Tease Her More

Blaire tried to distract herself to avoid thinking about what she learned from Leah.

She was currently on the top floor, eating her lunch together with Kendra’s twins since they requested for her to eat with them.

“Look at my plate! No food left, Blaire!”

Emma was showing her plate to Blaire. She finished the food that their nanny prepared and was proud to present that she finished earlier than Josh. The latter pouted as he followed Emma.

Blaire immediately gave praises to Emma while she encouraged Josh to finish his food so they could play afterward.

They played for an hour until their nanny announced that they should sleep while Blaire would return to her work.

Since she doesn’t have anything to do upon returning to the 8th floor, Blaire stayed on the balcony of the floor to have a clear view of the city she’s currently living in. A thought crossed her mind while she was enjoying the view; a reminder from Brenda that she must let her parents know about her current state so they wouldn’t have to worry much about her.

She was busy composing what to say in her mind when she received a notification from her smartwatch that Axel is requesting a housekeeping service.

“He’s here already? I thought he won’t return until later in the evening,” she muttered.

As she glanced at her watch, she also realized that she’s been on the balcony for hours, admiring the beauty of the city while mentally composing her letter.

“Housekeeping service,” Blaire announced after she knocked on Axel’s door. When no one responded, she slowly opened the door and entered the unit.

She was carefully closing the door when suddenly,

“You’re three minutes late, Blaire.”

Blaire tried her best not to shiver upon hearing his voice close to her ear but Axel saw how her shoulder shuddered, giving him a smirk. ‘I did it again!’ he said so himself.

Axel then leaned on the wall beside his door and crossed his arms while looking at Blaire who was fixed on her position, neither blinking nor breathing. It’s as if she malfunction when she realized that Axel was leaning on her close and whispered in her ear.

“You okay? You looked like a statue there,” he asked. He was worried since he thought that he might give her a heart attack.

Blaire then started blinking numerous times and began breathing hard. She didn’t realize that she was holding her breath for a while. She then looked at Axel for a split second before bowing her head.

“I was on the balcony, sir,” she said.

Axel frowned. She didn’t even stare at him for seconds when she realized that he’s not wearing anything on his upper torso. He thought that she’d stare at him since he always hears that he looked sexy when he leaned while crossing his arms.

“I’m going out, prepare my clothes,” he demanded.

Since he couldn’t get her to stare at him willingly, he will force her to look at him. He decided that she will be the one choosing his outfit for a formal dinner with his business partners.

Blaire stared at him wide-eyed as he started walking towards his room, gesturing for her to follow. It’s been so long since she chose an outfit for someone. Before, she always chose the outfits of her brother whenever he had somewhere to go to.

“Could… could you tell me sir what kind of event are you attending? So I could choose appropriate clothes for you,” Blaire said when Axel showed her his closet.

“Formal dinner with my business partners,” he answered simply. He observed Blaire as she tried to mix and match the clothes and he couldn’t help himself from being impressed. Her chosen outfit matched his persona well. He also demanded her to be the one who will wear the clothes to him.

Blaire blushed but followed afterward. Axel was once again satisfied upon seeing her blush, and a thought popped in his head.

Before leaving the unit, he advised her not to leave the room and prepare dinner for both of them.

Blaire was left dumbfounded.

----------

It’s almost 9 when Axel arrived, and he saw Blaire patiently waiting at the dining area so he handed the bag he was holding. He brought a gift while he was on his way for his appreciation to Blaire’s service. This made her smile genuinely at him, which shocked him.

Then they ate silently. Of course, he still demanded that Blaire would be the one feeding her. He was actually starving since he didn’t eat that much during their formal dinner. He knew Blaire was preparing dinner so he was looking forward to her prepared meal that he was unable to enjoy the meal that the restaurant prepared for them and thought their meals tasted bland.

“I’ll be leaving this inn tomorrow three hours before noon, and I want you to be the one packing my things,” Axel said as soon as he finished eating. “And of course, you’ll choose my outfit once again so you better be here early morning,” he added.

Blaire stared at him for a while before nodding in response. “Noted, sir,” she added.

Then, Axel noticed a book resting at the kitchen counter as he was looking at Blaire.

“You read books?” he asked. Blaire looked at him, but he was looking past her so she looked at where he was looking.

‘Oh, crap! I forgot to keep the book!’ she thought.

She gave a shy smile when she looked at Axel who is now looking at her. “Yes, sir. I read books whenever I want to kill my boredom,” she said.

“I see. Anyway if you don’t mind, clean the table. I’ll just meet someone outside,” he said as he stood from his seat.

The sun is still yet to rise but Blaire is already preparing her cleaning cart to start her housekeeping duty. As soon as she reached Axel’s unit, she started preparing his meal while he proceeded to shower.

He wanted his food to be a heavy meal since he will be boarding the plane right after he checks out in this inn.

She was in the midst of cooking when Axel called her. He had just finished showering.

“Call me when you finished cooking. I’ll start packing my things. I won’t pack my clothes yet so you could choose some nice clothes for me. Got that?”

“Yes, sir.”

Half an hour passed when Blaire finished cooking so she served the food immediately and notified Axel in his room. She then proceeded to his closet so she could choose clothes. Since most of Axel’s clothes are formal attires, she chose the lightest pair of clothes she could see, and luckily, she found khaki shorts so she picked a white long-sleeved polo to match the outfit.

She gave him the clothes but he insisted that she should assist him. Blaire wasn’t stunned anymore by his statement since she had guessed that he will tell her that. She also wanted to help since she plans on folding his sleeves up to his elbow so he would really look casual on his outfit.

She then started packing all the clothes in his closet into his suitcase, and she’s about to close the suitcase when she was called by Axel.

“Yes sir?” she answered.

Axel handed her a paper bag and a small card.

“You forgot to bring the gift I gave you last night so I just added some more additional gifts for you. You’re lucky to meet me since I am the owner of the biggest bookstore in this city, so in case you need to purchase some books, just show this card and they will immediately give you the book without paying,” he said.

For the first time, he saw her eyes twinkled upon hearing him. ‘She must love reading,’ he said to himself.

Blaire bowed her head to thank him.

“It’s nothing compared to the efficiency of your service. However, I have a condition for you,” he said which made Blaire widen her eyes. He felt nostalgic seeing her widened eyes and he enjoyed seeing them very much.

“Every time that I am here in this city, you will be my personal assistant, whether I am at this inn or not. You’ll just do what you did these past days during my stay. Of course, you’ll get paid for your service. Got that?”

Blaire smiled. “Yes, sir! Thank you so much!”
