69. Eyyy

Sitting in the back of the classroom we waited for the teacher to arrive and got some odd looks because of our strange eyes.

Honestly the room we stayed in was pretty nice if a little old school. But Ning'er was used to places like this since she had lived in them her whole life. So she adapted quickly.

However now wasn't the time to think about that because the teacher arrived.

"My name is Higa Nori and I will be the general studies teacher for class one during these next 6 years. Hopefully you all put in your best effort during this time as your grades here may determine your position in the 13 court guard companies. Depending on how you do could mean the difference between attracting the attention of a certain squad captain or sweeping up trash outside the city." He says stiffly. "During the next 6 years you will learn the laws of soul society, Hakuda or Hand to Hand combat, Hoho or movement techniques used to evade your enemies or approach them, Zanjutsu or the art of sword fighting, and Kido or demon arts using soul force to cast spells. If you excel in any of these areas a squad will be recommended to you based on your talents however you may seek to join another squad if you prefer. You will learn all about each squad, military ranks involved in those squads and what they specialize in."

At this a couple of people enter the room carrying cases which contain simple looking katana with black sheaths.

"Now before we begin you will each be given a Zanpakuto or soul sword. You are to keep these on your person at all times, any not doing so will be punished. If you lose your zanpakuto you will not be given another one. If I see you swinging them at your classmates you will be punished. If I see you playing with them like toys, you will be punished. These are weapons not toys. Now line up in single file order to retrieve your zanpakuto while I explain more about them." Higa Mori states in a firm voice.

Everybody gets in line while the teacher continues to speak.

"The Zanpakuto you are recieving right name is in the state called Asauchi, its basic sealed form. You will learn to meditate and bond with your blade, over time it may develope a soul and you may learn its name, once this happens the blade evolves into what is called a Shikai form. Each sword name of spirit is unique as the person who wields it." He explains as I make it to the case and pick up my sword.

'Scan'

[Soul sword acquired, sword spirit embryo found, would you like to bind to you?]

'Yes.'

Suddenly there was a flash of light in the classroom and everyone looked over even the teacher in question.

The simple black sheathed katana had shifted to show a mirror like ball in my hand. The ball shifted and squirmed like liquid metal before relaxing in my hand.

I heard something in the depths of my soul.

(Mimic...my name is Mimic...)

"Uhh teacher I just got my Shikai is this normal?" I ask poking the blob of mirrored metal that jiggles slightly.

The teacher looked stunned. "This has never happened before. Someone getting Shikai as soon as they touch thier blade is unheard of." He answers.

"Well then. Carry on." I joke putting the blob of metal on my head and returning to my seat ignoring the shocked looks of everyone in the room.

Everyone recovers quickly and tries to get thier zanpakuto hoping for the same results but they are all disappointed.

Everyone seems attracted to the little ball of metal which seems to be looking around with a metallic tentacle. Kind of reminds me of a silver flubber, I wonder if it bounces.

(Please..no bounce Mimic...)

I internally chuckle while the teacher whispers a couple of things to one of the students who brought in the cases of weapons.

A bit of natural instinct on how to use mimic is pushed into my head. It's rather fitting that it copies weapons and mimics thier abilities, but that isn't all it can do. It can mimic everything about a person it touches, thier fighting style, thier speech, thier memories becoming a perfect copy of whoever it touches.

Considering all my abilities generally focus around copying things, weapons, spaces, DNA, even the rinnesharingan with jutsu and combat this is pretty much the best suited weapon for me as it has the ability to teach me how to become a different person completely.

Problem is I've gotta touch them with mimic. I also can't use my ghost form in this world as pretty much everyone can see ghost and my ghost body doesn't go through walls in this world like normal.

Well something to think about for later.

General class ended rather quickly before we we instructed to head to Zanjutsu class.

I'm pretty sure they teach kendo or something similar here? Well just another martial art to learn.

"How come your sword changed already?" Ning'er asks looking at the blob of metal.

"Guess I already bonded with it." i smile at her as the others listen in. Which is true, even if I cheated a little bit. Still counts!

Of course this would also cause a small commotion because it had never happened before, even I wasn't expecting it to happen. I probably just bypassed the whole meditation and bonding stage by bonding with it right away using the matrix.

"I wanna touch it!" Stella says with sparkle eyes.

Chuckling I grab the blob and place it in her hands. Ning'er also touches the strange metallic blob. Honestly it's just like a smooth slime, very cool to the touch like metal.

It doesn't take long before we reach the zanjutsu class which looks kind of like those old school dojo with wooden sword and mats everywhere. Mimic whips out a tentacle and grabs onto my body before swinging over.
