Get out!

She turned to her mother who looked like a frightened deer and said. "Is this how you raise your heirs? I have so much information on his actions that have leaked out and what you have tried to cover up and failed… not only did you bring him with you today but he looked at his blood relatives with lecherous eyes and spoke rudely. Here is not a place where your families power or way of thinking can affect me or my families decisions. I suggest you either give up your power and go live quietly some place or face what is coming to you without complaining. You all know why you have reached this point. All you have to blame is yourselves."

The grandmother looked a little sad and said softly. "I'm sorry Liza… I'm so sorry."

The grandson was going to speak up again but his grandfather and father gave him a stern look.

The old man looked at his daughter who now seemed like a stranger to him and had completely turned hostile. 'Was I wrong back then?'

However this was just a passing thought brought on by the desperate circumstances and seeing the tough side of his long abandoned daughter who had transformed beautifully without them.

The old man was unable to give up and got onto his knees begging. "Please… I am sick. I do not know how long I have left so I must provide a secure future for my family. Please help."

Ki would have believed the old man's words if she was still a naive child but now she wouldn't.

She observed his complexion that looked healthy and walked forward to grab his wrist quickly.

After checking his pulse, she coldly raised her voice. "Get out!"

The old man was desperate to gain sympathy from his daughter to make her change her mind or offer some small support but what he did not expect was that Ki would step forward so suddenly.

He was unable to shake off her grasp as she took hold of his wrist. "What are you doing?"

Ki looked down at him as if looking at a fool. "There is nothing wrong with you, your complexion and pulse are fine but also there are no signs of disease or illness of any kind on your body so stop trying to fool us. Such a poor performance to gain sympathy will not work and only anger me further. How dare you try to place such a burden on my mothers shoulders."

The old man looked stunned. "You.."

Ki looked down at him like a predator would prey, full of oppression and viciousness. "Leave and never come back. Your greed and shamelessness knows no bounds… if your grandson tries to get away with what he did on the festival anywhere within my territory I will make sure he will be locked in a cell. Not even you can save him from that even if your family still holds some hidden cards."

The old man's eyes widened in shock and fear. "Y.."

He was truly afraid of this young girl before him.

She saw through him and his family even before they had stepped onto their doorstep and stood back to watch all of their attempts only end in failure.

Even his last ditch effort was denied by her but what scared him the most was the look in her eyes.

It was one that he had seen only a couple of times during his time in the Capital, the eyes of someone capable of killing or ordering the deaths of their family but chooses to let them live just to see how things will play out for their own amusement or simply because it is too bothersome.

In her eyes, he was just an ant that had walked in her path that only gained a brief glance before she continued on her way simply because he was in her way at that moment.

If he crosses the Bombyx family and causes them any damage, he knew that even if this girl could not harm his family, she had the finances of the Bombyx family to use to destroy him if she found him to be enough of an annoyance.

In her eyes, he was not a blood relative or her grandfather but a complete stranger and a disturbance to her daily life.

The young man looked at his grandfather and shouted. "Grandfather.. you.. how could you say such a thing about my grandfather? Do you have any proof that he is lying? You are just a little girl, how could you know medicine?"

Ki smiled sarcastically and replied half heartedly. "I do not need to boast about my abilities and have no need to prove myself to others. I may not be a master in this area but I have enough skills to identify if someone is sick enough to die soon. Just because your acting can gain the sympathy from others does not mean that you will be able to fool everyone."

She paused and then said. "You can leave now. I am finished with you all. Go back to where you came from and do not reappear in front of me or my mother again. Do not mention your connection with my family but also do not cause any problems that would cause my family to get caught up with your own problems. This is my final warning. Leave Wolfden city quietly and never return."

Elizabeth nodded. "How dare you try to fool me. I held out a little hope that you may have changed but you still disappoint me. Farewell."

As she left the room, she turned to the family guards and said. "Escort the, out of the village and make sure they leave."

A little while later in a carriage, the family sat silently trying to identify where they first went wrong.

The old man looked at his wife and said. "Why didn't you help us there? Perhaps if you put in more of an effort you may have convinced her."

She looked back with a pale face and then replied in a soft tone of voice. "It wouldn't of mattered. That is no longer our daughter and the granddaughter of ours seems to be someone that we cannot offend. We never had a chance as they were prepared for our arrival from the beginning."

She turned to her son and grandson and then said in a distant tone. "You never let me handle the families affairs so I only had the chance to raise my daughter and teach her properly within the household but you still sold her off so easily. She was a lot more filial when she was younger but what you did broke her heart so I do not blame her. How many more victims cries have to be heard from your son and grandsons actions before you finally wake up? You think he has matured but I think he is just better at hiding his actions from you. Our granddaughter also mentioned something that was worrying that you all seem to have ignored."

She looked at her grandson with cold and stern eyes and asked. "What happened at the festival?"

He looked back and asked. "It was her?"

His father sat back ignoring his father and mother who were arguing about the family problems and then back at his wife to cheer her up.

During that whole time, she had been feeling like a background character and had no chance to speak up because Elizabeth and Ki's aura was just too strong and made her unable to challenge them.

She also feared bringing more problems to the family if she made a mistake but when she heard her sons words she asked. "Explain."

Her son explained right away since the matter had already been exposed. "A ran into some people while I was in a hurry and fell over, the person that stepped out the way and let me fall was her. After looking at her, she caught my interest so I wanted to take her back with me but before I knew it she began to threaten me with the power of Wolfden city and the law department saying that I would be locked up and unable to be saved by my family no matter what my status is.. I was about to get my guards to capture her but the captain of the guards made me retreat and come back to my father."

The old man's eyes flickered coldly as he listened. "So this is all your fault from the beginning. I warned you to be on your best behaviour once you are no longer within our territory but it seems that you did not believe my words when I said that there are those we cannot afford to offend. Look at us now. We lost our biggest opportunity for what? Just because you could not listen and behave."

He felt regretful all of a sudden…

Why did he have such a failure of a son and grandson who brought him nothing but trouble during their youth..

Even the simplest request was ignored and made the Bombyx family draw a line between them before they had even arrived within the village to request a meeting.

Perhaps he would truly die very soon but not of any sickness but from stress or being defeated by their families enemies.

He leaned back in his carriage seat and closed his eyes. "Should we just give it all up and start somewhere new? We can simply bring our possessions and those loyal to us along with us as we leave.."

His wife ignored his spoken out thoughts and said in a small voice. "Why bother asking.. in the end you will ignore everyone's opinions anyway."

Their carriage ride was filled with an awkward silence as they slowly increased the distance between themselves and the Bombyx family village.
