Alert: Rhy has gained a new title - “C-rank adventurer.”

'Alert: Rhy has exited D-rank gate'

I cleared my first gate. It was insanely difficult but I think I'm getting the hang of it. Each monster has their patterns and I just need to predict them. I got a new skill. It's called lightning rush and it seems to be a speed skill. I also got a few items. They were mostly monster parts and useless junk like that but I also got a book. It was a grimoire for magic so I gave it to Chaaya, maybe next time she won't be completely useless.

"Hey Rhy the sun is rising! That means we can't do gates anymore. What a shame you took so long." she sighed like a heavy burden was crushing her, like my very existence was a chore or task. "Now we should probably head into the town Buuut um." Oh no what has she done.

"What spit it out human, what have you done you insolent mage."

"Well you see, using magic and swords is strictly prohibited unless you're a guild member, and since you have free will technically you should've been registered as an independent member instead of my summon. But if we register you like that now we will both be arrested. Soooooo." The truth was getting closer to what she wanted, that idiot.

"What?"

"Um you kind of have to act like a mindless servant when in public." This girl!! This must have been her plan all along.

"What? Are you suggesting I pretend to be a lowly servant? How dare you!" I knew that all humans are evil. They all trick me. Why did I think I could trust a disgusting human?

"I'm sorry I know you didn't want to be my summon but well the excitement got the better of me and I didn't think." Yeah right, this girl, she's evil like all the rest.

"Fine but order me around once and it will be the end of your lineage!"

"Yes yes I understand."

We walked into the town she was walking head held high with me lagging behind my back bent and my arms dropping towards the ground. The village was nice but there were a few villagers that were standing in their doorways. The sight of them made me sick. Humans, why humans, why couldn't this world be populated by anything else. We walked into a small alley where there was a tiny stall. It had the words "GUIlD" written above it. There was an old woman standing behind.

"Ah you girl, are you here to register that summon. Let me have a look at him. Only a squire eh too bad Girlie but you can try again soon." Only a squire!!!! Why is everyone in this world so condescending? Why do they talk about me like I am inhuman?

"That won't be necessary, he will do fine."

"Hahahahahahaha only a squire and that will do? What an idiot, these kids. Well then let me add him to your folder and measure his power."

She brought out a black crystal orb and placed it on the wooden table. I placed my hand on the orb and poured my magic into it every inch of life force I had. The orb glowed a bright green and the old lady gasped.

"Well I'll be it seems that this summon has quite a bit of power. It is a speed strength type summon so you'd be better off giving him a dagger or one handed sword. I'll give him a C-rank which isn't bad but you should probably consider upgrading once you reach a higher level and venture off into the world" Upgrade!?!?! How dare she talk about me like I'm some phone that can just be replaced with a better model.

'Alert: Rhy has gained a new title - "C-rank adventurer." '

'Alert: would you like to use title - "C-rank adventurer" '

It seems the different titles will give me certain buffs. This one gives me an overall boost to my base stats.

'Alert: "Rhy" is now "C-rank adventurer Rhy" '

After Chaaya signed some documents we left the alley and the condescending old lady. We once again walked through the town. I tried not to look at the humans. But there were so many. I felt sick.

We walked into a small shop and a bell rang as we entered.

"Welcome." Behind a wood counter was a small man who was smiling at us.

"What can I interest you in? Swords? Armour? I have everything that is essential to a budding young adventurer such as yourself" he was completely ignoring me. It didn't matter to him. I was just an object.

"Could we get a sword for my summon here."

"Ah why certainly, I have steel, black steel, magical swords all depending on your budget" Chaaya walked over to me and whispered in my ear.

"How much money do you have?"

"20roh?"

"Ok" then raising her voice and turning her attention to the shopkeeper. "Can we see some of the black steel swords?"

"Certainly, a good choice Miss." He walked into a back room and returned with four blades: a dagger, a one handed sword, a scimitar and a greatsword. This choice would decide my future. This was a choice I couldn't regret. My skills would revolve around my weapon. I walked over to the one handed sword. It was a common choice in video games and kind of a cliche but that's what I had used before and that's what I wanted to use now. Maybe my gaming knowledge would be best used on a weapon that I have used a lot. I picked it up and weighed it in my hand. It was heavy for a sword. But it's heft was a good sign.

'Alert would you like to purchase the "Black Broadsword" '

The alert showed me all its stats, it was leaps and bounds above my current sword and was classified as C-rank. It said it was valued at ten roh.

"ah I see it has chosen the Black Broadsword it is 20roh" It!!!!!! What's that supposed to mean? Wait 20 it should be ten this old bastard is ripping us off. I walked back behind Chaaya and whispered

"He's ripping us off it's worth ten roh at the most " She smiled

"Nice try old man but you can't fool me that easily. That sword is worth 10roh at the most."

"What!?! Well it seems you've caught me so I'll give it away for ten cant bl;ame an old man for trying."

'Alert: Rhy has purchased "Black broadsword" 10roh has been deducted.'
