Confrontation

Much further up the mountain where fewer people had been willing to travel was where it was the coldest and most difficult place to navigate.

The wind was much colder and stronger the higher up anyone got so there was not just the strong wind that could cause an accident up there by making someone lose their balance but there was dangers of having their vision obstructed which could lead to them not being careful where they stepped.

If someone was not careful enough then their life would be in a great amount of danger so those assigned to such a task needed to be very capable or they would have been those that would not be missed if they were to not return from the mountain.

There was two people who were heavily dressed in many layers of clothes as they carried themselves forward.

They looked around themselves carefully like they were looking for something.

One of them turned their head and stopped in place all of a sudden before leaning forward with their eyes squinted. "Hey.. wait.."

A figure was very unclear and small off in the distance that had been gradually getting closer to them.

Upon seeing that the figure was becoming more clear and was on a direct path towards them, the man pulled at the other and took out a sharp blade. "It is not one of ours!"

He could tell by the clothing that the figure was wearing that they were not from the same group.

Their mission was to kill or capture anyone that was on the mountain so once they had seen someone not from their group, they readied their weapons and met the figure head on.

Two sides were closing in on each other as their feet ran over the snow and ice beneath them.

The figure of the other person was more distinguishable once they got closer and they had seen her appearance that had caught them by surprise. "Oh wow. It is a great beauty. Not quite like our northern women.. I want her!"

The other laughed and nudged his partner. "Haha do not forget me."

The young lady that had been running towards them was very beautiful with wavy brown hair that was to the length that came down to her shoulders.

There was a beauty mark under one eyelid which drew attention to her bluish-grey eyes and she had a calm smile on her face as she ran unarmed towards the two men.

There were a small amount of layers of clothing over her body but even with less layers than the men, she showed no sign of discomfort from the cold environment.

She looked like an easy target at first but once she was much closer, the men started to show some concern and uneasiness.

The speed that her body moved and how gracefully she stepped over the snow without leaving her footprint behind had caused them to notice how they had previously underestimated her.

"This one is going to be troublesome."

"Do not let your guard down."

Ki had just finished climbing down from the higher parts of the mountain and had seen the two so came running towards them.

The qi and her physical body moved around much smoother than before after she had broke through to the Unrestrained Realm so each of her movements and usage of her energy had become much smoother and more efficient.

Each step was graceful and used very little energy to increase her speed and alter her movements at every moment so she had much more control than ever before.

Ki had never felt so free and comfortable as she ran like that until she had arrived in front of the two men.

They let out yells and aimed their weapons towards her all of a sudden, her body moved in response to that and her foot pushed hard onto the ground to send her up into the air.

Her body flipped over the first man and was upside down by the time she had appeared over him before continuing forward to land on the snow behind him.

It was not just the first man that had been passed so easily but the second one had been jumped over with one single movement which could not be achieved by an ordinary person.

The physical capabilities and mastery over such movements needed to achieve it would have been enough to be recognised as a Peak or above Martial Artist if someone wished to try such a manoeuvre without being harmed in the process.

Ki stood with her back to them both and the two men turned around in confusion as they wondered what was the aim behind what she had done.

If she jumped over them and avoided combat then she would have kept running but she had instead stopped and so boldly displayed her back to them.

Just as their thoughts were trying to catch up to figure out their situation, the two hands of Ki had moved and made a slight pulling motion.

Something very thin and difficult to make out had started to become a little clearer to their eyes which looked like lines of white thread.

Once Ki had stepped forward and moved her hands forward, the strings were pulled along with her and had suddenly tightened.

Several lines started to appear as they wrapped around the two bodies of the men which were mostly around their neck and head.

Once the strings had tightened, they had begun to dig into the skin and started to draw blood as small droplets soaked into and travelled down the string.

"Ugh.."

"Ah.."

"Why.."

They tried to insert their weapons in between to cut their way to freedom but they quickly found that it was much too difficult to cut the strings.

"No.."

"Ugh.. impossible."

One final strong tug of the strings had caused the bodies of the two men to be unable to resist as the lines of string had quickly passed through their muscles and bone.

Two badly cut up heads had fallen from their bodies as they fell down into the cold snow.

Their dying struggles and attempts to free themselves were unsuccessful and even the weapons they had inserted in between themselves and the string had been constricted so much that they were used against them rather than being able to cut the strings.

The ends of the threads were held by Ki who was wearing a pair of white Silk gloves that had been made from the same material so there was not a single cut done to her skin as she held and used it.

Even if her body was very strong and durable, she was still very careful when using the her own Silk that had been produced by her Silk-Moth Gu.

The durability and sharpness of each piece of Silk was vastly improved compared to the original and it could be used as a deadly tool that could kill effectively.

The delicate control of the Silk that had wrapped around anything it came into contact with just needed enough force to be applied to it to be able to be used just like a thin metal wire that could be used to strange or cut the throats of people but the Silk was so deadly that their heads had both been removed from their bodies while they were cut in several other places and angles.
