Meeting of four #2

With the combination of Nox and the Reapers, many of their rules were strictly enforced in private to control the darker places of Wolfden City and the other places within their grasp at the moment.

Both groups would not know what to do with someone with high musical talents and strength that was completely different to their own.

Rashida shook her head. "Same for me."

Ki contemplated for some time and then decided. "She is motivated by her families old ideals and probably wishes for help getting revenge and cleaning up the filth within her clan so she is best kept close at my side. I need someone of her abilities by my side to guide me, my music teacher may have been providing me with many insights but she is not the best choice."

The Sound Clan each possess high musical talents, especially the clan leader so she was the best person to guide her but that was not all she wished to learn.

The Sound Clan's unique and very efficient use of qi was something that she wished to learn about even a little.

To be able to direct the qi to the throat to enhance the voices abilities in various ways like controlling the voice to send a message to someone far away without anyone else noticing, enhancing the voice into a roar like attack and adding extra applications to the voice to influence others minds during a song.

There was also the use of qi that was used on the fingertips or on a tool that is used with an instrument to apply effects to the instrument's sound upon being plucked, bow or struck creating things like invisible shockwaves, wind blades and other strange and deadly effects that can harm others physically or mentally.

However that was not the sole reason why she had thought so, when she comes of age many eyes will be on her and if everything goes according to plan…

Her first impressions and performance would be very important for the families image, although she could perform a drunken sword dance in public, it was not dignified enough of a thing to create a big name for herself among nobility and high ranking people.

It was also not something that she wished to do in front of others so music was the best option since her poetry and other noble ladies hobbies or talents were either too low to be put on display or she could not show them off on such a grand occasion.

Isaac frowned. "Do you think she would accept such a thing? The Sound Clan have their own pride and would not be reduced to a mere performer or teacher."

Ki waved her hand. "I have decided to take the risk anyways. It is not like I am asking anything too difficult from her and soon she will find out that my intentions are not to insult her but are instead because I respect her capabilities. So this is the end of this discussion… how about the rumoured headhunter?"

Marilyn raised her hand. "She is an assassin with a good reputation but she targets anyone indiscriminately so she would have a hard time fitting in with the Reapers. However she may be useful for Nox if she knows how to keep a secret."

Isaac shook his head. "We cannot yet expose these people to our other forces yet and they cannot be used until the time is right. How about this… there is the wandering swordsman too… wouldn't he fit in more with the Reapers? From his past and his mistakes, it would be the best place for him to make up for his many mistakes. However the same problem involved him too, he cannot be exposed too early."

Rashida frowned. "Both are probably difficult to control and placing them in those positions may have a bad influence on them so it is best they see more of our bright side first to learn why we have to take such actions in the dark."

Ki nodded. "You are right, for now I hold some influence over them but for others it is not the same. It is best if they are kept close within the village so they can adjust to their new environment like the others. Later we can decide where to place them when they can show their faces again. If they do not wish to remain idle then they can find a job within the law department or work as a guard or bodyguard somewhere."

The village was the best place to keep them all because it was secluded and the security was strong enough to prevent leaks so most of the people would be moved there and assume a new identity for a while.
