Poisonous palms

Often times a peak martial artist or a transcendent can stand out within their group because of the skills they display, their body which has reached a certain limit which begins to show that they aren't ordinary but also the amount of qi they use in combat so Ki was able to identify one or two people at once who were within the group.

One man was on the ground near the back watching out of the reach of her arrows but still remained cautious as he had been ordering his men to remove the threat.

Another man stood by him as if acting like a guard.

If she had to guess there may also be a small number within the group who also seemed to have the strength of a peak realm martial artist or higher but they would have to get close to her in order to have some effect on the battle.

As the footsteps grew closer on the ledge some people were attempting to get to her location with the cover from the archers and were succeeding.

They heard a small breath and the sound of dropping weapons that Ki had dropped so that they would not get in the way within the tighter space and the fact that she only had so much foot space while also leaning against the wall in order to stay out of the path of any arrows.

She placed her sword, bow and arrows aside so that they would not get in her way and she closed her eyes and listened to the approaching sounds.

She reached into her pouch and took out a small smoke bomb and threw it at her feet.

While she waited for the smoke to fill the space around her she quietly memorised the surrounding area where she could stand and move around so that she knows where it is safe to move around.

If there was anything she enjoyed it was using ways to obstruct her enemies actions or senses during combat and creating chaos in the battlefield.

A single person who did not need to worry about who to attack and also many enemies who had to remain careful in case they harm an ally because of their carelessness.

Not to mention if their vision is obstructed then on a ledge they would be in even more danger of falling off or accidentally knocking an ally off by accident.

So Ki waited as the smoke surrounded her and the hiding place as the enemies grew closer.

Suddenly a layer of light pinkish white qi began to cover her hands as she heard the enemies just about charge into her hiding place.

Two men entered first together and began their attack but as the smoke had not fully spread yet they could still make out their enemy.

One man had a club in his hand while the other an ice axe that is used for climbing and hiking.

Right away the club was swung towards Ki's head but she lowered her body and let her body tilt to the side a little to avoid it while her back was still against the wall.

She used her leg to push herself forward to grab him by the arm with her poisonous hands and twisted his arm and dislocated his shoulder so that he would drop his weapon.

Just as an attack was coming from the man with the ice axe, Ki controlled the mace welder's body so that it would protect her body and take the attack for her.

She then moved back slightly and moved against the wall once again and kicked hard towards the mace wielder which forced him to not be able to remove the weapon from his body but he was also suffering incredible irritation and pain on his arm where Ki had touched.

Instead the weapon was further embedded in his body and the person behind had yet to try to remove it.

Just as he was forced back the person behind him was also forced back as he made contact.

As he was about to steady his footing he found that most of his feet were already off the ledge and he could not steady himself so had no choice but to hold onto his weapon in the hopes of using his ally to pull himself back up.

Sadly his ally was suffering from immense pain and torture that he could no longer remain rational or even a little helpful to others.

Boils and spots were breaking out on his body, he was itchy and had no choice but to scratch but no matter what it would spread further on his body and would only grow more severe.

Even the skin on his body seemed to have become very fragile as his nails were able to break the skin easily as he scratched.

It was so unbearable that even the pain from his back could be ignored and even as the ice axe had been removed from his body as his ally fell to the ground below and it was unknown whether they were dead or alive.

He even tried to roll on the floor so that he could use the cold to help him but he found himself rolling on the ground more intensely until he fell off the end of the ledge.

Somewhere below a man was hanging on to the wall with the help from their ice axe but their ally suddenly fell down onto them which forced the both of them to fell together while he suffered the most damage from the fall.

The results of Ki's poison qi training were continuing to improve and making the slightest touch from her extremely deadly.

So much so that one touch from her palm or palms could render an enemy useless within seconds and make them go mad from the pain and irritation they feel along with the other additional symptoms when the poison reaches the internal organs and enters the bloodstream heading towards the heart.

Within the environment where there were risks of falling and their vision was obstructed they could only rely on maintaining their rationality and other senses in order to properly navigate the environment and survive but now that the poisonous qi was being made use of many who would be close to Ki at this moment were putting their lives at great risk.

Now they were just becoming tools that would help further her skills and help her learn how to fight in a new environment.

Suddenly the poisonous blood from the dead or knocked out man fell onto the body of the man who lay beneath him and infected him too.

If he somehow survived the fall and the crushing weight of his ally then the poisonous blood coming into contact with him only served as a wake up call for him.

He began rolling around the ground but could not get out from under the man above him.

Just as he was struggling he noticed that the poisonous blood was turning into a small mist and was slowly growing.
