Chapter 36—Demetri's devilry

Demetri hand down the newspaper on the table to show her what was written on it. She read the headline. That’s about the big announcement between the two big personalities for their upcoming wedding. Yuri's glee must have reached the skies that she completely eliminated her existence from the Gritson. But, Yuri's downfall will soon enough to come. She will make sure that her bad karma is soon enough to appear, in the right place at a right time.

She would do anything to write her name on Yuri's mind. In the name of her beloved mother Lilia, she's Lilian the woman who will destroy Yuri's opposition.

Demetri sat down next to her.

" You should get married," Demetri acknowledged. She was surprised at what he advised. He seriously persuaded it.

" B-But why? I d-don't want to marry Wyndell just because he begged me to marry him," she hesitated.

" No—not Wyndell," he reprimanded. She was confused.

" W-With who?" she queried. She stared at him in his sights.

" Aduke," he shortly replied. She was dumbfounded.

Is he insane!

" W-What did you say?" Maybe, she heard wrong.

" Marrying Aduke Mondragon is part of your option. But, If I were you...I let myself choose the boss rather than his accomplice," he cunningly stated.

She gaped at his young intimidating looks. What kind of foolish ideas entered Demetri’s brain and made her want to marry Aduke?

" Why should I need to marry him?" She sternly questioned.

What was he's going to conform to?

"As I said to you earlier, he's powerful than the Gritson and Bache. If you let him fall in love with you and make him your husband, you will rule his kingdom. You already have someone to lean on that you can use to get your children. Isn't my plan good? "he cleverly expressed.

She didn’t like his plan. It's too dangerous in getting involved with Aduke's life. She's going to use his state and status for her own good? What a bad idea! And another reason, she has no intention of marrying a man who looks like her father.

" Is there another option?" She pleased.

" Lilian, I know that you and Daniel are planning something that can destroy my reputation. Right now, I don't know what you two are planning, but, I'm not a stupid and brainless man. So I'm giving you a definite choice so you won't have any more trouble. I just want to help you, "he proceeded with a devil smile.

" What if I don't agree with your plan?" she asked for possibility. Demetri smiled spontaneously.

" You won't like the result of my fury," he deadly answered. She swallowed her anxiety. She knew that Demetri was different. He's kind with some return benefits and he's a psychopath if you countered his preposition.

As far as she knew, Demetri was only using her in her evil plans. But, she's willing to gamble just to get her daughters and after that, she's going to escape under Demetri's manipulating supervision.

A ringtone interrupted their conversation. She knows it was Daniel calling her.

" Excuse me, I should need to answer this call", she excused to Demetri. Demetri permitted her to talk to his caller in private.

" Daniel? What's going on?"

[ Lilian, sorry for the hitch. I had bad news. Lotus was kidnapped by someone else. And we can't track the van who abducted your daughter ] Daniel explained. Her world trembles in shock.

Who else intends to abduct her child?

" What should we do, D-Daniel?" she muttered.

[ I don't know. Maybe, you should try to ask Demetri about the abduction. Maybe, he's involved.] He suspiciously instructed.

She let out an unfortunate sigh.

" Okay. Damn it," she whispered and dropped the call.

She pulled up her guts to face Demetri. She decided to go back and pause to make sure that she can confront Demetri. He was resting on the sofa, soberly sipping his coffee while wearing his demigod aura. He paused a bit before he glanced at her.

" Where's my daughter?" She dauntlessly asked.

He paused for a moment then frowned.

" Why are you asking me about your daughter?" He unconsciously questioned.

" Someone abducted my daughter," she answered.

" And then? You thought that I kidnapped your child?" he calmly defended.

" Demetri, stop acting like you did nothing! I knew that you already notice my plan and then you preceded to ruin it!" He just loosen up his grin.

" Daniel pursue you to ask me, right? But, you're wrong...I had no idea about your plan. But, wind change in a jiffy—you opened up your plan to me and that was called idiocy," he began.

" Plan A, you're going to kidnap Lotus on her recital day and after that, you will next abduct Rosé on her upcoming birthday which occurs after the date of Lotus recital. What about plan B? Let me guess first..." he cleverly stated.

" Uh-huh! Got it! You will take them away, flight abroad, and live there..." Lilian considerably stared at him.

" But that kind of plan is called idiocy Lilian! Don't you think about the possibility of losing your child forever? William is an influential personality, he can hook you using his tentacles even you're using all of your power to flee. If you will go what plan that I ordered you, you won't have any more difficulties, " he proudly convinced.

" I am not going to marry, Aduke! If you like Aduke, then go ahead! Marry that man!" she persists.

Demetri let out his laughter.

" I hate your idea, woman! I'm just trying to help you!"

" You're not helping me at all, Demetri. You're just using me! You want me to marry Aduke, then what next! You're going to manipulate me, toying me as your puppet then after you will earn everything you will trample me like NOTHING! " she firmly stated.

Demetri instantly reached her side and pulled her hair in anger.

" Yes, you're nothing to me, Lilian! If I can't just use you, I'd better just kill you and your children!" He muttered in a state of rage. She wailed in silence due to his grip on her hair.

" T-Then killed me," she answered defiantly.

He chokes her using his big hand. She holds his hand that gripping her breath. Even though she was having a hard time breathing, her eyesight was still sharp staring into Demetri's eyes.

She's going to die without an oxygen supply. Is this the end of her life? Deliberately, she closed her eyes before her body felt numb and close to unconscious.

But...

Her eyes opened after she immediately feels Demetri's mouth supplying air inside her lungs.
