Meanwhile, we see Johnny and Falcone speak with the whole gang about the government.

"That's bad…right?" Mina asked.

"Them finding about Enhances is bad. Finding a way to enhances a human being is perfect for selling them or using them as weapons. Just take a look at me." Said Irons.

"Yep, which means none of you can't be captured by them. They'll just think you're working with or under Russo." Said Falcone.

"We'll be on the run again." Said Emilia.

"Not really. Right now, they would need Steiner's research to be able to do that. And even if they try it themselves, it will take years. Even decades. Steiner is very far ahead of his research. If I were you guys, I would hide or blend among the people once the battle is over. They only want Russo for literally taking over US soil." Said Johnny.

"But why tell us this? Why warn us?" Allen asked.

"Because you all are people. Trying to live your lives, until Russo ruined it. Maybe it's my guilt or I want to atone for one of my biggest regrets of my life. Plus, Johnny here wanted to help you. So thank him." Said Falcone.

"Again why not to come out rude or anything.?" Allen asked.

"About a few months ago, I was able to find my fiancé. She went missing when I was on a mission. I searched for her, until one day she returned in lab clothes. I couldn't have been any happier to see her. And I found out that she escaped from Steiner's lab. It was thanks to your team." Said Johnny.

"It was when we all met." Said Irons as he looked at the gang.

"Huh, what were the chances?" Said Beverly.

"Well, you'll have to thank Beverly. If it wasn't her. We wouldn't have broken into the lab." Said Stacy.

"Thank you, Beverly. I felt obligated to help to repay you. Since after we were reunited, my wife and I are having a baby. She's two months pregnant." Said Johnny as he showed them a picture of his wife.

"I'm going to be a grandpa!" Said Falcone with a smile.

"Congratulations!" Said Kimberly.

"Thank you." Said Johnny.

"Well, let's celebrate that after this battle is over. Right, guys?" Said Stacy.

"Yeah!" Said Mina.

"Alright, let's get ready. Steiner should be letting out the signal soon!" Said Stacy.

They all got ready as they put on suits made specifically for them as they had leather armor. They all were steampunk designed as Beverly was readying her weapons. She had her sidearm pistol, a repeating shotgun and a tommy gun. She had belt that had pouches to hold her ammunition. Carlos walked in as he was dressed up as he stared at Beverly and her suit she was wearing.

"W-What!?" Beverly replied.

"You should dress up like that more." Said Carlos.

"You know I have a gun in my hands, right?" Beverly replied.

"At least I'll die with you on my mind." Said Carlos.

Beverly turned red as she tossed a gun at Carlos as it hurt him.

"Stop wasting time and get ready!" Said Beverly.

"Yes, ma'am." Carlos chuckled.

We even see Mizuko and James ready as Lie Yan stood with them. They were also dressed up as Lie Yan had new fighting uniform, Mizuko had karate clothes on and James had his regular clothes on. Everyone stood ready, while back at Russo Tower, Sylvester had sat back down as Russo stood up to begin the meeting. Steiner glanced over at his Letters as they stood quietly, but ready for his signal.

"Thank you all for coming. I have some news I wish to share. Outside of the city, is the US government ready to take down my empire. They have the guts to come here take what is mine. What they don't know is that I made a little something shot them down." Said Russo as he looked out the window.

Everyone looked out the window and in a distance was a zeppelin flying in the city sky as it was armor with weapons and in the pilot room was a large gun cannon. Russo pressed the button from a radio and told them to fire. The zeppelin got the message and charged up the cannon with a few seconds as it fired a large and powerful blast of energy. It hit a district at the edge of the city as it made massive damage within the district as everyone was impressed, while Steiner was shocked. His Letter were shocked as well as Russo clapped in joy.

"I did a little side project without you, Steiner. Since I don't really have much use for you." Said Russo as he aimed a gun at him.

He then opened fire on Steiner as he fell to the ground in pain and bleeding.

"I've gotten all the information of your research and other things you've been making in the labs. I hired a new scientist who's far better than you. Since she knowns more than you and is actually learning how to enhance the Enhances even more. Sorry, old friend. But I don't need you anymore. Say hello to Jane for me." Said Russo.

"Before you kill me, may I say something?" Said Steiner.

"You know what, I'm feeling chartable today. So go ahead. Better make it good." Said Russo.

"You will not gain any happiness again, Russo. At this point, you're just a madman doing these things for your own sadist fun and pleasure. It's funny how you had such potential for so much more. But thanks to me, you became pathetic and worthless!" Said Steiner.

"I'll see you in hell, Steiner." Said Russo.

"Don't bother. I'll bring a little hell right now." Said Steiner as he snapped his finger.

All of the Letters, pressed a button on their suits that covered themselves completely. C then pressed the button her suit as her entire body was exposed as wave of heat exploded outwards. It killed or knocked everyone out of the tower as all of the capos used their abilities to protect themselves, even Russo. Until D tackled Russo, E tackled Valentina, F tackled Bellini C tackled Victor, B tackled Ursula out of the tower. Sylvester and Malone were left in the tower as turned and saw Steiner as the heat had burned his skin as most of his body had been changed into steampunk cyborg parts. He then ran out of the building as Sylvester ran after him, while Malone grabbed his radio and yelled at what happened to everyone. The gang got the signal as they were surprised by the signal.

"Well that went out with a bang." Said Mina.

"Irons, get going!" Said Stacy.

Irons charged off as the other family heads got the signal an attacked Russo's men who were in the streets. It all turned to an all-out battle as everyone fought and the gang ran to Russo Tower as Ghigau ran at Stacy's side as a dog.

"Um, what about the zeppelin?" Ghigau asked.

"Can you handle that?" Stacy asked.

"Uh, sure. I think. Yeah, I can do it." Said Ghigau.

"Be careful." Said Stacy.

"You too!" Said Ghigau.

She shapeshifted into a falcon and flew off to the zeppelin as we see Sylvester catch up with Steiner. Until Irons shoulder tackled Sylvester out of the way and stood in his way. E charged up his lightning in front of Valentina as she readied the metal all around her. F tapped her bat on the ground as Claudia was furious as the concrete moved around her like water. C let out some heat as Victor cooled himself with his ice. B had his blood ready as Ursula pulled out two fans in each hand. We then see D stand in front of Russo as he chuckled as his clothes had been torn up. D was about to take off the armor as it was weighing him down, but Russo bolted into him, hurling his light enhanced fist into his chest. The single punch broke the armor into pieces as D flew back, while Russo didn't let a second for him to attack. He appeared behind D as he was in midair and elbowed him in the back. D froze from the pain, until Russo grabbed D from his suit and slammed him down to the ground. He then stomped his foot onto D's chest repeatedly, until D caught it and used his shadow to trap Russo's foot onto his hand.

"I'd dodge if I were you." Said D.

Suddenly, a foot was knocked into Russo's face as it launched him across the area. He crashed against a building as he landed on his feet and looked up. He then saw Stacy as her eyes irises glowed white and had angelic white aura.

"Meet the missing Letter…A." Said D.
