Chapter Start
Obito was confused, very, very confused. For one he didn't know how it was possible. There was no conceivable way that Sona's food was actually good, like really food. That's when he realized it was actually because none of the food she cooked were sweets. So she could only cook when the food was normal food, huh. That worked out for the Uchiha since he could avoid long trips to the bathroom.
As Obito ate on the dining table, Sona walked in with a multitude of books in her arms. Obito only raised an eyebrow and watched as she laid them in the table.
Sona decided to finally answer the unsaid question when she turned to him. "These are books I've been reading. I have been trying to find out why the Evil Piece was destroyed before it could even enter your body."
"What did you find?" Obito asked, using chopsticks to play with his food while his attention stayed on Sona.
She sat down with a sigh. "Nothing so far. A case like this hasn't happened before so there's nothing I can search."
"Oh," Obito said neutrally, a little surprise that she sounded so defeated. She must've been looking for a while.
"Obito, I'd like you to be completely honest with me when I ask you this." The serious look on her face told Obito this would be serious. "I know for a fact that you are the man wearing the orange mask with the cloak." She didn't seem deterred when his face remained unchanged. "What my qwquestion really is your powers; what's the source? You are a normal human but something else is powering your body. I can somewhat sense it but I never said anything. Not if I could find out for myself."
"For as long as I was born I could use special abilities. I don't know where their from since I'm an orphan and never knew my parents." Lies mixed in with truths were the Uchiha's speciality and he made it seem even more believable when he clammed up mentioning himself being an orphan. Sona seemed to buy it in his eyes.
"I suppose. I apologize for bringing up bad memories." The Devil recovered quickly back into getting answers. "You're goal; what is it. What do you accomplish by making this peerage of yours, adding that Fallen Angel to it?"
"Peace. Peace for the entire world."
"Peace? You're referring to the three factions correct?"
"I am." Obito nodded. "I know about the Great War from the Fallen Angels. A war were children have to fight in and loved ones losing their lives shouldn't exist. I could ask you why can't the factions come together and live in peace, but that would be rhetorical. And it wouldn't matter. All that matters now are steps forward where peace can be created and all the factions coming together a live in peace."
"How do you plan to accomplish such a goal?" Sona asked, wondering what caused this goal to spur in his mind. "The factions are all stubborn, including us Devils. In what way could you convince them?"
"It isn't about convincing them. I have doubt that would even work. There's no way it would be that simple for that fact that neither faction trust the other and is more than likely to have members who hold long grudges against another group." A shadow fell over the Uchiha's eyes as he looked down at the table beneath them. "My goal is to gather a team from every one of the factions and every race and unite them under a single goal. The only way to get that peace will be to show the each faction a threat they cannot control nor defend against, at least not separately."
Sona's eyes narrowed and her fist clenched into a ball tightly. She was able to keep her demeanor the same despite her body language. "What do you plan to do?"
Obito raised his head and shot her a smirk. "Nothing yet. Nothing at all."

Since the conversation they had at the dining table, the two hadn't spoken, leaving Obito wonder why Sona hadn't kicked him out because of his plans. He didn't wonder for too long as something came up he had to check on.
Donning his Akatsuki attire he appeared outside on top of the branch of a very large tree. To his side was Raynare who had given him this location.
The Uchiha got straight to business. "Raynare, what are we looking at?"
She brought his attention to two female individuals in strange clothing walking into Kuoh Town as they resided on the edge. "Those two, Leader-sama."
"Hmm," they looked quite interesting. "Tell me what you know about them."
"Not much." She answered to his disappointment. "I do know that they carry Holy Swords and that they are both angels."
Angels, huh? Interesting. The Uchiha had already seen the power from both Devils and Fallen Angels so now he would see the power behind the church.
"Raynare, we move in silence. Our only goal for now is to observe." As he said that, swirling distortions appeared around his right eye and he teleported onto another closer perch. Raynare leaped off the tree to follow but she always wondered what that power he always used was.

The two watched as the girls encountered the devils. Obito saw how tense it was between the two groups and watched the spar that took place between them. He saw how strong Xenovia was, gaining his interest as she easily defeated Issei and Kiba.
"Holy swords, explain what they are and what they do Raynare."
She nodded. "Of course sir. Holy Swords are fragments from Heaven that can be used by both a member of the church and us Fallen Angels. Devils have weakness against it and are not able to wield them."
"Hmm, interesting. Anything else?"
"They also have different abilities for each sword but I don't know all of the specifics."
"That's fine. We shall know soon enough." Obito thought back to what he had to do. "It's about time for me to check on Freed. I want you to keep yourself hidden and watch. I want a report when I return."
She nodded but something was still on her mind. "I thought you sent him on a mission."
"I did but I don't trust him not to go to your superiors in order to have me eradicated. I told you before that I'd like to keep my existence off of the map until the first phase of my plan is complete." A distortion appeared around his eye and seconds later he was gone.

Obito appeared on a tree overlooking a building. He could feel that something inside was powerful and, instead of scaring him he almost chuckled.
So this is the place that little rat scurried off to. Hmph, fool. Didn't he understand that I was using him for this very purpose?
Obito leaped off the tree and slowly made his way to the building but stopped when he felt a presence near him. He glanced around before looking up slowly to see a demon looking man with 6 black wings on each side of his back behind him. He looked at Obito like he was a bug to be squashed.
So this is their leader, huh. I'm not impressed.
"Like my trap you masked freak!" Freed yelled stepping out of the shadows to give Obito a grin.
Obito looked over towards him. "I might have not told you but the Akatsuki doesn't stand traitors. You will be repaying me with death."
"You should worry about what's behind you!" Kokabiel yelled, appearing behind the Uchiha aiming a spear of light that would slice off his head only for it to go through him as if he wasn't there at all. "W-what the-"
"Hmm, how disappointing." Obito chuckled, spinning around and slamming a foot into his abdomen. Kokabiel skidded back across the ground but managed to stay on his feet.
"What?! Now way!" Freed yelled in utter disbelief.
"Oh, I didn't expect an actual challenge!" Kokabiel yelled, the air around him changing as he began to unleash more of his latent strength. Thunder boomed through the area and clouds began darkening as rain began to start falling to the ground, getting faster and faster.
Kokabiel raced forward a large spear of light appearing in his hand only for him to go through the Uchiha again. Confusion ran through the Fallen Angel but he couldn't even think before a foot smashed into his back, sending him into a far away tree.
Bullets rang from behind the Uchiha but they only went through him. He turned to see that it had been freed who had attempted to kill him. He cocked his head and turned his entire body intangible, surprising the exorcist as he slipped through the ground.
Kokabiel leaped out of the rubble and looked for his opponent only to find an empty clearing. Angrily, he turned to Freed. "Where is he?!"
"He went into the grou-" he was stopped just short of finishing when Obito had slipped from underneath the ground and grabbed his throat before lifting him up with one arm.
"The Akatsuki don't do traitors." He said simply, tightening his grip on the exorcist's throat causing gurgling sounds to escape out. Freed thrashed about but nothing could loosen Obito's grip. Obito could feel the life slowly draining from the crazed man but thought nothing of it. Though, before he could finish the job, he looked up to see a multitude of light spears flying at him.
With practiced ease, he activated Kamui and the attacks slipped through him seamlessly and smashed hard into the ground. A dust flew into the air, the Uchiha leaped from the smoke with Freed still locked into his grip. Seems had involuntary saved the psychopath.
Sensing more projectiles as he soared above the ground, he decided he wouldn't be on the defensive anymore. He threw the Exorcist to the ground and activated Kamui once more, letting the attacks slip through him. He turned behind him to see a angry looking fallen angel speeding at him.
The look didn't deter the Uchiha, who had performed handsigns before the Fallen Angel could catch up with him.
"Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!" Large hot flames shot from the Uchiha but failed to hit the Fallen Angel fully. Black, hardened wings covered the man from the full brunt of the damage but it had caused him to smash into the ground.
At the same time, Obito landed softly meters away. "I'm done playing your games. Are you the leader of the Fallen Angels?"
Heavy air pushed back the smoke obscuring Kokabiel. He had used his wings to push back the smoke. "Leader of us? What are you looking for that for?"
"Peace." The Masked Shinobi stated simply.
The supernatural being began chuckling before laughing fully outright as Obito only stared.
"Peace?! Peace?! Are you mad?! There can never be peace! War is the only way of living. I will show just how much stronger the Fallen Angels are by crushing all of the other Factions!" Kokabiel rambled off. War was all he wanted. Peace was nothing more than rubbish to the man.
"I can already tell that there will be no changing your mind. I can tell that you only love to terrorize and kill and no amount will ever be enough for you." Cold, dark aura swept through the area, quickly suffocating the Fallen Angel who's face had gone cold and pale. His body stiffened and he felt like he couldn't even move.
All Obito felt was anger.
He gripped the top half of his mask off to reveal his left Mangekyo Sharingan. Rain stopped falling on the Uchiha when a light blue aura flared up all around him. It began to shape as Obito slowly walked forward.
"No pain, no sympathy, no wisdom, and no peace. You offer this world only despair and I shall erase you without question."
The ground cackled and broke beneath the Uchiha as a rib cage formed around him. Soon after arms, a spine, and a skeletal head formed before skin wrapped the Susano'o.
Obito had finally reached him and gripped him by the throat. "You only wish for death and war. However I will not kill you just yet. I want you to go through with your original plan on killing those Devils." His Susano'o gave a wicked grin, further paralyzing the Fallen Angel.
Despite what he wanted to do Obito knew what was needed. For him to kill Kokabiel, Issei would gain the strength nor the knowledge to help the world gain peace. Obito knew that regardless of what he did he would always be a step behind reaching that peace. He needed a Naruto to lead the world to peace and he truly believed that would be Issei. But he was weak right now and needed trials and tribulations to face for him to grow and understand the world around him. All the while Obito would be his shadow protecting him from the shadows.
The shadow of peace.
Freed coughed violently, trying desperately to regain his breath. Not only was it because of Obito's earlier actions but because of the pressure he was now letting off. It was more than frightening, it was like death itself. He could only watch frozen and listen to the cold words that frosted the air itself.
Kokabiel's eyes slowly morphed into Sharingan, falling victim to the Genjutsu. "Your task is to go all out against Issei. Do all you can to kill him."
The order was clear and Obito released his newest pawn and his Susano'o began to fade away as he walked slowly over to Freed. He gripped him by the hair and rose him face to face, eyes to eyes. The fear the Exorcist showed only made the Uchiha grin.
"I only used you to get to your leader. I knew you would never follow my rule. I'm honestly surprised that you thought I'd let you move on your own."
Freed could only stare with frightened eyes. "B-but how did you k-know about... him?"
"Hmph, simple. I read your memories. I don't do anything unless I fully know what I'm getting myself in to." Obito gripped his hair tighter and Freed groaned in pain. "You've outlived your usefulness. Time to die." Without warning a large metal stake was ejected from the Uchiha's right eye and impaled the man through the face, killing him instantly.
Obito let his body crumble to the ground and turned to give a nod to his new puppet, Kokabiel who flew off into the distance instantly.
A distortion appeared around the Uchiha shortly after. "Hmm, everything is going as planned."
With those last words, he was gone.
