Chapter 3 It's Actually You?

The footsteps stopped in front of her, and she continued feigning unconsciousness in order to fool whoever had appeared before her. Although she had no idea who it was, she had a faint idea of who it might be.

"I know you're awake. Stop pretending Min Yoo," said the man who stood in front of her.

Hearing the familiar voice, Min yoo opened her eyes abruptly and looked at the man who shamelessly hovered in front of her as she exclaimed in disbelief," It's actually you?"

"What of me," chuckled Min ho wickedly.

"You son of a bit**, how dare you? RELEASE ME, NOW!"

"And what if I don't. What will you do about that? I think you are misunderstanding something right now, you're the one in trouble not me."

"What are you trying to do, you bastard? I won't let you off, I swear to God, I'm gonna-"

"You'll be able to do something only if you are able to escape from here alive, right?" said Min ho haughtily as he cut off Min Yoo before she could say anything more.

"What? Y-you're going to kill me?"

"That's correct."

"But why? Is it because of that case?"

"It is and you just had to accept it. Do you know what troubles I had to go through in order to take it?"

"Pufftt, hahaha! You think I care!" Min Yoo burst into laughing. Min ho and the others thought that she lost her mind due to fear. She had already expected that this guy was behind all of this as there is no other lowly person who would dare to kidnap her since the ones that are really her enemies knew of her family background, therefore dared not touch her. Although she did not think that he would threaten to kill her for such a trivial case.

Her main concerns right now were to figure out who could have exposed her locations. The only one who knew was Luna who had invited her to have a drink at a bar that very time she got kidnapped.

'Could it be? It couldn't be, right?' she thought to herself silently convincing herself against her doubts.

She calmed herself down and began to think of alternatives of how to get out of this situation instead of pondering about the possible betrayal of her closest friend. Her phone had been taken, her hands and feet had been tied, there were at least six individuals including Min ho who clearly knew how to fight. She was a blackbelt in Taekwondo and she was proficient both in Kendo and Judo, so she could easily defeat them without much difficulty, however the effects of the drug still lingered, so she had to alter her plan a little.

She knew that this damn Min ho would not hesitate to kill her, so she diverted his attention by speaking to him in order to buy herself some time to untie the ropes and hopefully escape here alive.

"Min ho you'll regret this."

"Will I?" he said, he paused for a moment and continued," Hmm, I guess you must've guessed by now that Luna was the one that told me where to find you after all she was the only one to know of your whereabouts at the time, right?"

"So, she really did? That two-faced wench!"

"You don't look as terrified as I thought you would? Just as I would expect of the virtuous attorney with an almost 100 % rate success in winning any case of any difficulty. You really deserve to be my nemesis and rival but sadly today will be the day you meet your miserable end at my hands. Haha!" exclaimed Min ho while sniggering like a maniac. Little did he know what was awaiting was not victory but utter defeat.

As soon as Min Yoo untied her hands, she took out the pin which was on her head and cut the ropes binding her legs instantly. Working as a criminal lawyer, she always expected to be overthrown into dangerous situations that might cost her life, so she always kept a sharp little dagger in the size of a pin on her hair, so that she could use it as a weapon.

She freed herself and pushed Min ho to the ground, and then ran to the entrance of the warehouse. The four guys ran to chase her down. The two that were guarding the entrance launched themselves to stop her, but she successfully dodged. She was grateful to her older brother who had requested for her to learn martial arts when they were young. This skill helped her get out of multiple issues and dangers, so she was truly thankful to her dear brother.

He always supported her in everything she did and gave her numerous advice that she now put into use. She was a little scared at the moment to be honest, nonetheless, she did not want to just wait for death to come to her when she knew that she could at the very least try to save herself. She suddenly felt the adrenaline course through her veins, so she ran with all her strength, and parried the punches and kicks that came towards her. She avoided all hits to her vitals and attempted to shove them aside.

Bang!

All of a sudden, a gunshot fire was heard. Before she could even react, she fell to the ground desperately trying not to give in the pain. She could not comprehend what was happening, but she knew that she had been shot. She could feel her left leg growing numb by the second from the tremendous pain that sent signals to her nerves. She tried to get up but one of the guys took advantage of her injury and kicked her in the injured the leg.

"Aghrrr! Hah, hah!" she panted and screamed in pain. She hardened her fists and punched that man and got herself up despite the excruciating pain. She could not come in accordance that she would die a dog's death and even if she did, she would be sure to drag him down with her.

"You damn-"

She jumped at Min ho who had rushed near her and punched him on the face till it grew black and blue. The other guys came behind her and tried to drag her down, but she proved to be much stronger than any of them. She had never killed before, but she could not be bothered by her feelings right now on the matter. Her survival was of utmost important right now, the rest she would handle them afterwards.

She picked up the gun that was lying down three steps away from her and held Min ho by his collar before reaching out her hand to take hold of the gun. Min ho who was below her kicked her on the abdomen, but she did not let go of him and still reached her hands to the gun.

She endured the pain and successfully got her hands on the gun. She took it and slammed it on the face of Min ho making him bleed a lot and caused him to loose consciousness. She shot the gun at the men who tried to hit her and successfully killed them all. Unfortunately, her eyes were obscured due to her dizziness that was caused because of the loss of blood so she failed to kill one of them and got shot on both her shoulders and her stomach.

After she got shot, she did not let go of the gun but clenched it firmly and shot the man in the head, she then proceeded to kill Min ho. Everyone had died except her, she survived but it could not be said that she would be able to leave here alive. She was heavily injured and needed medical service right away.
