Noble hunting game

While the nobles joked and laughed together the slaves were directed to change their clothes.

Every slave or servant brought in the cages came from within a different household and had matching clothes marked with their owners initials to help identify the better.

Up at the top of the hill outside the fence, the city lords son stood up and greeted everyone to announce the game they would be playing today. "I have good new everyone, usually our hunting games are either hunting beasts or adding some slaves to add to the excitement but today is a specially prepared game! Do you see the marked clothes with your initials on your servants or slaves? Well this will help to identify who is from your house and this will help with keeping track of how many remain that belong to you. The game will begin when the hourglass turns which lasts for around 15 minutes. The aim of the game is to either kill the servants of others with your bow and arrow or to defend your servants from attacks from others arrows and the wolves attacks. Another type of winner can be decided on how many of your arrows have dealt a killing blow as you can see the arrows are marked with your initials too."

More cages were revealed and within was several large white and grey wolves after removing the cloth covering them from the young nobles sights.

The wolves looked very ferocious after being starved for a long time so they were in a very aggressive state.

Some even tried to bite the bars of the cages and bash themselves against the insides of the cage to get out with the strength they had remaining.

The wolves did appear weaker than usual but compared to the starved, weak and injured humans they were much more intimidating.

Several young nobles who were newcomers to the hunting gatherings revealed a look of shock upon seeing the wolves for the first time while the others looked excited after hearing the games rules.

The son of the city lord coughed as he noticed their gazes and confidently spoke. "When the time is up the living humans will be counted according to how many remain alive within each household. The loser will have to undergo a punishment and the winner will get a prize. The winner can even request for the right of ownership of someone's slaves if any catch your eye."

A smirk appeared on one of the young nobles lips and turned to another noble son and elbowed him while joking with a lecherous grin. "Hey.. if I win you know I am going to be asking for your families new maidservant. She is quite the beauty, so curvy hehehe."

The other noble noble son rolled his eyes and replied. "Yeah, continue to dream fool."

Many other noble sons began to joke with each other in a similar manner

Another noble son who sat at the back sighed and emotionlessly spoke as he gazed towards the city lords son. "Nobody would wish or even dare to own one of the city lords servants or slaves that are female. After all everyone knows that his wife has ruined any of the pretty ones faces and destroyed the bodies of any who had an attractive figure."

The noble sons nearby heard his words and began to laugh again.

The city lords son heard the remark and glared at him before coughing and spoke again. "You all have the same amount of arrows, fourteen arrows for each persons household and the amount of slaves per household that will be released is seven each. There are the wolves mixed into the battle so feel free to decide whether you want to use your arrows to deal killing blows or to save your households people. There are so many of us here today so there will be many targets during this game so fire carefully and pick your targets strategically."

Some noble sons began to reveal a look of boredom and showed how they were tired of waiting for the game to begin.

The city lords son noticed this change and turned to the guards who handled the cages and the people inside the hunting grounds and yelled. "We can begin now! Release the wolves!"

As soon as the cages were unlocked the guards began to retreat and leave the hunting grounds but one cage swung open too suddenly and before anyone could react a large wolf had already pounced onto the guard and began to hungrily devour him.

When the people within the hunting grounds saw this scene they began to panic even more and tried to run away screaming but this only helped to excite the wolves within the cages more.

When the hourglass turned the nobles began to put an arrow onto their longbow and began to find their targets.

As a young child was running she tripped and fell down, soon after an arrow pieced the back of her neck and she stopped moving.

A young noble looked at his servants death and turned towards the person to his left scowling. "You just had to target one of mine first…"

The person who killed the child shrugged his shoulders uncaring that he just killed a child a moment ago and laughed jokingly. "You should of brought a more sturdy prey the. If you didn't want to lose one so soon."

To these noble sons the lives of the servants and slaves were no longer considered human but were merely prey in their eyes at this moment.

They could take lives of many innocents just in the name of having fun and for competition among their peers.

That was how far many of the people within Wolfden city had fallen and they could not be redeemed.

Ki had participated in one of these games in her previous life along with Rashida but Rashida had lost her life very close to the end but helped many to survive.

Many noble sons were not happy with the result because they didn't satisfy their bloodlust so beat their servants and slaves after the hunting game finished.

Ki suffered the worse beatings from the city lords son after that day.
