Chapter 6

"It seems your plan worked, Leader-sama."

Two sets of heavy footsteps walked into a damp cave, the sun shining through the opening which gave them ample lighting in which they could see.

Inside of the cave was a table with scattered notes on top of it and other basic necessities. It was underwhelming at best but it would do for now. Obito was much more worried about practicalities than what it would look like. Raynare had disagreed with him on that front but his decisions were always final and she never since then complained.

"My plans always work, Raynare." Obito sat down in his chair and pushed himself until he was at his desk. He slipped off his mask, feeling his skin cool from the furnace that was the inside of his mask. He never reacted much to it but he was always annoyed when he wore any of his mask for too long and heat began to get trapped inside.

He ignored the sweat on his face and began filing through his notes. Inside them were information he had so far on the Factions as well as any other extra ordinary powers he had seen so far. This was his way to carefully plan out his next move with the best information he had on hand. He already made sure his plan was both full proof and accounted for every variable with all the information he had.

His train of thought stopped when a cool towel dabbed his forehead. He looked up to see a red faced Raynare looking away from him.

"You looked a little sweaty. Here." She held out the towel for him and he took it with a grateful nod.

He wiped his face as he read through his notes. He had wondered just how long the battle between those Factions would be. He had a Shadow Clone stationed in the shadows that would report everything that happened in the battle. From abilities to the words that they spoke. All information he could gather at this point was an absolute necessity and he was glad he had so much chakra to spare for this purpose. He had his own plan to work with anyway.

"Can I ask you something?" Raynare said suddenly.

"What is it?"

The light in her eyes seemed to dim slightly. "Why do you want to make this world a better place so badly? I can tell... that this isn't just for the sake of everyone."

"Your point?"

"Your past. What happened to you? Why are you so distant and cold? At times you can be warm and even smile but even then there's a sadness and loneliness in your eyes that I can't even describe." She blurted out.

Obito closed his eyes, letting his body rile down. He was better than his childish self. He needed to keep calm. When he opened then back again, he spoke. "I wonder why you care so much. The Raynare I know doesn't give a damn about anyone but herself."

She looked down. "Maybe I give a damn about you." She muttered and Obito felt his heart drop. He turned to her and stared, unsure if he heard correctly. "You taught me that superiority and pride were foolish. Not only foolish personally but also in this war that's going on. Since I was little all I was taught was to hate those Devils and Angels; and that we Fallen were the best and had the right to conquer them. I wanted to impress my superiors and show them I was something. I wanted to be a factor. But I always thought about one thing that I had kept suppressed for so long. What am I really fighting for? Why am I doing this? Why did we start waging war in the first place? What's my purpose?"

Obito saw something wet but the ground in front of her and his eyes widened. She was crying. She lifted her head and he could finally see her reddened face and puffed up eyes.

"You gave me that purpose. You pushed the thoughts I had suppressed for so long to the front of my mind and made me think. So now... I wanna help you. You can talk to me."

For a moment, Obito actually considered this. Maybe he wanted to connect with someone and he no doubt needed it but it wasn't what he had been brought here to do. But maybe he could—

A rush of memories came to his mind and he saw how the entire fight had played out. When all the memories passed him he finally came back to the real world where Raynare still stood before him; tears still coming down her face. He reached for his mask and stood to his feet.

He slipped it on without a sound. "Come. We need to go. We don't have much time." She looked at his outstretched hand then at him before grabbing it and he activated his Mangekyō Sharingan.

Moments later, the cave was empty.

XxX

Issei was confused and also very tired as he looked up with starstruck eyes. Even with his skill, he could feel the power radiating from the White Dragon. The dragon turned to him.

"I know you're awake. I feel your presence, my rival."

"Hmph, what are you here for?"

"Huh," Issei muttered looking down at his hand covered in the dragon armor.

"Don't worry. I'm not here to fight for your host is not strong enough to contend with us. Not yet."

Their conversation was cut short when a distortion appeared in between them and soon out came Obito and Raynare.

Rias was the first to react. "Hey! What are you doing here?!" She seemed to be looking at Raynare more than him but he had barely took it into consideration and barely spared her a glance.

"You are the White Dragon, correct? What's your buisness with Issei here?" Obito asked, looking only at him and for the first time he felt a bit warmer around his face. He could feel that this man was on a completely different level than anything he had come by so far.

"Who are you to question me?"

"You need to leave!" Kiba demanded.

"Who is he?" Irina asked with a rather intense gaze. Even Xenovia paused and stared as if in a trance. She could feel the power that was coming off him in waves.

Obito only cocked his head a bit. "I asked you a question. You could be a threat for all I know."

"And who are you to know anything, mortal. Know your place."

Despite himself, Obito was beginning to grow increasingly angry and annoyed and the fact he couldn't see a visible reaction from the dragon was making his approach a bit more than awkward. He always used someone's expression to manipulate their response but with a full face covered that was hard as his voice was entirely too deep to know what he was feeling.

Obito's Sharingan eye had widened when the White Dragon was suddenly right in front of his face. The Tomoe began to spin rapidly and formed into his Mangekyō Sharingan and the dragon's hand slipped through his face.

Surprised, Raynare eyes had just began to track the dragon just before it collided with the ground hard enough to blow everyone else but Obito away. They all grunted as the landed on the ground and just then Sona and her peerage had chosen that time to come.

"What's going on?!" Sona demanded, she and her peerage landing on the ground.

"Master-Sama!" Raynare cried, looking desperately at the cloud of smoke that began to rise into the sky. She scrunched her eyes and was able to pick out two silhouettes into the smoke and the more it rose she saw more of them until she could see them clearly.

"H-he's not hurt?" Rias muttered in shock. She was positive that she couldn't track his speed and even if she could she wouldn't be able to take a hit from him.

He's fast! He felt the dragon get to his feet and they were nearly back to back before his face broke out into a grin and he slightly leaned back with glee. "I guess I'll play with you for a bit."

The dragon's arm lashed out and slipped through Obito's head before he grabbed it and twisted. He planted his leg on the ground harshly, cracking it before twisting his body and using his other leg to trip the White Dragon. Obito couldn't capitalize on the position his opponent was in because the man was simply too strong, he actually grabbed Obito and flung him away as if he was made of paper but Obito recovered mid air and landed on his feet safely a couple of meters away.

Impressive. He's able to keep up with me. Obito had finally meet some kind of challenge from this world and it seemed that the man wasn't done yet as he flew up into the air, blue winds extending outward. Obito focused his Sharingan. He would observe real power.

"No way." Sona muttered. "He can actually fight Vali Lucifer."

"Who is that guy?" Issei asked. "I can't even track them." He looked back at the flowing black cloak. That had been the guy that had saved him from dying to Raynare. And speaking of her, he wondered if she had joined him. He saw their clothing and thought so.

"What should we do, Rias?" Akeno asked, not knowing what else to say.

"There's nothing we can do right now but watch." Her eyes landed on Obito with a certain glint. "It's all we can do right now."

"So," Obito started confidently, raising his arm casually. "I want to ask you a question. What's your stance on the Three Factions? What I do to you will depend on your answer so choose your words carefully."

"You dare insult me. I am Vali Lucifer, a descendant of the original Lucifer. Don't get cocky."

Obito cocked his head to the side mockingly and move only put anger in Vali's heart. "Oh, the original Lucifer you say? Hmm, could you tell me more about him? I'd sure love to get to know him. It would certainly beat talking to his halfling."

"Allow me to show you my true power then." Dark energy flowed out of him and the ground began to break and fall apart from the pressure of his energy alone. "Half Dimension!"

'Kamui!'

Obito immediately activate his Jutsu, not knowing the effects the attack would have on him and not willing to find out. Because of that he slipped through the ground.

"I missed again! Where did he-"

"I'm right here." Behind him, Obito slammed a foot into his back and the Dragon was sent flying through the air, finally slamming into a large formation of earth.

"Is he teleporting?!" Xenovia found herself asking.

Obito landed several meters away from his opponent. "Will you tell me your answer now? Regardless of what you do, I am untouchable. I'd concede if I were in your position. This will only bring you pain when I break you in half."

Vali took long, deep breaths to regain control over his breathing. He wondered just how the man was this strong physically when he had no demonic energy charging his body. He questioned if what was happening was real. He began to get to his feet and Obito saw that when the smoke cleared out and sighed.

"I can tell that I haven't broken your spirit enough to get the answers that I want."

"Stop fighting, Obito! That is enough!" Sona yelled loudly. Obito turned to her and saw her devilish wings flowing behind her as she hovered over the air.

She can fly, huh.

"I've already told you my goals, Sona. There's no reason to stop me if you know of my plans."

"But your fighting a descendant of the original Lucifer!" She yelled. "Why?!

His hand formed into a tight fist. "To simply test my power. I won't kill him if that's what you think. My intent is only to make sure I have enough power to have my goals realized."

He watched her back off slightly. She probably believed him. He never lied when he spoke about anything.

"To test your power?!" With a show of strength, the White Dragon bursted from the rubble and his power increased even more. "I'll bring you in. Your nothing but a danger to be left to your own devices."

Obito stared. Was this man a fool? Couldn't he tell that Obito hadn't even been trying all that much?

He flew in the air and raced at Obito but this time Obito could react to him a little better thanks to his Sharingan having seen the speed before. Once again, Obito let the man slip through him and he smashed into the ground with such force that it caved nearly 4 miles under the weight of his strike.

Oh, so that's how his power works. He needs to be able to hit me. That was how he defeated Kokabiel so easily. Interesting. He mused, feeling the dragon turn and try to attack him again.

Obito activated Kamui and the arm slips though his body. Obito could sense the growing frustration from his opponent before he slipped into the ground before Vali even had the chance to turn around.

"How the hell is he so fast?!" He cried out in frustration. "I can't even touch him!"

"I had no idea he was so strong." Sona marveled as Obito slipped out of the ground a few dozen meters away from the dragon. To think someone who could out speed someone who could go as fast as light was sitting in her school frightened her. He could've killed all of us at any time he wanted. What's holding him back? She now felt compelled to get down his philosophy.

"Wow, he's kinda awesome." Issei muttered.

"That isn't awesome, Issei!" Rias yelled at him, causing him to sputter in surprise. She turned to Raynare. "Get him to stop! Or this will end badly for someone!"

"There's no need." Each eyes turned to see Obito standing behind them with a hand on Raynare's shoulder.

Rias looked back to where Vali was and saw that he was still over there as well, staring the dragon down. He had magic too and he could split himself into multiple images! What couldn't he do!

She turned back to the Obito closest to them just as a vortex sucked up Raynare and she could finally see that he was using his eyes to do so. But what was making them so special.

The clone was gone soon after and everyone's attention was back on the real Obito. He leapt back until he was somewhere where he could overlook all of the supernatural beings at once.

He feels himself sigh for some reason and takes a glance at the destroyed landscape caused by his battle. A necessary step and no one died so it was good in his opinion. As he sat on the tall rock, he hunched forward and leaned on his fist, giving off the vibe of laziness.

"No that we're done fighting, I'm sure some of you have questions about me. Some I'll be willing to answer, but others you can ask away."

"What are you talking about?! Do you think this is some sort of game?!" The White Dragon yells in anger. Obito could see that the man was be ready to lunge at him.

"You know we could fight again or you can get some of your questions answered." Obito says in a bored tone. "You don't want to know why a human rivals a god such as yourself. I'm sure that's the reason you all are so mad."

"Fufufu," Akeno chuckles over a covered mouth. "I had no idea Obito-kun was such a tease. You don't plan to tell us that, do you? You're simply using that as bait to get us divulge in your little game. So you can receive information as well, right?"

Obito blinks at first, then he just laughs. For some reason, her figuring out his intentions is just hilarious to him. He stands up, and just to give them a scare, he stops laughing all of a sudden. Through his mask, his Sharingan pierces Akeno's eyes and he draws her into a Genjutsu with ease.

Their in a white landscape, floating and staring at one another. It was when Akeno's eyes widen and she tries to speak but nothing comes out of her open mouth. She looks scared and tries to move away from him but can't. This was his Genjutsu, his world, and she would abide by his law.

"I can see why you didn't fall for my ruse." He says, voice coming out godly, all high mighty and in an echo. He smirks beneath his mask. "You too wear a mask." He breaks the Genjutsu right after and they both return to the normal world, but Akeno falls on the ground face first and out cold and her team gasp all around her.

As they see about her, Obito disappears into his Kamui dimension and they last thing any of them see is the deep red of his glowering Sharingan.
