18. Darkness reign

Aren't you afraid?" Faye asked before taking a threatening step forward.

"I can handle a Witch," Lora smirked.

"Let's see," Faye said with a sinister looked. As a very large fire danced around Lora, a feeling of anguish so great that it threatened to engulf her.

"Do you want to try it again? Cause I didn't quite buy it, did you?" Faye asked as the flames grew.

"That's what I thought," Faye stated as Lora began choking on smoke.

Faye turned on her heels when Lora spoke, "Wait!"

"What?" Faye answered with her back turned.

"Aren't you curious about who I am?"

"No." Came Faye short replied as she vanished into thin air, leaving Lora to stare in shock.

Jackson was fuming with rage as he punched his first through the mahogany office desk.

He wanted the girl.

He needed her powers.

He had sent two vampires to Kira's  house but there was no sign of her, only Rebecca. Jackson had given them instruction to compelled her to found the whereabouts of Kira. But they returned empty handed.

"Where could she be?" Jackson growled as everyone shuddered in fear.

No one dared to voice his or her thoughts. Knowing fully well that Jackson would snapped their neck in an instance.

"Mr. Warchild," one of the maids stood outside the door, "Jason is here."

"Welcome him and give him something to eat and drink while I come down."

"Yes, sir." She bowed and left.

When Jackson entered the living room Jason was already severed tea and sweets. But he stood by the window with his arms fold behind him.

"Jason, what a surprise," Jackson spoke as he approached Jason.

"Jennifer is dead," Jason spoke, his voice void of all emotions.

"So I've heard," Jackson said in a dead voice.

"Yet you don't sound remorseful?" Jason directed his stare to Jackson.

"Let's be frank," Jackson stated, "I wasn't very fond of your sister and neither was she."

Jason only stared at Jackson with a blank looked before he averted his gaze. "What did you hear?"

"A Witch and a Warlock was the one who attacked your sister."

"Who sent them?" Jason inquired with clenched fist.

"That is all I know," Jackson answered before standing to his feet. "I heard that Jennifer didn't go down without slaughtering her enemies."

"When I find the perpetrators who had conspired against my sister I will reign darkness." His tone was low yet threatening.

"I'm sure the punishment will fit the crime." Jackson spoke his expression never wavered.

"I'll take my leave, I have business to attend to," Jason said just before he turned on his heels.

Only to stopped in his tracks. "I heard your looking for a girl," before he continued to the door. Leaving Jackson to wondered if he might know something.

Wasting no time Jackson called for Mike. One of his loyal vampire and instructed him to followed Jason. But when he had gotten outside there wasn't any sign of Jason, it was like he had been whisked away by the wind.

The first thing Kira saw when she opened her eye was the dark ceiling. And the broken, dusty chandelier that fall from it. It was covered in spider webs as if it hadn't been used for ages.

Kira sat up slowly; her movements causing the bed to make a creaking sound. Her eyes seached the dimly lit room she was in. It looked gloomy and uninviting. The furniture was old and dusty, and looked as if it would collapse anytime soon. Mold ate at the damp freckled walls and floor. Where was she?

Suddenly pain shot down het neck, and she reached for it only to feel wetness on her fingers.

Blood.

Gradually, her memories came back to her.

The horror she had experienced had not been a nightmare, it had all happened.

The door made a creaking sound as it opened, and Jason stepped inside. The world went still for a moment as Kira laid eyes him.

"I see you are awake," Jason  said moving towards her with a leopard-like grace.

Kira only looked at him, trying figure out how all of this happened.

"Oh, are you mad because I bit you?" Jason asked when she didn't reply. "Torture is not my thing, but you forced me into it."  The irony in his tone was clear.

"What are you?" Kia asked.

Jason took a step towards Kira until he was standing directly before her. He lifted her chin so she was staring into his eyes before he whispered, "Your worst nightmare." His eyes changed into blood red ones and his fangs elongated.

"Y-You v-vamp..." Kira stuttered as she back away.

"Vampire." Jason grinned, amusement visible on his face.

"W-what d-do you want from me?" Kira whispered as tears pricked her eyes.

"In time you will know." Jason mumbled.

Kira wouldn't figure out what plans Jason had for her, but the look in his eyes told her he found his plans amusing.

And what was amusing to him was a nightmare to other people.

"But I had done nothing to you,"  Kira said.

Jason only arch an brow as he stared at her with contempt. He stepped closer to the bed, closer to her, still watching her with interest. It made her uncomfortable. Why was he looking at her like that?

Slowly, he reached for her face.  Kira flinched back, but Jason grabbed a strand of her hair.

Without thinking, Kira slapped his hand away. "Don't touch me!"

Grabbing her hair harshly he pulled her head back, forcing her to look up at him. Then he brought his face close to hers. "I'll touch you whenever I want and you should be thankful if that is the only thing I end up doing." His tone was low yet threatening.

Kira grimace in pain as he pulled her hair harder, causing tears to prickled at the corner of her eyes.

"I believe that secrets are a poison that need to be spat out." He mumbled, looking into her eyes. Then he slowly released her before leaving the room with a satisfied look on his face.
