-The story will now begin and switch to Emi's point of view…-
I blinked again, adjusting to the bright sun that gleaned over my black hair, but I noticed my hair was short, not being able to cover my face as much, and I felt much taller, which was a problem for me. I knew that the game would probably alter my appearance.
I looked around, seeing more male than female players, but quickly ignored it, I decided to look at my avatar through the stats window.
I quickly swiped my finger down, seeing a slightly transparent blue screen pop up, showing all my stats and an image of me that made me realize that the game made me a male avatar.

I was quite pleased that I had the choice to pick my stats and pick my class. It would suck to be a warrior when I always play supports in MMORPGs.
As I looked at my avatar I was kind of jealous I wasn't this handsome in the real world, but another thing caught my attention, It was my droopy elf ears that pointed out to the side instead of up, which was quite cute.
An elf class meant a mage would be a good role, but I was genuinely leaning more towards being a support caster.
It was a thought for another day as I ran around to what was supposed to be the easiest way to get a healing ability.
Due to hours of research, there's a way to get a grace that not many people know about.
Grace's are like passive abilities, although some have to be activated when having a certain amount of health or mana, some even being separate active skills.
One of the graces is extremely good for mages, but even better for supports, as it's the only way to be able to summon elements to help you in combat.
The grace is called "Ador's Stone." It's a Grace that changes one of your eyes to a crystal blue that is constantly shimmering and changing color and gives the person, from what Wikipedia told me.
[Ador's Stone.]
Active Skill: When below 25% Mana you receive Ador's blessing and gain +20 Wisdom and +25 Intelligence for 10 minutes. (Cooldown: 2 hours)
Passive Skill: Gain 75% Mana Regen, and a bonus +25% Relationship with spirits of all elements.
It was truly an amazing grace to have, can I believe there's a 20% chance it can change your class to summoner right then and there.
The thing was you had to look all around the city before the opening event, and I only had 2 minutes after looking at only ⅙ of the beginner's town, where it's located.
Soon my stamina ran out, and now I was down to 20 minutes barely being able to search half the beginner's town, meeting tons of vendors and shops, I quickly realized this place seems more real than ever.
I even met some people who were also looking for Ador's Stone, but It was fine since I had the advantage of having more speed and agility.
But after losing another 10 minutes, I had only searched ⅓ of the beginner's town, and finding good shops to look for when the game finally began, I needed to find Ador's stone, as It was the few Grace's that only one person can have.
It would truly be a shame if I couldn't find it It would be a downfall, as I have wasted so much time not looking at all the monsters and learning their attack patterns.
I want to...no, I need to find this stone and get this amazing Grace that could make a difference in the future when I join a guild or when the game makes a ranked mode.
I was truly excited to be able to learn how this game works and to see what kind of support mage I could create.
But one thing I did want was to be able to use summons, due to their nature to be able to react faster than players, and the new feature that I researched which was telepathy, but that was something that I knew would take a while to master.
As I regained my stamina, I was running around, only having 9 minutes left, I was practically sprinting around the town, trying to notice even the slightest blue shine, for the stone, until I reached a guy who was shopping and he turned to me quickly shouting to catch my attention.
"Hey, black-haired dude!" The guy said as he walked up to me wasting my time, but I couldn't show that I was agitated.
"Do you need something?" I asked as I faked a smile.
"I noticed your gold pouch is slightly larger, do you happen to have extra gold?" He asked as I looked him up and down.
"I don't need the gold for a weapon so here just take some," I said, as I opened the pouch and gave him 10 gold coins leaving me with 25 gold coins.
"I knew you would be helpful!" The guy said smiling, as he pulled out a blue stone from his bag…
This random guy pulled out Ador's stone and hasn't even activated it…
This random guy was able to find the fucking stone while I was running around the whole fucking god damn town…
"Here." He handed me the stone.
"What-" I said before he interrupted me.
"It's just some cool stone I found, I don't know what it's for. It's called "Ador's stone, or something like that, I found it near the entrance to the town." the guy said, before he quickly waved goodbye, his blonde hair and blue eyes being unforgettable, along with his sharp jawline.
As I kept staring at him I saw him purchase a pretty decent sword and shield, along with some armor that would give him the best start.
I guess you could say this was an equal trade, but If I told myself that I would be lying because Ador's stone was extremely better than 10 gold, probably worth 800 gold minimum, and even with that if there was an auction for the stone, it could reach the 10,00 gold mark.
I quickly looked at the stone, tapping it, for a screen to pop up.
[You do not meet the requirements of Ador's Stone…]
"Huh?!"
[Must be level 40 to activate…]
"OH WHAT THE FU-"
DING!
I quickly turned up into the sky, the bells coming from thin air. It was truly mesmerizing how beautiful they sounded, but it gave off a haunting aura that made everyone uneasy.
The sky was still blue, but the clouds were almost moving faster than normal, as the sky quickly became red, and everyone was teleported to the central spawn point.
Everyone soon was looking around, but one thing was off, this wasn't the spawn point I was originally in, It's a completely different one, and there were more people.
Soon a giant screen appeared in the sky, as everyone had to slightly lift their heads.
It was a video of John Harold, the creator of Divine Rift, and the first person to create a full-dive realistic MMORPG, with every since.
"If you are seeing this video, you are now either going to die, or survive…" The video played, as John was glaring from his desk at the camera, his brown hair and fuzzy beard making him seem like more of an otaku than in his interviews.
Those words made everyone even more uneasy as the bells, and soon people started to pay more attention.
"As you can see, Divine Rift doesn't have a log-out button. It's either you die, or beat the final boss on floor 99." John would continue giving his speech about how much Divine Rift meant to him, about how much it hurt to even continue to make this game after his daughter's death until finally, he finished his speech with the last words…
"I'll remind you one more time, If you die in here, you will die in real life, if someone pulls the plug to the headgear nothing will change to its internal battery if they try and turn off the headgear…"
"You will die," John said, before the video cut off, making everyone scream, as they realized they truly couldn't log out of the game through the menu.
Then everyone got a notification of a new item added to their inventory.
[Mirror has been added to your inventory…]
I saw the notification and quickly reacted by pulling out the mirror that was plain and grey trim with a logo of the game company on the back, and as soon as I made eye contact with myself my whole body would light up, and soon many others until a bright light covered the central spawn point.
When the light faded I saw myself in the mirror, with the same body, the same bangs that covered my face, and the same messy black hair that was so long it reached my waist, except for the elf ears.
I couldn't believe it, how could this be possible, how could this even happen, why do I have to look like this again…
Then it was silent, as everyone looked at each other in shock, and all it took was one scream and again everyone was panicking, but I was either thrilled or having a panic attack, because I quickly ran to the forest, pulling out the starter dagger everyone had.
"This can't be happening…"I mumbled, as I ran past all the beginner slimes and ran up to the wolves that were 5 levels ahead.
I dashed, remembering the research I did on all the monsters remembering the wolf's attack pattern…
"Left, Right, Right, Right…"I mumbled as the wolf ran up to me, the attack left just as I predicted but I shifted right, Slicing the wolf by its neck, then thrusting the dagger in the neck as the wolf whimpered in pain, I pushed the dagger deeper, my whole arm in its body, until I finally saw its eyes become lifeless, as blood gushed all over my face and arm.
[You have killed a Wolf…]
[+125 Experience…]
[You have leveled up!]
