Dire

Mark and the rest of the group walked into the dungeon Boss's room. 5 different students with 5 different beasts were going to fight a single hobgoblin.

The teacher immediately went to the back wall of the room but didn't slack off in case the disciples needed saving.

"Alright, Ross. No more showing off. We need to fight this carefully," Ayral said.

"I know. Aren't I already fighting as a team even before this?" Ross asked.

"Yeah, I was just making sure you didn't decide to suddenly show off. Mark, put down the stuff, we will need your Goblin Warrior," Ayral said as she turned around towards Mark.

"Already done," Mark said while kicking the bag on the ground with his leg. The goblin warrior now had a sword, and Mark had one too. From the looks of it, they were both going to fight.

"Alright guys, get ready. I am going to start. Seph, be sure to have your slime ready to block, ok?" Ayral said.

"Um," Seph nodded.

"Attack," Ayral said.

SWISH

An arrow left the goblin archer's bow, flying straight towards the Hob goblin's face. The hobgoblin saw it coming and raised its club to stop the arrow just before it hit it.

The slime was already moving slowly forward towards the hobgoblin, which was the first thing the hobgoblin noticed when it put down the club.

"HGRRR" it growled and moved its body. Overall, the Hobgoblin dwarfed both Mark and Tim's goblin warriors. Its pale green skin and pointed nose were almost what defined it.

"Be careful, it's attacking," Mark let them know. Zapping wolf was already behind it after going around the room.

Just as it smashed down the club on the slime, the Zapping wolf too attacked the boss from behind.

A bolt of lightning appeared from where the boss was bitten for a split second before disappearing. The wolf ran back, but the club of the boss still hit the slime.

The slime was smashed into two, but it rejoined and became one once again.

Both the goblin warriors ran towards the boss and started swinging their swords. Tim's goblin had a much longer sword than Mark's and thus looked like it was actually holding a sword and not just a dagger.

SWISH

Another arrow flew towards the boss who couldn't do anything but dodge. At the same time, both goblin warriors swung at the boss.

The boss brought out the club to block both at once, but then the zapping wolf came from the back, biting it again.

"HGRR," it shouted and did a massive horizontal sweep across the ground in front of it. The goblin warriors were fast enough to jump back but the slime got hit and was thrown to the wall of the dungeon.

"It's Okay," Seph said. "It's alive."

Mark was quite surprised at how well the boss fight was going on. 'Everyone is pretty good at giving mental commands,' he thought.

He had seen many F-Ranked hunters who got a little too excited or anxious and would shout out nearly catching the monster's attention.

Once again, the goblin warriors went forward to attack and the boss blocked them. At the same time, the Zapping wolf ran behind the boss once more and bit it, sending out another bolt of small lightning.

The boss pushed away both of the goblin warriors and swung behind it, but the zapping wolf was once more gone. However, the boss didn't let it get away far.

It immediately jumped towards the zapping wolf far away and made a giant horizontal sweep. The strike managed to hit the wolf and send it flying towards the wall.

An arrow came towards the boss, but it ignored it. Then, it jumped towards the wolf and made a vertical swing towards the wolf's head.

If it hit the wolf, it would be dead for sure. So, in fear, Ross screamed, "Return," and called back the wolf into his body.

"Oh no, I can't use him anymore," Ross said.

"Dammit," Ayral shouted. One of their fighters was out so early into the hunt. "What do we do?" Ayral said.

"Shut up and shoot arrows," Tim said from the side while focusing on his goblin warrior's battle.

Ross was useless so he stood to the side, not getting in the way of the party's battle. The boss got angry that it didn't get to kill the wolf.

"HGHRR" it growled loudly once more. Mark and the rest flinched a little hearing such a loud sound reverberate in the tiny room.

He told the goblin warrior to seriously fight with the boss without retreating. Mark needed some sort of distraction.

"Keep sending arrows," he told Ayral quietly. Ayral didn't ask any questions and nodded. That was her only plan and purpose in this battle anyway.

The slime had made its way to the boss now and was wrapping itself around the boss's feet, trying to disrupt its movement.

Tim's goblin warrior attacked the boss at the same time. Putting a small cut on the boss's forearm. At the same time, Mark's goblin warrior swung as well.

The boss brought its club up and the sword got stuck on the club. The boss yanked the sword away from the warrior and kicked it backward.

Then it turned to the goblin warrior and swung the club, with the sword attached, at the goblin warrior.

"No, back," Tim shouted and called back his goblin warrior. "Sh*t," he shouted. Thanks to him, another fighter of the group was gone.

"Now, only 3 players were left on the battlefield. The goblin archer, the slime, and Mark's Goblin warrior.

The boss started to stomp the slime. While the slime could survive a lot of physical damage and get back together, it still had a limit.

And before the slime reached its limit, Seph called it back. Now there were only 2 fighters left on the battlefield.

Ayral's goblin archer, that didn't help much on the battlefield at all, and Mark's goblin warrior, who had lost its sword and was getting up from the ground after getting kicked.

The situation was starting to look dire.
