The water from the faucet in the kitchen sink stopped running. Alice turned the knob and sighed as she finished washing the dishes. She then walked to the lounge to watch TV, only to hear knocking from her door. With a slight fear in her heart, she stepped closer soundlessly.
There was a peeping panel on the door, but she was scared to see the damn loan shark. She had paid him in full already, but he kept on coming around as if trying to hover over Alice to scare her. It was as if her horrified expression was such a beautiful face in their eyes.
She then opened the peeping panel, and the fat, bald man was indeed there with his three henchmen. Before she could close the peeping panel and pretend to be away, one of the henchmen broke down her door. She screamed, but she managed not to get caught up under the heavy panel.
"Ah, sweetheart! What took you so long to answer?" The fat, bald man walked in after the two henchmen did. One of them stayed outside as if discouraging all gossipers and onlookers.
"Grant, I already told you not to come here anymore." Alice pulled her body away as she crawled backward. Before she could get up and run away, one of the henchmen grabbed her real hair that was the lush brown mane. "Let me go! Please let me go!"
"Sweetheart, I had already told you. When I come visit you, you serve me." The henchmen received a cue and threw Alice towards the feet of his master. Grant then looked down and stepped on Alice's head. "Shouldn't you be serving me juice at least? Do I really have to repeat this over and over again?!" He drilled his foot when his voice rose.
Alice cried in pain, but she could only keep her body down. If she fought back, she would only get hurt some more. Her hands clawed at the floor, soon gritting her teeth in resentment.
Thud. Thud. Thud. A series of strange, heavy steps came from one of the rooms. Everyone heard it, and they all took a look at the hallway that led deeper into the house. Alice's eyes then widened as she remembered something.
"Check it out. Shoot whatever is making that noise," Grant said, but he retreated when it resounded. It felt so menacing that he felt his soul shaking at every sound.
One of the doors actually visibly opened, and the henchmen took out their guns and aimed at the hallway. Thud, thud, thud. The noise resounded again, but the henchmen only kept their guns aimed at the empty void. There was nothing, but the sound was coming closer to them.
Alice managed to sit up and cried as if scared. The henchmen were carrying magnum, after all. "Please don't show up. Please don't show up."
One of the henchmen then reacted to a putrid smell around him. It was as if something was breathing garbage next to him. However, in a split second, a tall creature showed up next to him. It was like a huge lizard with sharp teeth and a rough, white scaly body. It stood in its hind legs, with the front legs quite unaccounted for. The creature even breathed with its open mouth and swiftly chomped down on the henchmen's head.
"Kill it! Kill it!" Grant didn't know what it was, but he was scared. The creature just suddenly showed up and stood at two meters. It even bit down on one of the henchmen's heads. The same henchman screamed in terror, trying to fire his gun at the creature. However, it spun in its place and hurled its large and sharp tail at Grant. The spin also aided in its attempt to sever the head.
"No! Run away!" When the magnums fired and made the creature bleed, Alice cried out. She launched herself at one of the henchmen to distract him, but the one by the door joined the fray. The creature's supposed thick hide couldn't fight the piercing of the bullets.
In a low howl, it cried out as it fell down on the floor. It only managed to kill one of the henchmen before getting gunned down by the henchmen. Soon, it didn't even move anymore as blood pooled under its scaly body.
Grant then laughed out as he nursed the cut he got from the tail. He then spat at the oversized lizard on the floor. "Freaking Godzilla… take the body with you and skin that. Must be worth millions if that's really some kind of exotic animal."
"You think it's really worth human currency?"
A foreign voice resounded from behind him, and Grant could only turn to find the speaker. However, as soon as he turned to face the man, a clawed hand struck down at his face. He screamed in pain, but he felt intense pain and hot blood gushing from his head. The henchmen fired, but the hand only grabbed at Grant and used the fat body to catch the bullets.
Alice sucked in cold air as she watched the familiar man hurl a man twice his weight towards the henchmen. He then walked closer, waiting for them to get up from the floor. When one henchman aimed at his face, his slender huge claw swiped down and severed the hand holding the gun. He then slammed down to strike at the henchman's heart.
"Monster!" The remaining henchman tried to run away, but the man flashed in front of him and had him run into the slender claws himself. The henchmen couldn't help but choke on his own blood as he felt the claw pierce through his stomach and liver. The body then fell lifelessly on the floor.
"Please wake up. Oh, my God, please wake up!" Sinclair then heard Alice's voice as she tried to shake the lizard monster awake. She was clearly crying as if she was losing a friend. At this sight, Stuart hit the lights and placed the whole room in darkness.
Soon, a green mist dispersed from Sinclair's body. He walked next to the dying lizard and kneeled down, despite the blood on the floor. The mist then went to coat the dying lizard's body, and Sinclair ironically sighed in relief.
"Bastard, I finally found you."
