Fear washed over the totality of the younger dragon. The man in front of him was still shrouded by a whitish mist that concealed his image from being recognized by the eyes and by the cameras. He could only recognize this mysterious non-human by the waves of fear that he could instill on Roth in just one glance. It was why he couldn't hunt down this man.
However, right now, the same despicable creature was standing in front of him. It's just that… Roth was still freezing from fear.
In a breath's span, the despicable man dashed to attack him. The moonlight dragon channeled his magic to build a shield even if he was not used to be on the defensive. However, the despicable man could instantly summon a claw that destroyed the shield and pierce through Roth's body just the same. Roth couldn't help but retreat as far as he could.
"Idiot." The despicable man laughed out. "And you are a prince of your clan?"
Roth didn't know what he meant by that, but by the time he landed meters away from the man, someone else dashed towards him. The force of the bash cracked Roth's left arm upon contact with the servant that looked like a wrecking ball in size. He spurted blood from the jolt and hit the wall to his right. Bang! Roth didn't go through, but the cracks on the wall spread all across the hallway.
When he fell to the floor, he struggled to get up. His eyes glinted in resentment as he gazed at the despicable man walking towards him. The wall just now had a barrier to keep their activities under wraps… and to make sure he wouldn't escape from them.
"Full Moon Garance, you barely escaped from me the last time. What made you think that you can do it again?" The despicable man then glanced at the huge servant, and the servant walked closer and stomped at the back of the dragon.
"You… you will pay for this!" Roth didn't have much power against this despicable man. He didn't know how such a person could be this strong in this era; he didn't even know if Sinclair would be able to defeat such a person now that his powers were halved from the split of his dragon heart.
However, Roth was just reduced to enduring the crushing blow of the servant's stomping.
Every stomp that pressed against his body was breaking bones and rupturing organs. Blood dripped from Roth's mouth, even reaching his nose and ears. His magic could barely shield against the brute force of such a thing. Roth, after all, depended on his speed to cause damage. Defending like this was never something he was good at.
The despicable man only chuckled as he watched the younger dragon getting crushed more than he could handle. In a few more hits, his chest would probably be mashed under the servant's shoe. By then, he might be able to extract a dragon heart that solidified upon death. It's just that he felt a whiff of magic that broke his barrier.
He darted his glare in the direction where his servant came from, and soon, a blur of green and red dashed before him. He managed to retreat and deflect the blow with his arm, but he felt a patch of scorch hit his skin. Before he could neutralize it with his own magic, the patch exploded.
"Enchanter!" The despicable man growled as he held onto his bleeding arm. How did someone like that servant of Rosen pierce through his barrier? That was impossible.
He actually knew that the Stein family, the longest servant family of the moonlight dragon clan, was a family of enchanters. They could enchant blades that could detonate the wounds incurred remotely. Just when he thought one servant of his was enough to make the Steins busy.
"You must be the leader." Stuart huffed and continued attacking. As he moved, it was easy to tell that he was bathing in someone else's blood instead. That servant from earlier didn't stand a chance against him in his full power and had run away.
Since Sinclair told him to look for Roth, he had to look for the second prince. This time, it was after Roth begrudgingly accepted the microchip shot like he was some domesticated pet.
While Stuart engaged the despicable man, the huge servant received an order to finish off Roth. However, before he could do so, he felt something small latched on his back as if her thin arms could choke him and stop him from moving. Who would have thought that Alice climbed the huge dumb servant with a brutal intent?
She pulled out a hairpin on her head, letting her hair splay in the air with her action. As if a guard against a pervert that didn't hesitate to get physical, the hairpin had a sharp edge. Bang! She struck down at the servant's eye with a murderous glint in her eyes.
"Big Brother!" The dumb servant cried out as his one eye radiated with intense pain. He tried to grab Alice, but she was quick to drop from the height. The servant roared in anger and fixed his eyes on the slender woman who held a bloodied hairpin. "I will eat you, human!"
"Ms. Campbell!" Stuart called out as he glanced at the raging servant and the woman he was targeting. What part of staying still didn't she understand? Then again, considering that she was as attached to Roth as he was to her, Stuart couldn't really blame her for her actions. It's just that… what was she? She was just a human who could get lucky.
At this distraction, the despicable man tried to impale Stuart on his claw, but Stuart managed to block against the claw that almost broke his glaive's staff handle. It was the only time that Stuart felt like this enemy was actually stronger than he expected.
As for Alice, she slowly backed away as the servant geared into rushing towards her. When he did, she just rolled to the side as she had learned a lot of things in prison. She just didn't want to fight when she knew she wouldn't win. However, right now, she needed to save Roth.
"Roth!" She ran towards Roth to pick him up, but the dumb servant actually managed to bash in her direction. If he was lucky, he could crush both Alice and Roth in one move. They were nothing but fragile beings right now, after all.
