The police arrive to speak to Yoongi and Lori, they go over the last time they saw their son, and all of the details of the nanny who is missing too. They have sent a team to the house to check for the presence of an intruder or a disturbance but Yoongi has already told them he checked the CCTV footage and he saw Ahnjong leave with Yeong in her car around 8:30pm last night. There is no footage of them returning. Lori tells them that leaving at this time of night is highly unusual as Yeong usually goes to bed at 7:30pm and that is his regular routine. I can't believe what is happening here. How can it be possible for both bangtan babies to be missing within 24 hours of each other?
Detective Choi explains what the next steps are in the search for both children and the women believed to be with them. CCTV footage from around Nari's home revealed she had taken a cab somewhere and they were currently tracking the vehicles movements and speaking to the driver. With regards to Ahnjong they will speak to the agency that the Min's hired her through for more personal information in the hopes this could lead to her whereabouts and they are also searching for her car on CCTV cameras. Other than the ongoing enquiries there is not much they can tell us so they advise to sit tight and they will update us all as soon as possible.
I can't help myself and have to blurt out "Detective Choi, I think you need to check to see if there is a connection between Ahnjong and Nari. This is too much of a coincidence and I think they are working together. I know you thought it was unlikely that Nari had planned this, but if she was being fed information by an insider she would have know exactly when we were heading to the hospital and that Lori and Yoongi would leave Yeong to be with us after Jangmi being taken leaving him vulnerable too". He looks at me and nods his head. "I am sorry I didn't look into this yesterday, I think you are right. I will get on that straight away and will return as soon as we have an update for you".
Lori is sitting on the edge of the sofa, white as a sheet. Her eyes are fixed into the corner of the room and she is just rolling her thumbs around each other. She hasn't cried yet, i'm not sure she has processed it all. Yoongi is angry, pacing and looking like he wants to hit someone. Namjoon is trying to settle him but isn't doing a very good job of it. I think we all need to scream.
The rest of the members have taken themselves away as I think they feel utterly useless and really don't know what to say or do to make us feel better. Poor Jin was with Yoongs when they realised his son was missing and really struggled to keep his emotions in check when he got back. Tae had to take him off to calm him down. I think it's all a bit too much for us all.
I move closer to Lori and place my hand on hers and wait for her to look at me, but her focus doesn't move from the corner of the room. Namjoon has poured us all a drink, it's Whiskey I think, I suppose in the hopes of it maybe helping us settle our nerves or worries. It's probably more likely fear. I'm not sure it will help but Yoongi knocks his back in one go, I follow suit but Namjoon sits down opposite me and sips it slowly. Yoongi continues to pace.
"Lori, are you ok?" I ask cautiously. It's a stupid question, of course she is not ok. I know i'm not ok, how is she going to be feeling any better than me? Finally she breaks her stare and looks at me. One tear rolls down her cheek and then her shoulders begin to shudder as the rest of the emotion floods from her eyes. I wrap my arms around her and pull her close to me, my emotions getting me again and I cry too. Both our men look forlorn and damaged by the anguish we are going through. Their natural go to is to solve the problems that are causing us pain, but this time they can't. This time it's just as bad for them as it is us. No amount of money can sort this, Big Hit can't put out a statement clearing it all up or sweeping it under the carpet like they have in the past, the only thing we can do is wait and hope for the best outcome possible.
