Twin brothers reporting to the Barracks.
David went to the cypa and discovered that the the university admission letters are out he printed and took it with his appointment letter after receiving from the military recruitment department his mother Maggy was waiting.
Maggy was waiting for him anxiously he made sure that he hide the appointment letter from the military he reached home and found that Maggy and Silvia were seated with her mother.
"David we are anxiously waiting Silvia has received her meter from the cypa cafe here it is how about yours" Maggy asked.
David removed he accidentally removed with the military appointment letter Maggy held but David snatched from her.
"Why are you snatched the letter from me?" Maggy asked.
"I gave you wrong paper its jus a paper" David responded.
He handed the university letter to her.
"Here it is" David said.
Maggy received the letter and read.
"School of medical unbelievable!" Maggy interjected.
Silvia moved closer to read together the letter as David went inside his room to hide the military appointment letter.
"You mean David is going to be a doctor, he is going to pursue medicine" Silvia said.
Maggy very excited she run short of words, David came to the sitting room from his room after hiding the military appointment letter.
"My son I am very proud of you" Maggy said.
"Mum, in l understand but Medicine course is very expensive course to take, I don't know how we will manage to raise fund" David asked.
"Don't worry I have uncles who are ready to support you just report to the university and you will get the money don't focus on the money focus on your studies" Maggy said.
"I didn't manage to get the highest score to go for medical but it is fair enough for me to go for the university education thanks to David he made sure I passed the national examination" Silvia said.
"My family and my relatives are very happy for me for being the first Lady to have a grade of B+" Silvia added
"That is wonderful you are going into the university to take business course of human resource and management" Maggy said
"Its a marketable course especially as a lady many companies nowadays hire ladies to fulfill the gender requirements by the Kenyan constitution" Maggy reiterated.
Robin and Maggy were seats at the sitting room they heard a knock at the door Robin rushed and opened the door it was Ben the Nakuru hospital administrator and also Sandy's boss Robin rushed back and sat he heard Dr Ben very much.
"Hallow Sandy glad to see you how are you guys doing?" Dr Ben said.
"We are fine thank you welcome to my home" sandy responded.
Robin very uncomfortable with Dr Ben he kept quiet and listened to their conversation.
"I am happy Veronica had B+ in her national examination she is going to pursue medicine after a year or so in the university I am very happy thanks to your boy" Dr Ben said happily.
Sandy laughed happily.
"They were studying here until late at night their hard work has finally paid congratulations to them" Sandy said.
Robin smiled and looked at Dr Ben shyly.
"I have not met my daughter for me to ask her the performance of your boy" Dr Ben said.
"He managed to score a mean grade of A clean A he has gotten the the letter from Kenyatta university to pursue medicine course" Sandy said.
"What!" Dr Ben interjected.
"I am very sorry there is a time I treated the boy badly" Dr Ben said apologetically.
Robin saw him and he was sorry what he did.
"Robin please forgive me I know one time you will come and work in my hospital you can even be my boss" Dr Ben said.
"Don't worry its behind me I will never remember the past Veronica made me to forgive you long ago that is why he managed to score that mean grade of B+" Robin said.
Regarding to the fee I know medicine course is not a jog when it comes to payment I will see what I will do hospital and help from government can boost you because I know you will come to my hospital to do an internship program" Dr Ben said
Sandy stood and jumped in happiness Robin looked on the floor knowing that he will not go to the university
The doctor left sandy thanked him Robin went back to his room
I was approaching the deporting day Goethe recruits Robin and David prepared themselves psychologically mentally and physically to report to their respective barracks for training.
David work up early Maggy prepared to break fist David remembered that his mother's signature was required on the military appointment letter he thought how he will make her mother to sign the letter he thought hard he came up with the plan he brought his university letters and placed the military appointment letter at the bottom so that Maggy could sign all without knowing, it was almost time to go he was very anxious he assembled the letters as he had planned her mother was in the sitting room taking her breakfast for her to report to work.
How am I going to convince her I will wait until she has prepared to go to work, when it almost time for her to go to work then, I will give here the letters, and inform her that I forgot that the letters has to signed by the parent, and scanned and send by today" David said to herself.
It was time for her to go to work.
"David see you when I am back at work" Maggy said.
"Please sign for me this university papers hurry, I need to scan and send them to the university before the end of the day" David said.
Her mother signed hurriedly since she was almost late to go to school and signed all without her knowing that he as signed the military appointment letter and rushed.
"I am done I am now good to go" David said to himself.
He hurried to avoid Silvia so that Silvia cannot break the secret to Maggy, he reached at the stadium he found other recruits already reported.
Robin was in a dip sleep Sandy busy preparing the breakfast she hurriedly prepared because the time was not on his side he served breakfast and placed on the table and rushed to work. The time was rushing Robin woke up he realized that the time was not on his side, he woke up and rushed to shower.
He realized that his mother has already served breakfast he ate as he scan over the appointment letter from the military, he realized that parents signature was required. He thought hard on what to do.
"Can I take to my mother to sign" Robin asked himself.
"No she will discover and I will not join the military and also I will be late time is not on my side" Robin said to himself.
"What am I going to do?" Robin thought..
"I am going to forge the signature" Robin said to himself.
He rushed and removed Sandy's identity card and copied her signature on a piece of paper and practiced five times and finally sighed the letter it was exactly replica of his Forster mother's signature.
He held his bag and ran to the stadium already the military track was there an the recruits were already on board.
"Hurry we are waiting for you!" Major Samuel shouted.
Robin ran to the truck.
"Where is your letter has it been signed if not so you will go back home to be signed and come all the way to Gilgil barracks" major Samuel said.
" It has been signed here it is" Robin said
He board the military truck and they set off the journey to the barracks.
They reached the barracks they were assembled on a straight line for them to be given induction on what was going to transpire in the barracks between the training period.
""First I would like you to be conversant with the barracks major"" Major said.
"Let captain Gilbert and James take you around the barracks" Major general Samuel said.
As they were taken to various places in the barracks Robin encountered a friend.
"I am Robin from Nakuru its its here Nakuru city is around here" Robin said.
"You are very lucky my home is too far from here" Samson said.
They were taken to a place where the choppers are landing they were very happy to see different chopper model Samson yearned to propel the chopper one day.
The instructors took them to their to their hostels and everyone was given a beddings.
"Here are the people who are going to guide you to anyplace you want also remember to call whoever you want to call by tomorrow you are not allowed to call anyone" Joseph said.
"James and Gilbert are your instructors here and also we have field instructors and what is required is your discipline behavior or you will be sent to the detention center" Joseph said.
Joseph Gilbert and James went our of the hostel the recruits started calling their loved ones.
Robin didn't know where to start to tell her mother that he has been recruited into the army.
"I lied to my mother that I am going to the university but I end up here he do not know how am I going to start? Robin asked
That was the most difficult question for Samson.
"I don't know how I will help you but my advice is that call her and tell her the truth" Samson advised him.
Robin thought heard he decided to call her and tell her the truth.
"Remember once you are I'm here you can never be allowed to go out until the the pass out day" Samson warned.
"I you need a phone here it is" Samson said.
He handed over the phone to him.
Robin held the phone wrote her mother's number on the phone and made the most difficult decision in life to call her. The phone rang Sandy picked.
"Mum, I am sorry I lied to you that I was going to go to Kenyatta university but now I am in the Kenyan military college to be trained as a soldier" Robin said.
Sandy was very shocked.
"Why did you make such a decision?" Sandy asked.
"You are a single mother with no one to help university education is very expensive, I decided to join military to study medicine in here" Robin said
"Okay my son I wish you well" Sandy said.
Sandy terminated the call and rushed to Dr Ben to tell him what had happened, she opened the door without knocking Dr Ben was very shocked.
"What is wrong sandy I see you are in trouble you are crying" Dr Ben said.
"Yes my boy has joined the military without asking me and also he said for me not to suffer by paying the university fee" Sandy said crying uncontrollably.
"Dr Ben on hearing that he was very happy.
Your boy has made a wisest decision ever" Dr Ben said.
"Do you know that he is going to receive free medical training for free with the best expertise" Dr said.
"What do you mean?" Sandy asked.
"Your boy is very wise you should thank him for his decision" Dr Ben advised her
You should be very great full and happy you will invest and do other things rather than paying fee for Robin.
Sandy smiled and her emotions were back to normal.
