Chapter 3: Surviving the Storm

I chewed on the raw flesh of the wolf, as I lay on its body near a tree that I dragged it to...The flesh was disgusting, but I had to save every gold coin I made, and although I'm decreasing the amount of money I gain from selling the wolf body, Ill lose more money spending money on cooked food.

[Your stomach is now full!]

I was glad to see this message, as I put the wolf's body in my inventory, and moved on to my next victim.

As I walked through the forest I realized a few things, critical hits, are based o where you hit, not on how powerful you hit, but the areas are hard to find and hard to search for, but from fighting the wolf, its clear the areas are often the softest, so the neck, and if im right, the butthole is an option…

I met another wolf but this time it was Level 7, so I was quite scared, but I didn't think much since the attack pattern is always the same.

I quickly dashed, almost like a leap, as I quickly saw a notification pop up.

[You have gained the skill Dash…]

I saw this using dash again as I saw my stamina bar go down in a chunk, panicking but calming myself down to be able to handle the wolf, as I was already extremely close to it from using a dash.

The wolf was way faster and my only option was to jump onto it, but I failed, as it cut my leg giving me 3 scars, and causing a bleed effect.

[You are now bleeding!]

[You will lose 2 health every second for 4 seconds…]

"Shit.." I mumbled as one-hit caused me in total to lose 48 health leaving me with almost half my health gone.

Luckily the wolf cant turns fast so I gathered all my stamina to dash as fast as I can grip the dagger forward penetrating it in the ass hole, as my start dagger was covered in a mixture of blood and poop.

The wolf quickly died, but before it would be a lifeless body, it cut my arm so bad It looks like it would fall off…

"HOLY FUCKING HELL YOU FUCKING DOG!" I screamed, causing attention for other animals to scatter and monsters to come near.

I had to escape and I quickly put the dead wolf's body in my inventory, as I watched another wolf come out of the shadows, but I was already running away…

Or that's what I thought, because not only was I covered in blood and dog shit, I was also low on stamina due to this fucking last attack.

The only thing I could say was fuck fuck fuck, fuck John Harold, fuck this game, and fuck this stupid idea I had to try and kill wolves for the experience.

The wolf slowly walked towards me, its fangs out, ready to kill me, but I couldn't die this way I wouldn't let that happen.

I got up walking back, the wolf following, as I glared into its eyes, and I used the last wouldn't distraction I had left.

I dropped both of the wolves I killed body's on the ground making a small walk on the dirt path and walked away, as the wolf would start to eat the body, making me throw up but I had to swallow it because I couldn't waste time.

I had to make as much distance from the wolf and me, and hopefully find a village.

[Warning!]

[You are below 10% health!]

I ignored the message as my vision became blurry, the wound on my arm bleeding out, but slowly clogging up.

I quickly looked in my inventory to find 2 health potions and I immediately smiled from ear to ear with joy chugging the bottles like it was a fresh cold beer.

"Thank you, John Harold," I said out loud, as I quickly started to regain stamina and health, and my wound healing extremely fast as if I was a robot rebuilding myself.

I now had my injuries healed and I was back to 95 health, leaving 5 health lost due to the potions being starter potions and cant heal all the way.

It's when I was finally able to sit down and rest I checked my stat window…

"No wonder I was struggling, I don't even have my stats in…" I giggled slightly, as I knew this entire time that I simply was avoiding the situation, I didn't know what I wanted to be, a healer, mage, support, archer? I couldn't decide, but after some deep thought, I decided to be a support mage.

Preferably a summoner, since an Ideas ever since I even heard the news about the game as a support mage with a summoner class, as summoners can summon multiple spirits, allowing me to be able to heal multiple people with multiple water spirits or buff people with multiple spirits, but first I would have to get a spirit for each element then get the sub-elements.

After some thought, I decided to go with my original plan, as I already have played warriors and archers and mages, and If I'm going to be in this world until I die, I might as well do what I like…

It's scary that I haven't gone into a dark spiral yet, as I imagine people are shutting themselves in houses and inns trying to just survive until someone beats the final boss but…

If I waste my life just sitting in a building, I wouldn't be any different than an NPC, or a lifeless body.

I chuckled, as I just wanted to go home, I didn't want to live like this...I just want to hug my parents...I just want to hug them at least one more time…

Mom, dad...I love you…

I love you so much…

I started to cry, the tears overflowing me, as I didn't even say goodbye because I know I'm going to die, I know I'm never going to survive in this world, and most of all I know my parents would be better without me.

I wiped my tears, looking at the stat window again, seeing the picture of myself in elven form, which was me plopped on with elf ears, but it was still cool to just touch my ears.

As I got up I had already put in my stats points, looking at the window happy with what I picked, and how I made my stats.

After just 2 seconds of editing my stats, I saw 3 notifications.

[You have reached 20 wisdom!]

[You can choose between 6 Skills…]

[Summon Elemental, Magic Missile, Heal, Fireball, Waterball, Manaflow]

Without hesitation I clicked on the box that said "Summon Elemental", As I gained another message from the system, this time being in a faded gold.

[You are now a Low-Tier Summoner!]

[You have gained the Sub-Grace, "The First Summoner"!]

[Due to gaining this legendary title you have gained 30 gold, a Wooden Crystal Staff, and Leather Robe with Leather boots...]

I smiled, as all my worries disappeared, I felt like I had gained all my energy back, as I gained even more gold than I would from the wolves, got a legendary title, and even got to gain a class.

All of a sudden getting my arm almost cut off by a wolf didn't seem like such a problem as I was excited to summon my first elemental.

Then another thought hit me as I started walking to the nearest village already equipping my leather robe and boots.

I could already see a way to be stronger in this world, as I looked at the map every player has, I saw a village only 1 kilometer away.

"I'm going to be the best support in this game…." I said as I took the first step, seeing the storm fall, the clouds clear, and the start of a journey I wouldn't regret...That is what I would like to say, but in this world, the monsters aren't just wolves and slimes, they are also players...The players who kill for the thrill…

The Rusted Graves…
