I Think I'm Afraid Of Men

After a while Rita went back to her room, took a cold bath and headed straight down to the kitchen there she has to make pancakes which she took for breakfast, although it was almost noon. After eating she sat on the couch thinking hard about everything her mum told her. Rita couldn't bring herself to imagine what her mother went through. She knew every man isn't like Eunice ex husband who sold her off. Or like her dad who turned out to be a creep that liked Eunice and thought buying her was better than wooing her. Rita felt chilly. She didn't know how that story was supposed to help her in her smoothly going relationship. She had known Rex for three years but now she felt she needed more time to do so. Rex and her had plans for the future and that's probably why her mother wanted her to think we'll before going into a life commitment. Rita stared at the ceiling as she wondered. It was a Saturday. She normally enjoyed weekend but not this one. Rita felt she would never be vulnerable like Eunice but she didn't want to express a near case at all. For some reason she became scared.

Rita decided to continue her relationship with Rex but strictly. At times it seemed like she was too strict and it caused a fight between her and Rex. She was wrong but it's not she couldn't admit it she just didn't want to.

Knock.

"Who?" Rita responded to the knock on her door with a low and dry voice. Ryan opened the door to see his sister sitting on the floor with her head buried in between her legs. She just came back from work and had just taken a shower. Normally she would lay on her bed and focus on her phone but not today. He shut the door behind him, then walked towards his sister. Ryan sat down beside her and said "I see you're not ok. So I won't be asking." Rita let out a heavy sign and Ryan sat there silent for about two minutes before saying "Are you going to talk or should I?" Rita raised her head from her legs. She rested her head on her brother's shoulder and remained silent. "So I get to talk first." Ryan said.

"I think I'm afraid of men now."
