What Made You Think I can't Kill You?

The strange pause that Alice made took Stuart's attention. He suddenly relied on his heightened senses to pick up traces of whatever was bothering Alice. For some reason, he had also felt like something was wrong in their surroundings. Something—ah, no, someone was watching them.

At this, the two had the tacit agreement not to return to the VIP Lounge 4 in fear of leading the figure there. After all, the look in Alice's eyes made it apparent that she was trying to tell him something. Stuart was the most proficient in that kind of body language, and he had already figured out what she intended to say.

Whatever this was… it had something to do with Roth!

The two didn't walk back to VIP Lounge 4. On his phone, Stuart was sending messages, so he could get everyone out of the casino as soon as possible. However, he felt like something had just shown up in front of them. He stopped walking and waited for whatever it was.

"Knowing that you couldn't run away from me through a straight hallway such as this… and so you just stopped walking to make me show myself…" A big, bulky man walked into their sights from the corner up ahead. He only had hair in the middle of his head, and the rest were shaved cleanly. Even his eyebrows were erased from his forehead.

"We have no time for someone like you. Let us through." Stuart huffed and visually assessed the man. In his vision as a servant of the moonlight clan, he could easily tell that the man before them was not human. After all, the form it took was very evident of that.

"Tch, you think you can get away from me just because you asked me nicely?!" The man balled his fists and struck at the floor like a gorilla. The marble flooring cracked, and he grinned at them as if he was going to eat them. "Big Brother told me to kill you… and then eat the human. Hehe, human… I had never eaten a human like that before."

Stuart walked in front of Alice and held his hand out. A ball of green light converged on his palm, and it turned into an intricately designed glaive. The blade was red as if it had been colored by blood. With a ridiculing grin, he snatched the glasses off of his face. "I'm sorry to disappoint, then."

The bulky man then roared and rushed towards the two. Alice only retreated without screaming as she watched how fast Stuart moved. He kept on evading the bulky man's attacks, but his glaive could only leave superficial wounds at the bulky man. It seemed that the human form was just as strong as their real hide.

Because of this, Stuart only huffed as if he was not done yet. He brandished the glaive like a master of the blade, but the blade began oozing with a red mist. The bulky man then glared at the blade first before at the servant.

"I am Stuart Stein of the Stein family, the master enchanters of the north. It was your misfortune that you have made me summon a blood blade. I shall send condolences to your big brother later. Now… perish!"

He sent a spinning strike at the bulky man. The bulky man only blocked the blade with his arm, thinking that the enchantment was too weak against him. However, he felt an itch on his skin that met the blade… only for his arm to explode!

A frown etched heavily on Sinclair's forehead. He just received an encrypted message from Stuart. Enemies were in the casino? The thought of letting Roth escape from their interrogation alarmed him… as well as the fact that Ainsley was nowhere in sight. However, he didn't want to leave his parents here on their own.

He fiddled with his phone and tried to call Ainsley. For some reason, it was taking him a while to answer. As soon as he did, Ainsley's voice answered in a happy hum: "Yeah? What's up, Sinco?"

"Where are you? Get your ass back here." Sinclair sounded impatient and furious, but Ainsley knew that the man was very worried.

"Did something happen?" Upon hearing the growling coming from his friend, Ainsley twitched. He then looked down at his lower half as if trying to hurry himself up from using the urinal. The coldness in the casino had made him go to the restroom, while Michelle waited outside. "I'm actually in the restroom right now…"

"…just get back here immediately. It's dangerous—"

Sinclair was not even finished talking when an explosion happened outside the restroom. Ainsley loudly groaned when he got knocked down, the phone flying out of his hand. His entire body ached in pain from the blow, but he attended to his fly first. Just as he finished, he saw Michelle dashing to pick him up from the ground.

He frantically crawled on the ground to grab his phone before she carried him to her shoulder. She formed a green ball—the size of a soccer ball—at the tip of her foot, and she kicked it to the wall opposite from where she had come from. The servant mercilessly broke the wall and jumped through the hole she made.

Behind them was a thin woman who eyed in their direction. When he accidentally took a look at her, their gazes met. She then smirked and turned into a green blur to chase them. Ainsley held onto his phone like it was a treasure, but he couldn't talk to Sinclair anymore.

"Sinco, save me…"

Thunk! Roth kicked a metal trash can in his path. The heavy trash can flew across the hallway. They were still inside a seven-star casino, and yet Roth behaved like he was in an alley. It's just that… following the trash can with his gaze led him to stare in a direction from where a familiar aura came. Roth's entire body shuddered in fear, but he steeled his heart.

Someone walked out of the corner, and he held onto the mouth of the trash can to push it to a stand. He then chuckled. "Doesn't this scene look very familiar to you, Full Moon Garance?"

"You really are following me, aren't you?" Roth spat at the side. "Aren't you scared that Rosen is here? What made you think he can't kill you?"

"Oh, he can kill me, alright." The man then chuckled in his gentle-sounding voice. "What made you think that I can't kill you before he arrives?"
