When she woke up she was laying on the top bunk of a bunk bed. Below her was the real life Arcus. She couldn't believe that she was with the real life Arcus! Not in a dream or anything! She got out and jumped down, not using the ladder. Why would she be here? She looked outside. She would assume it was around five in the morning from the sun's position. She looked down. The snow looked thick. And she felt too lazy to take the stairs. Well here it goes. She jumped down. Something weird happened just then. A root from the ground came up to work as a slide for her. Has she finally found her power? But how? Wasn't she powerless? Well, I guess she was wrong. The slide was fun. She stretched when she reached the ground. The snow was quite beautiful. She saw a lake. She wondered what it was named. She envisioned a root lifting her back to the window, and it worked! Then she fell face first onto the hard wood. Her body made a thumping sound. She managed to get up, then she stumbled to her bed. Wow! That was tiring. She felt dizzy from using so much energy.
"So you found out how exhausting it is to use your power against gravity." Arcus observed.
"Yeah, you startled me!" Crysanthe exclaimed.
"You were lucky you could make it to the window, considering how weak you are. The average god would easily make it up the window without a thought on their first try. Oh whatever." Arcus had to mention.
"You really had to mention that?"
"Yep! Can't have you feeling too special, now can I?" Arcus added annoyingly.
"Oh, no, it's fine, just let me punch you!" Crysanthe growled through gritted teeth.
"Oh, don't get too angry, tiger." Arcus joked.
"Just stop! Anyways, where are we?" She asked.
"We're in The Forest Of Dreams. And the lake that I'm pretty sure you saw back there is called Lake Ice because it's near a ginormous glacier called Dream Glacier." Arcus told her.
"Umm... Wow... That's a lot of information, I don't really know what to do with it!" Crysanthe exclaimed.
"But didn't you learn about it in school?" Arcus asked.
"Nope, they didn't want us to fight you because that could be messy." She explained.
"Woah that's umm... Smart. I guess." Arcus replied, speechless.
"Anyways, we should probably go get breakfast." Crysanthe said to break the silence that formed after Arcus uttered those words.
"First get ready, at the table you have to look perfect." Arcus stopped her.
"Ok then."
She then left through a door that she assumed led to the bathroom, and surprisingly it did. She grabbed a toothbrush that was still in its package and unpackaged it. She quickly brushed her teeth then realized that she needed clothes.
"Umm, Arcus can I borrow your clothes?" She asked.
"Oh, of course!" Arcus called back.
Crysanthe took the one crop top that she found and put it on. It had a beautiful lavender color. She was used to the cold by now, so she could wear short sleeves. She then found some grey camo leggings and put them on. She then went to the bathroom and combed all the tangles out of her hair. She found a hair tie and tied her golden hair up into a neat bun.
"Come on Crysanthe, we're going to be late to breakfast!" Arcus yelled from the door.
How'd she get ready so fast? She wondered. She sprinted down the stairs after her, and they soon reached the table.
A man was talking, he looked like a boy version of Arcus. Perhaps he was Arcum, Arcus's twin brother. Anyways he was saying, "... girl must be from the prophecy of old, she fits. 'Goddess of human, she will return, one taken away from the father of all, the eldest of all.' Those words are the prophecy of old."
