Loves Remembrance

After returning home, Ki went to greet her mother and father and asked. "How did you enjoy your free time together while we were away?"

Elizabeth turned her head away with a small blush on her face and said. "It was alright but it cannot happen too often."

Adam looked at his wife who was being shy and couldn't help but reveal a small smile on his cold face. "No, I think this should happen more often."

Elizabeth rolled her eyes and began to ignore him and asked. "How about you all? Did you have fun?"

It was a rare opportunity for both of them to spend some quality time together without their business or family duties getting in the way but this time had been perfectly arranged so that everything would run smoothly even without themselves for the day.

Without any interruptions from sudden work problems or a family emergency, they finally got some time to themselves as a couple to improve their married life even a little.

Elizabeth married out of the family at the age of sixteen by her family and became a part of the Bombyx family, after some time had passed she gave birth to Ki.

After raising her with the help of the families servants, she found herself pregnant once again with Leon.

Just as Leon was showing signs of growing up and Ki was becoming more reliable to handle more things in the family was when the workload was added to her life as she began designing clothes and managing the clothing stores of the family.

After then she gave birth to Naara which made her even more busy so this break was something that she really needed but her husband couldn't stop his constant flirting which annoyed her a little but she allowed herself to be pampered a little.

Meanwhile Adam who was always busy with paperwork and meetings, had his workload increase just as Ki had begun to put forward plans to revive the family.

After the birth of Naara, he rarely got any alone time with his wife besides during the families meals together and during the morning and night when they shared the same bed so this time allowed him to pamper his wife that he loved dearly for the day.

Ki looked at the both of them and smiled. "That is good. I had fun and I think the others did too, Naara fell asleep on the way back. We had a small problem with a rude young master but because of the cities rules and the protection that was arranged we were able to avoid any bloodshed."

Elizabeth's face went pale but then looked at her daughter. "I am sure you are hiding some things for our sake but I am glad all of you are safe and had a good time."

Elizabeth knew that her daughter was very strong and capable enough to protect her other son and daughter but she did not trust the actions of others who could use dirty tactics like trying to capture Naara or Leon while Ki is distracted.

The odds of that happening would be less than one percent in reality but in her mind she couldn't help but worry about such things becoming a reality.

She also knew that when Ki said there could have been bloodshed, it really meant that Ki would have had to injure or even kill those people herself or leave it to the guards that had been close by.

After experiencing the period where war between the northerners that had broken past the borders that were up against the village and the surrounding cities, Elizabeth had no longer remained so naive about her daughters capabilities after fending off so many attacks one at a time with great efficiency during that difficult time that was created by the loss of the Divine Ice Sect.

At first she began to feel a little uneasy towards how her daughter was taking most of the burden upon herself but as things progressed, many talents and groups began to appear that had assisted the defence.

Ki listened to her mother and father as they were worrying about her and also asking questions one after another but she finally said. "I will be going to see grandmother. I have left a bottle of wine for the both of you to enjoy but do not drink too much and make too much noise."

Her father tends to get a little loud and more active after having a drink completely breaking his cold exterior so she had to warn him in advance.

Adam turned his head away in shame and then looked back with delighted eyes. "It's good stuff right?"

Elizabeth pinched his waist quickly as his attention had focussed on the subject of the wine. "Fool."

Ki snorted as she was leaving. "It is good stuff but try not to get too caught up in this one."

This wine was a special type of wine that had reached a very high level so of course it would bring out certain feelings upon being drunk so she warned her parents beforehand not to get too caught up in the emotions and just enjoy themselves.

Loves Remembrance was its name and it brought out the feeling of love that was towards a family member, close friend or a lover depending on the most important and strongest memories that the person who drinks it is able to recall.

Back when she made it, she had to experiment a lot in order to properly create this wine so that the artistic concept was correct and it brought out the right feelings and triggered certain memories.

For her she was able to recall some distant and fuzzy memories of the past that she had long forgotten which was during her youth with her family.

Ki just hoped that her father would not become overly influenced by it and become overly clingy towards her mother after drinking it.

Just as she left, Adam went to get the bottle of wine and the glasses and poured himself and his wife a glass.

After enjoying their first glass they were immersed in their own memories and felt quite warm inside.

Adam had a large smile on his face as he recalled a fond memory and Elizabeth began to tear up a little.

He turned to his wife and said. "This stuff is really good. I just recalled the day of our wedding, you looked so beautiful on that day. What did you recall?"

Elizabeth wiped the tears from her eyes and then replied. "The birth of my children."

Adam suddenly looked devastated. "Wife how could you do this to me?"

Elizabeth took another sip and enjoyed it while ignoring him. "Our children will succeed us and are destined to be special in their own way. I love them dearly and their births were very precious to the both of us. I may love you and the way things have turned out, even if none of it was my decision in the end but I have already begun to come to terms with many of my past problems since I came here and met you. I do love you but I cannot help but think about my children more since they carry a part of myself but also a part if you within them."

Adam enjoyed another sip then replied in a sad tone of voice. "Do you still hold a grudge against them?"

Elizabeth looked at her husband who was worrying about her and spoke. "No, not anymore. I just hope that they will not bother my happy family but.. I cannot predict such a thing as being impossible."

Adam replied in a cold tone. "No matter what, they will not be able to treat you like they did in the last even if they do come to see you. Now you are the madam of the Bombyx family and nobody can deny your status, not even them."

Elizabeth nodded silently and began to take another sip of the wine then spoke in a soft voice. "I do not think our daughter would allow such a thing to happen… she is too overprotective when it comes to the family so she will not allow for any problems to arise."

Adam nodded and enjoyed the rest of the night chatting with his wife and recalling their past.
