Well breakfast was awkward, especially after hearing them talking about the prophecy of old. And Crysanthe did suspect that the person that they were talking about was her. She did not like the fact that they were talking about her when she wasn't around. Arcus approached her.
"This is you training schedule, I'll be right there with you incase anything goes wrong." Arcus spoke.
"Umm ok, so this training seems a little dangerous you know. It says jump off the highest floor and try to make a root slide. And that's only the warm up!?" She mentioned.
"So yeah, it is a little dangerous, but remember, I'm the rainbow goddess, I can just create a solid rainbow from you if you don't do it properly." Arcus answered.
"Well... Fine I'll do it." She grumbled.
Arcus then showed her to the top floor. She had to then create a branch to get her to the roof. She was so high up that the horses that were galloping around looked like tiny dots. She jumped off and tried to get a root. But she couldn't. She was going to die! NO! A root shot up from the ground, she still had a while to fall thankfully. She couldn't create the root for any longer. Her energy was beginning to drain. She had to stop the root so she could jump down, but there was still ten feet to go. She didn't care, she might drain too much energy getting the root all the way down. She braced herself then jumped. Air woodshed past her. Her hair flew behind her. She closed her eyes. Then she hit the ground. Her feet absorbed the impact. She had made it! She couldn't believe she did. It was hard to do such training. Arcus was already waiting for her down below.
"You made it! But I expected for you to have more energy. Anyways good job, you did ok. But I do expect for you to try harder next time, I believe that you can make it farther." Arcus graded her, then added, "Ok, this time try to get to the roof, go all out!"
Crysanthe felt sad that she couldn't deliver. She should be able to do better. She was weak. Like she always was. Now that she had a power she was the weakest at it despite being the eldest. She should be able to do better. She was unworthy. Dumb. If she was smart she would be able to do better. She would've been able to get to the bottom. She should be able to do better. She was a literal goddess.
"Umm hello! You there?" Arcus asked as she waved her hand in front of her face.
"Yeah, sorry, I spaced out." Crysanthe apologized.
Crysanthe then tried to push herself up on a root. She felt her energy draining half way. She had to sit down, but it was hard to use so much power. She felt herself starting to fall asleep. Come on Crysanthe, you aren't weak are you? She told herself in her mind, trying to give her a boost. It worked a little, but she still had a while to go. She held her breath to use less energy. She imagined all the energy from her body seeping out into the root. She was so close to the top when she couldn't go any longer. She had no power. She had used it all. She had to breathe. She took a huge gasp of air, but she had used too much. The root disappeared. She caught herself with her fingertips. But too much energy had been expended. She fell. Air speeded past her. She started to accept death. It was right at her doorstep. It was right in front of her now. She fell to the ground, and she felt death ingulf her.
