Chapter 38: I'll pick you up

"Raven, what a surprise to get your text." He needed to conceal his giddiness, but he couldn't. This woman was such a force of nature, she would bring him to his knees begging for more.

"Mr. Li, I hope I'm not disturbing you. I have a favour to ask, but please don't feel obligated." He was over the moon; he would give her the moon!

"Yes." He said sounding out of breath.

Sensing something was a bit strange with him, Raven was about to hang up.

"Mr. Li I can sense you are busy, I don't want to interrupt your…activities…with your fiancée. Call me when you're free, you now have my new number." She hung up.

Dumbfounded he stared at the phone in his hand. What activities? What fiancée?

He dialled her number again.

"Miss Vaughn, I am not busy with any activities, and I don't have a fiancée. I thought we cleared this up already." She frowned at his words but decided to let it go. Each to their own after all. She did like to tease him though, his reactions amused her to no end.

"If you're sure…I need your help. I am looking for new accommodations, but I am not familiar with the area and I'm hoping to use your realtor to find a house more suitable for my purposes. Can you help me with that?"

He was delighted. Home shopping. He would ask her to move in with him, just to have her there 24/7 but she probably wouldn't agree.

"Of course, I can help with that, but I need some time. Would it be more convenient for you to move to my property? It can be customised to your liking, and you wouldn't have to worry about finding something else." He knew he was too forward, but he had to ask. Afterall she was just a visitor in this world.

Raven considered his proposal. It was logical. He had space and she couldn't just change everything in Liehen's life so suddenly. Surely the woman had family and friends who would notice. She could fake a holiday or invent some training course abroad for a while, but if she were to buy a massive villa under her name, it would attract attention.

While she was considering it, Li Naihe was holding his breath, praying to everything she wouldn't get angry with him. He didn't expect her to agree, but why was she suddenly quiet. Was she really considering it? Hopeful that it might actually go the way he had hoped, he coughed lightly to clear his throat.

"I would need to first see your property to understand if I can customise it for my needs." She said thoughtfully "I will pick you up in an hour, I'm shopping now." With that, she hung up.

Stunned by her reply, he didn't know if he should laugh or cry. She was treating him like her assistant. The woman had no fear and no restraints whatsoever. 'Pick me up? Am I her pet now?' he tried to get angry at the thought, but somehow he was enjoying it. He has never been reduced to being bossed around, not by a man or woman. He was used to being respected, feared, but definitely not treated like a pet. Was he heading towards being a kept man? He sort of liked the idea even if it was far-fetched.

Laughing at the whole situation, he called one of his assistants to rearrange his schedule for today and tomorrow. He was not done with work today, but who knows what the vixen would do if he said he couldn't meet her.

An hour later, Li Naihe's phone buzzed with another text message.

"I'm outside."

He went straight to his window, trying to figure out where she was. He had 20/20 vision, but he couldn't see her. Deciding he didn't want to keep her waiting, he took his coat and his phone and headed to the lobby.

As soon as he reached the ground floor, there was quite the commotion at the front door of the building. Everyone was looking out the window, some people even went outside to take pictures.

What in the world was going on? All Naihe could think about was that the crying woman had come back to cause some more chaos. Ready to get her committed at this point, he angrily headed outside. To his surprise, no one was crying. What he saw however, made his breath catch in his throat.

'Hot!' was all he could think of.

Parked right in front of the main door of his headquarters was a brand-new matte black Lamborghini Sian. The car was impressive, and he did appreciate Italian mastery, but what had him completely flustered was the woman leaning against the car. Full leather bicker outfit, with knee high boots with heels that looked like they could kill a man. Raven probably could if he was being honest with himself. He started wondering if maybe it was a mistake to ask her to move in with him in case she decided she was bored and would kill him in his sleep. He wouldn't mind if it was her, but… still…

She looked dangerous with a pair of large sunglasses and her hair down, slightly curled at the ends, long enough to reach her waist. From the large sunglasses you couldn't tell who the woman was, but his eyes caught on the pair of full red lips now smiling at him. The tight outfit outlined her every curve on her hourglass shaped body, and he could see they were all the right things in all the right places. The sight was doing things to him he couldn't admit. He had seen plenty beautiful women before, and had them all, but this… he couldn't take his eyes off her. Liehen was petite, and very beautiful, but what he was thinking of was not exactly Liehen, but the woman behind the look. The reason this was so appealing to him.

Seeing him stare at her, Raven was getting impatient. Before she could snap at him, she remembered what he told her in his office earlier and decided to pay him back.

In her most seductive voice she said "Aimez ce que vous voyez?" [like what you see?] she of course had no intention of flirting with him, just pay him back for his forwardness.

Li Naihe had a completely different idea however, because her saying that, with her voice and her perfect French accent, made his knees buckle. Was this real? 'Shit! She'll be my undoing.'

He understood French and Raven had clocked on to that earlier in their conversations. She didn't want passers-by to understand so she switched to French.

Completely bewitched by the sight in front of his eyes he was still not moving towards her. Seeing as he was taking his sweet time, she pushed off from the car, and walked around to the driver's seat. Without another word, she got in the car and opened the passenger door for him.

Before she could say something that would ruin his mood, Li Naihe strode to the car with lazy movements, got in and closed the door.

"You went shopping?" His voice turning into a grunt, barely able to breath now, being in an enclosed space with her, and doing his best to control his urges. He was ready to ravish her, looking like Liehen or not, he was barely controlling himself.

"You like?" she smiled the most innocent smile, sounding very pleased with her purchase. "I didn't want to attract too much attention, so I had to give up on my usual style." she sighed, missing her Koenigsegg at home.

"You do this kind of thing often?" Li Naihe asked, misunderstanding what she had just said and thinking it was a usual occurrence for her to pick up men in expensive cars.

Raven didn't quite catch the meaning behind his question so with total honesty she replied "Yes I love it! It's one of my favourite things to do. If I could do this every day, I probably would, but in the real world, I'm too busy to enjoy it like this." Thinking how much she loved buying new cars and road testing them, even making improvements on them she sighed, missing her home a bit.
