Twin brothers joined military finally.
The recruits were subjected to physical exercise they were ordered to run around the field four times, others didn't make it they didn't manage to run around the field four times the recruits were reduced in number they were assembled in a straight line.
"Congratulations you are now officially qualified to join the military" Damsel said.
David was very surprised he didn't pass through a rigorous recruitment exercise other recruits suffered a lot.
At the Nakuru city, Robin rushed to the recruitment area reaching the stadium he saw a lot of recruits being assembled he saw military officers looking at him closely he was very nervous he didn't know why he is looking at him that way entered the gate of the stadium.
"You come here!" Soldier ordered.
Robin went towards the soldier, the soldier removed a photo and showed him.
"Is this you?" Soldier asked
Robin looked at the photo he saw David his twin brother he thought hard
"If I say no the military man would say I am lying I better say yes," Robin said to himself.
"Yes Sir that is me," Robin said.
Why are you giving us hard time to find you "Major General Ken knows you and you are required to give your academic documentation," the Soldier said.
"I am sorry what delayed me is the documentation required I had misplaced," Robin said.
"You could just have come even without the documentation you could be recruited and later you bring" Soldier said.
"Follow, m,e" the soldier said.
Robin followed the soldier past the recruits assembled on a straight line to where the recruiting officers were.
"Here is David major General Ken wanted to be recruited," Soldier said.
Major Samuel stood and looked at the picture carefully and looked at Robin.
"It's him give him the appointed letter," Samuel said
The recruiting officers processed the appointment letter and gave it to Robin.
"You sit here and wait for the next instruction" Samuel instructed Robin.
Robin sat but he was a bit nervous that he has lied and he could be in trouble, but he had to compose himself as he recalled what Jacob had told him about the recruits who ran away after the ugly military carrier came to pick them Robin laughed at what he remembered.
" Remove your shirts remain with your necked chest as for the ladies remain with your T-shirt" major Samuel ordered.
The recruits did as they were told Robin was surprised as to why he is not being subjected to the rigorous recruiting exercise.
One of the recruiting female officers came and sat next to Robin.
"How did you come to know major general Ken he is the most powerful figure in the Kenyan military" Liner asked.
Robin took his time to respond he didn't want to spoil everything he thought.
"Maybe general Ken has met David and I I don't talk wisely I will spoil everything," Robin said to himself
He thought heard he came up with the idea.
"General ken is our family friend I don't know him well but they are very close to my parents," Robin said.
Liner took time to think and she realized that he is talking sense but Robin was very nervous that they will discover him that he is a mistaken identity.
As the recruits passed through a rigorous recruiting military exercise Samuel came towards Robin.
"Are you sure you need to join the military?" You are a university product you have a clean A with distinction" Samuel asked.
"My idea is to be trained as a military doctor that is my dream" Robin replied.
"That is a perfect idea," Samuel said.
The recruitment exercise continued Robin sat with liner waiting for the next instruction.
"What is the next course of action?" Robin asked.
"Yours is over wait for the major Samuel to tell you which Barracks you will report early next month though it's written that you will sport at Gilgil barracks they might change and you find yourself reporting to Eldoret barracks" liner said.
"I am yearning to start training as soon as possible" Robin said.
"But it is a rigorous training you need to endure to the end," Liner said
"You are amongst the lucky few you were recruited by your person you will not pass through rigorous military training" Liner said.
"You are having a good grade you will be subjected to minor training and you go to class to study medicine free of charge if you resign you can be employed anywhere in the world military doctors are very marketable" liner reiterated.
Robin smiled when he heard what liner told him, he knew her mother will not be able to pay for his university medicine education, it is very expensive, and also years of study are many.
What was on his mind is to find a way to convince her mother that he has secured a job for her to allow her to go to military training without her mother knowing.
He didn't want his mother to be suspicious in anything he knew that if his mother get to know that he is joining the military she will not accept, he thought immensely.
David has already been recruited Damsel gave him instruction.
"Congratulations you are been recruited you are going to be trained in Eldoret barracks you are going to be picked her on first of next month don't fail or you are going to be searched and brought by force," Damsel said.
Okay sir I am coming I will not let Major general Ken down" David responded.
"You are free to go home," Daniel said.
David went to Kisumu city town to take lunch he was very happy to have been recruited to the Kenyan military.
He went and make a photocopy of the appointment letter for him to keep for future reference.
Robin walked home happily after being recruited as a soldier but he had several questions lingering in his mind.
"Did David go to the recruitment exercise in Kisumu?" He asked himself.
"Who is this major general Ken?" Robin asked himself.
"It's unbelievable that I have secured a job as an army officer but my mother is against it a good thing is that the military track is going to pick all the recruits at the stadium," Robin said.
He opened the bag and placed his appointment letter and made sure that his mother Sandy will not get access to the letter.
"What am I going to do for my mother to accept me to report to the military barracks?" Robin said to herself.
He was very happy to have joined the military but there is a problem with his mother sandy she knew what entails being a military officer is a matter of life and death, he hurried to reach home her mother had a visitor he entered the house.
"Robin my son long time," Janifer said.
"Long time too where have you been," Robin asked.
"I have been at the Kericho hospital when you were transferred I became lonely that is why I came to check on you," Janifer said.
"We missed you we are happy that you came to check on us my mother has been talking about you whenever we have a conversation," Robin said
Sandy laughed and looked at Robin.
"I heard that you performed very well in school you had a mean cradle of A that is an outstanding performance," Janifer said.
Robin smiled and looked at his mother his mother smiled back.
"You said you are going to join the military at your younger age would you if you?" Jenifer asked.
"I am still thinking about joining the military I have not decided I went to check if the university has posted the admission letters online I have downloaded here is it" Robin responded.
Sandy stood and wailed in happiness, Robin handed over the letter to them they looked at the admission letter from Kenyatta university.
"I am reporting in three months medicine course," Robin said.
"I am happy for you doctor"; Janifer said.
Sandy smiled happily when he heard Janifer referring to Robin as a doctor.
Sandy continued with the conversation not knowing that already her boy has been recruited as a soldier
"The course is very expensive and it is going for eight years and after I go for four years again," Robin declared.
Janifer and sandy looked at the course and the entire course fee was ranging million-plus that cutting short the happiness they had.
"Don't worry God will provide a way" Janifer said.
Robin made sure the military letter does not appear anywhere on the table he took it and hide it under the bed.
