Complications and Answers

Silver set her Ale down on the table and spoke calmly. "Tora calm down, let her explain herself, alright? Besides, I'm pretty sure I scared the hell out of her already."

Tora took a deep breath and sat back down. "Sorry for that outburst, it's been a long time since I was sent to spawn."

Kora nodded, and both her and Divine sat down at the table.

Silver took a sip of her Ale and motioned for Divine to speak first. She happily obliged.

"Everyone, this is Kora, my sister. She's kind of edgy, and might be a bit off-putting at first, but if you get to know her, she's a good person." She paused for a moment. As everyone took that information bomb in. "Kora, this is Tora, Layla and Silver, though you'll probably never forget her."

Kora was seemingly shy, and spoke politely. "It's nice to meet everyone."

Divine continued. "As for classes, Tora is our tank, I'm a swordsman, Layla is our Archer. That makes you our rogue."

Silver smiled and nodded. "Now that introductions are out of the way... Who hired you to kill us?" As she finished speaking, her eyes went cold and her face hardened.

Kora cleared her throat before speaking. "I'm not sure who it was. I think it was some higher end noble guy. I can't remember his name, but he was sickeningly boyish, and carried a large shield, an obvious tank."

Silver's eyes lit up as she rummaged her mind for information. She spoke matter of factly. "Argent. His name is Argent." She spoke a little bit under her breath, but everyone still heard it. "So the little maggot decided to try and grow fangs." She smiled sadistically before looking back towards Kora. "Thank you."

Tora looked at everyone. "I think we should be kind of careful, who knows if he'll send someone else after us."

Silver nodded. "I'd like you guys to try and stay in groups of two until I've taken care of this. You don't have to, but it's a precaution I'd like to take."

Everyone was in agreement that they should do their best to stay in groups of two. After drinking three more mugs of Ale, Silver headed up to her room, and the group separated.

Lauren removed the Neuro-link from her head and sat up in bed. She thought to herself. 'I think that fallen goddess wanted to meet me either today or tomorrow, either way, she can wait. I need to eat and work a bit on my escape plan. I can't help but feel like the clock is ticking."

After showering, Lauren ordered a nice and juicy rare steak. She ate it and drank some nice aged wine. She began scribbling notes down, habits, patterns, anything she could potentially use. The security was air tight. It was obvious that it would not be easy. She ran through different situations in her head, ranging from a loud and bold escape to a sneaky, hiding through the vents kind. After she had scribbled the stuff down, Lauren hid it under one of the bathroom tiles, the only place without a camera. Lauren began thinking to herself. 'I need more time to formulate a plan, not to mention the game eats up a lot of my time. That's it, the game has a 3:1 time dilation, if I use that, I'll have more than enough time.' Lauren nodded to herself and decided to work on it tomorrow. With a plan in mind, she went to sleep.

A scantily clad Woman with flowing red hair sat at a circular table. "Another round table conference so soon? What could possibly be so important that we have to bring it up right now. It's night time, and I'm hungry."

"Can it, Silvia. I don't want to hear your damn complaining." The man who spoke was the hulking beast known as Gawain.

Silvia chuckled and looked towards the hulking figure shrouded in darkness. "Gawain, Honey, you should get more beauty sleep, it isn't good for your health."

"Yeah yeah, Silvia. Fal, let's get this shit started. You're the one who called for an emergency meeting. Everyone's here, so start this shit."

A handsome man with blonde hair stood up.

"I have noticed some...Issues with our original plan regarding Lauren Solivar. MRA, our number one money maker, is directly affected by her presence. I surveyed a large number of players, and most of them wished to meet her, and some have started playing because she is. It appears that Lauren Solivar has become a celebrity of sorts."

The man sitting at the head of the table spoke first. His silver hair reflecting the moonlight perfectly. "Fal, what are our options then? We cannot let her be. Tell me, what are the numbers exactly, and how much would we lose were she to stop playing?"

Fal nodded. "Sir Arthur, Projected losses are counted at around 40-60%, but it is impossible to tell for certain. As for her status, it comes from her combat videos. They have been soaring through all social media outlets. As for attempting to turn her into a martyr, I think that is advised, and unlikely to work, at best."

The silver haired figure at the head nodded grimly. "Does anyone have any ideas?"

Gawain was about to speak, but shut his mouth when he saw Arthur glaring at him. His eyes were that of a predator, a hybrid.

Sophia thought for awhile, and the table was silent before she spoke. "I have started an experiment, of sorts. To say the least, it is not successful right now, but It's beginning to show progress."

Arthur raised an eyebrow. "What might this project be, then?"

Sophia smiled wide. "Transferring a person's consciousness into data."
