Another Sleepless Night

As if Stuart's words had dragged Sinclair back to reality, the CEO remembered why he even dared to fake a booking with the woman in the first place. He then looked down at the card that Stuart handed to him again. It was a rather professional-looking business card; however, the woman was indeed an escort from a website that catered to their services.

Ainsley then patted his friend's shoulder. "It's okay. The girl is pretty, after all. Geez, you looked so stiff. You have been talking to girls before, right?"

"Yes, but I never made any of them think that I am interested in them." Sinclair then handed the card to Stuart. "Run her clients for the last two weeks. Find anything that could lead to Roth's card and the cash card I asked for the last time. Locate her address, too.

"Hmph, so what if you don't work on Wednesdays? I'm not a client." He huffed as if he just tried to regain his morality. No, he wasn't that kind of male creature.

"You really don't have to hate her because of what she does." Ainsley then tried to pacify the other as they started walking again. "It's not her fault that she has that kind of work."

Sinclair only glanced at the friend. "Who said anything about hating her for being an escort? This is just a very personal stab at my ego as a supreme being. To think that I caught myself booking such services…" He then huffed again. "Moreover, women like her are pitiful. Instead of hating her, I'd rather try to get her out of that place. Then again, who was she for me to help out personally?"

At this, Ainsley hummed. "If she led you to Roth, wouldn't she be worth the reward?"

There was an immediate pause in Sinclair's steps. That was true. If that woman gave him Roth or just anything that could lead his stupid drunkard brother to him, then he should reward her. A proper job? Would she be willing? No matter. He'd just decide after they found Roth.

It was strange. Stuart had not reported until late afternoon. Sinclair had been waiting for the report on Alice Campbell, but Stuart still hadn't submitted it. Had he forgotten that this was connected to Roth, and it was their top priority at the moment?

Right now, Sinclair was browsing through the website that he saw on Alice's card. Without signing in, he couldn't view much about Alice's 'specialty' when it came to other things. He could only see that Alice was an excellent baker and a commendable babysitter. No wonder she could get battered by her clients; she would handle married men.

He then started to check the recommended list under the page. There were so many women on this website that he wasn't sure if it was their will to work here. As for Alice Campbell, he just hoped it wasn't… just so he could be generous and reward her for bringing his brother to him. If not, then… there was nothing he could do. Nothing. He would do nothing.

The door suddenly opened, and Sinclair loudly moved his mouse and clicked the 'close' button of the browser. He even ended up closing the important windows that he had to keep open. Sigh. At least, it was finally Stuart who came in to report.

"Anything that we could use?" Sinclair asked, but Stuart stayed quiet as if contemplating what to say. In the end, he only placed a folder on the desk. The CEO lifted a brow and then just opened the folder. However, his eye twitched. Stuart seemed to have given him the wrong file? It was of a man.

"Master, Alice Campbell is a fake name. His real name is Alexander Stacey." As if not seeing the strange look on Sinclair's face, Stuart started his report. "He used to work in his own bakery until it was seized from him under false charges. He was also thrown in prison for murder, and he broke his hands in his two-year stay.

"After that, he failed to find a job and just sold his body to this website. Upon signing in, it is also made clear that Alice Campbell is a crossdresser." Stuart waited for Sinclair to find the medical records. "Miss Campbell had a long history of service rendered to rich, married men who would sleep with her and then beat her up after. Her last known client was Mr. Waltz, who met her on the twenty-seventh floor of the hotel we stayed at.

"There is no client information that goes back to Master Roth's card or the cash card you asked for, Master." Stuart continued to the important part of the report and waited again until Sinclair got to the photos of her apartment. "I also found her residence. Should we go see Miss Campbell later?"

However, Sinclair frowned as he took a look at the map of the apartment's area. It seemed to be walking distance from the hotel that they went to. Could it be that…?

He took out his phone and called for Ainsley to come to his office at once. They waited for Ainsley to come first, and Sinclair sported a rather strange grin. He then gave Ainsley the printed photos of the apartment and the map. "What do you think?"

"Holy crap!" Ainsley's eyes widened. He then slammed at the desk in surprise. "Sinco! It's this place! I'm positive! The dirty walls and the cracked windows…! This apartment building is what I see in the visions!"

He reviewed the map as he picked up the page again. "It's… behind the hotel! Damn, no wonder I can feel like I'm so close!" Now that he thought about it. The stairs and the restrooms were blocking the south side of the hotel. No wonder he didn't get to see the view from where they were.

He brought down the page again. "Sinco, could it be that the visions suddenly stopped just now because we found her? I was being led to her instead of the apartment now?"

"I have no idea, but let's come see her tonight." Sinclair felt more confident in going. Screw coming to an escort's place; he was just going to pick up his stupid brother. Right, that was why he spoke to that woman; he was not a depraved man.

"Okay." Ainsley also assented with a nod. Even if it was another sleepless night, at least they were a step closer to Roth.
