Chapter 27

Meanwhile, we see Ghigau was flying within the zeppelin's range as it fired another energy blast. She flew into the engine room as there were a small group of men maintaining the engine, while there were guards with guns. She turned into a rat and scurried past the guards and towards the pilot room. She got closer and closer, until there was a guard wearing heavy militarized armored suit as he had a shotgun in his hands. Ghigau got close to the guard and passed through as she was surprised.

"Huh, that was easier than I expected." Ghigau thought to herself.

She went into the pilot's room as there a small group men controlling everything. There were two piloting and the rest were manning and reloading the energy cannon.

"I don't need to fight them. I just need to disable everything. Good thing I'm a rat." Said Ghigau.

Meanwhile, Stacy and D stood in front of Russo as he started laughing at what D said.

"Hahahaha, Stacy is A? That's ridiculous. The only one capable of being A is me." Said Russo as he quickly aimed his hand at Stacy.

He then fired an energy beam at Stacy but dodged it easily as she aimed at Russo. She fired a similar beam that caught Russo off guard as D made his shadow trap his feet. Russo took the beam head on as he flew away into multiple buildings. But he recovered back on his feet as he stopped in the middle of a street. D looked at Stacy as she looked at her hand and then had a smirk on her face as she looked back at D.

"That felt really good." Said Stacy.

But D quickly ran to her as Russo appeared in front of her within a split of a second. Russo hurled his fist at her as Stacy tried dodging, but he was faster. But D made her shadow move herself as Russo's fist passed by her face. Stacy and D clenched their fist as they both swung together at Russo, but he stopped their fists with his hands.

"It seems you haven't gotten used to your power, Stacy. But how is it you're able to use your ability again, is my questions?" Said Russo as he noticed the necklace.

Meanwhile, we see the battle was everywhere within the city as we see the gang making their way to the tower. They were taking out Russo's men on the go as they stopped, while the tower was in sight and a couple of blocks across them.

"Alright, let's get to our positions! Be careful." Said Beverly.

Everyone nodded as Mina, Jean-Pierre, Emilia went off, while we see Mizuko, James and Lie Yan heading to their fight.

"Allen, Mary. We're going to need you to get to the tower now. Clear it out as much of Russo's men as you can. We'll be there as soon as we can." Said Beverly.

"You got it." Said Allen.

Allen zipped over as Mary teleported with him as we see Kimberly and Ray fight as well in the distance. Kimberly screamed at a group of men. She hurt their ears, while Ray ran in and hit them with a bat across their faces. Carlos fired non-lethal round at a man, but he took the hit as he laughed at him. Until Beverly cocked her Tommy gun and opened fired non-lethal rounds on the man as all of the rounds hit him, until he fell on the ground. Carlos looked at Beverly as she smile and kept on moving.

"C'mon." Said Beverly.

"What a woman." Said Carlos.

Meanwhile, we see Steiner scouting everything as he looked around as he saw the Letters fighting the Capos. He even saw Stacy and D fighting Russo as he saw that her abilities were working well.

"The device or necklace I had D implant onto her is working well." Said Steiner.

"May I ask what it is?" A woman asked.

Steiner quickly turned and aimed his left hand as it turned into a gun. In front of him was a young woman scientist with a long science coat. She was an Indian woman who wore glasses, had black hair that was tied into a bun, she was pretty, but didn't try to look good. She had a turtleneck shirt and women's pants. She had a tired and unenthusiastic look on her face.

"Dr. Zara Amari…" Said Dr. Steiner.

"Lower your weapon, Steiner. I'm not here to hurt you. I've only came to converse with you." Said Dr. Amari as she stepped closer.

"And what is it that you wish to speak to me of?" Steiner asked.

Amari then held up a large drive like object as Steiner stood on guard.

"It's your entire research. I've put everything into this device. I plan on continuing your work, but not for Russo." Said Dr. Amari.

"That should be destroyed! Why would you continue my work?" Steiner asked.

"This is a revolutionary find, doctor. It's amazing how you spent most of your life accomplishing all of this. This can be used for good and bad. But I wish to see what this can in the future. I am intrigue of what all of this can turn out in the future." Said Amari.

But Steiner fired at the object, destroying it as the Amari was annoyed.

"My research should have died long ago. But I'm sure you've made copies of it." Said Steiner.

"Correct. But don't worry too much. I am only doing it because I am a fan of your work. But unlike you, I wish to see this through to the end." Said Dr. Amari.

Steiner aimed and fired at Amari, but she held out her hand and stopped the bullets. Steiner was shocked as she made the bullets return back. They all hit Steiner, injuring him as he glared at Amari. She had a smirk on her face but started walking away.

"Goodbye, doctor. I do hope we meet again and talk as scientists." Said Amari.

She then floated off as Steiner was about to get back up, but the building he was on shook. He ran to the nearest ledge and dropped down to the ground as Irons and Sylvester busted out of the building's wall. Sylvester was pushing Irons back, overpowering him as Iron's back opened as a turret assembled and opened fired on Sylvester. It shredded his clothes but did nothing to his skin as it only poked him. Sylvester then gripped Iron's arms and spartan kicked Irons back, while ripping his arms off. Irons crashed across a building wall as his shoulders were leaking out and wires hanging out. Sylvester then grabbed onto Iron's chest gripping through the metal and started whaling on his face. He kept punching his face over and over again, until he swung hard enough to badly damage his iron face plate.

"I wonder why they sent a machine to do a man's job?" Said Sylvester.

He then grabbed Iron's from his shoulder, until Iron's face plate fell as Sylvester was able to see his face and was immediately shocked. He froze as Sylvester saw a glimpse of a man with a same face as Irons.

"Sarge…?" Said Sylvester.

But James bolted in and rammed his fist into Sylvester's face as he launched him off across the street. James walked towards Sylvester as we see Albert run to him as he was hiding.

"Do what you can, kid. He's badly hurt. You okay, Irons?" James asked.

"Yeah. This guy broke through your armor." Said Albert.

"I'm still alive, aren't I? Albert, put on the war armor." Said Irons.

"Alright. James, I need a good five minutes!" Said Albert.

"I'll give you all the time you need kid." Said James as he smirked.

Sylvester got back up as he remember another glimpse of a young version of himself during a battle in a war. And by his side were his comrades and Irons was their sergeant. Sylvester stood back up as he took off his clothes as he was a muscular and had military tattoos of his company on his arm and branch on his back. Meanwhile, we see Allen and Mary in the towers entrance as they were taking care of Russo's men, until we see Caputo and Ricci walk out of the elevator doors as they took off their coats and ties.

"Time to shine, am I right, Caputo?" Ricci asked.

"Indeed." Said Caputo.

Allen noticed them as he bolted over to punch Ricci. But once he glanced at him, Allen slowed down as he moved at a normal speed. Ricci then punched Allen across the face as fell to the ground, while Mary noticed. She teleported to Allen and stood in front of him and face the Russo's body guards. Caputo approached her as Mary drew out her gun and opened fired twice, until suddenly, Mary was shot twice. She was hit on the shoulder and the side as she started bleeding from her wounds. She was shocked, until she noticed that she and Caputo had switched spots as he stood next to Allen. Caputo stomped on Allen's ankle as he yelled out in pain.

"Damn, the Steiner made this sound difficult." Said Ricci.

"Keep good eye on them." Said Malone.

He walked out of the stairs that were next to the elevator as his skin hardened, while the mob family's men fired at him. The bullets bounced off him as he grabbed a car and hurled it a group of men who were crushed.

"Defend this tower with you life!" Malone yelled.

But he was then shot in the forehead by a sniper bullet as Johnny was aiming his sniper rifle at him. He was on middle floors of another building as he glanced away from Malone as Mina charged her way into Malone and tackled him. She kept going and going as she pushed Malone through the tower and out into a near by train railway. Johnny quickly ran to help Mina as Allen took this moment to grabbed Mary and zipped away to retreat. He took her to a nearby building and placed her down on a table, while knocking everything off the table.

"Uh, I'm not going to lie. I-I don't know what to do." Said Allen.

"Leave me. You have to take out Russo's men. Especially those two." Said Mary.

"But how? Their abilities are crazy. Steiner didn't tell about those two." Said Allen.

"It doesn't matter. We have to take down the tower. No matter what." Said Mary.

"Okay." Said Allen.

Allen then quickly zipped away and brought Mr. Welch as he stood frozen with a panicked look.

"Where am I!?" Mr. Welch asked.

"Sorry, but she need your help. I'll get going." Said Allen.

He then ran off as Mr. Welch saw Mary and walked over to help her. Meanwhile, we see Mina draw out her shovel, while Johnny was still making his way as he shot down some of Russo's men on the way. Malone chuckled as he looked around and looked at Mina.

"I'm offended. They got a little girl to fight me?" Said Malone.

"I'm no normal girl. I'm going to be the one to kick your ass!" Said Mina putting on her goggles.

Suddenly, Malone noticed her goggles as Malone remembered a night that he had killed a couple at the train station Mina was found by Beverly and D.

"Huh, ain't that something. You're last name is Barrett, right? Yeah, I knew those two were hiding something. No wonder your parents did their best to hide you after I killed them." Said Malone as Mina was in shock.

"Wh-What…?" Mina responded.
