Blockade

Somewhere around the city of plants, zombies are still running rampant. Of course Alex had lowered their numbers by incinerating the zombies around his area but unfortunately, the zombies managed to reach to the farthest parts of the city.

Above the sky, whirring sound could be heard from; It isn't just one but a lot. Those sounds are coming from the helicopters that the hunter organization had sent for help. One of the big choppers contains two prominent figures, the beast king and queen alongside their wolves.

The beast king is staring the window with his cheek leaning on his knuckle. His lost at his own thoughts as he tries to make a quick plan on his head. There is no problem on the part where he is thinking of a plan but it is the fact that his daughter is in the place is going is troubling his head.

"Stop thinking about her Howard." the beast queen said

"How could I not Melinda? She's our daughter of course I will think of her." Howard replied

"Howard, I thought you already understood the choice our daughter made. The moment she exited our gate, that's also the moment she has decided to leave our family. It's her choice not ours." Melinda said

"So you are just gonna neglect her like how you neglect your previous tamed beasts?" Howard intoned with his eyes suddenly twitching and nerves bulging out of his forehead.

Melinda was silenced after hearing those words. Despite sounding guilty to what Howard said, she thinks that it is her call to make to keep their name good. Fortunately, banishing Lyrr from their family truly had made a difference but it didn't took long for her rumors to rise up the surface.

Those rumors involve how a beast guild suddenly appeared and how it is lead by someone whose ability is fairly similar to that of the beast king and queen. In just a few years, those rumors were toppled over by several evidence that proved that the beast guild was in fact led by the banished member of the beast family.

Back to the present, Lyrr had finished all her and Jonas's job to clear the zombie horde that covers the whole area.

Lyrr sat down on a nearby blockade. She's released a heavy sigh as if she didn't breath for hours. Jonas offered threw a drink at her which caught perfectly. The two were beside each other as their eyes venture the sight of the slaughter they've committed.

Of course they are not humans so its fine; those were what is in Lyrr's mind but the opposite is in Jonas's. Jonas, who has a different view of what they just did. He thinks of how he should cope with what he did. He didn't suddenly have PTSD but his mind is falling apart just by remembering the faces of those he had killed and to top it off, the zombies body still move despite being incapacitated.

"We are done here." Lyrr said pulling Jonas back to his senses.

"You head back first, I'll just be walking for a bit." Jonas said

Lyrr knew what is going on inside Jonas's head but decided to not interfere as she knows that her words will be futile. She decided to just let Jonas see for himself if there is any other choice than just killing those who recently turned into zombies.

Looking back to when first Jonas joined the beast guild owned by Lyrr. His a relentless person who doesn't hesitate on killing monsters. His natural instincts surpasses that of Lyrr but due to his inability to kill his fellow humans, his judgement is mostly clouded which is why Lyrr mostly dispatch him on research related missions.

Outside the city of plants, the Slayer had already reached the ground. He is lost at his thoughts just by thinking on how he should greet a former friend who he wants to reconnect with. He is unaware of what is happening at the city of plants so he is basically going unarmed although his bulky muscles could be considered a weapon.

He had came out of his hotel and was greeted by blue colored coupe shaped car. He hopped inside and hits the gas like a madman out of excitement. The slayer just couldn't wait to meet Quinn; he knows clearly in his mind that Quinn probably hates him for going against him.

As he was about to reach the border of the city; he stopped the car upon recognizing signs saying stop and seeing blockades. The slayer suddenly got pissed as he doesn't want something to interfere himself from reuniting with Quinn after all, he still has to apologize for what he did in the past and he better do it as quick as possible that's why he immediately left his island when he's heard the news that Quinn is back on radar.

Slayer gets out of the car and furiously slamming the door causing multiple dents on the sides of his door frame but he doesn't seem to mind as he quickly walk towards a man who is standing on the side of the blockades and posters.

"Excuse me sir! May I what's the blockades for?" The slayer asked

The slayer waited for an answer but the man just left his jaws open after realizing who the person is. The man was astounded as he didn't expect that the next moment he'll look up, he would just see the face of a prominent figure and not just that but a man considered to be a hero.

"Uh-Uh Slayer! Can I take a picture with you!?" The man enthusiastically shouted

"Yea sure, after you tell me what's going on." The Slayer exclaimed

"Oh yeah right, of course how could I forget." The man chuckled and proceeded to explain "You see, zombies had invaded this very city and sir Astolfo Anatoly gave us orders to block off possible exits and entrances on every borders."

"Have the gods made their move again?!" Slayer replied in shock

"Uh no it's apparently man made." said the man
