Down side up

Yet again her eyes closed leaving her hanging but this time when woke up she found herself in a hospital ward. Next to her was her father sleeping on the side of the bed. She slowly tried her best to stand up without making noise. As her feet reached the ground her father turned around and looked at her. His eyes were red and puffy it seemed like he had cried for a really long time.

"Zhao ai, are you okay" he practically yelled standing as he did so.

"What happened, dad are you okay," she questioned her father while giving him a worried look.

"Zhao ai, she's gone," he said with teary eyes" She's not here anymore."

Understanding what her father said teras started falling unconscious from her beautiful brown eyes. All she could ask was why did that happen to her. Why did he do it?

After her mother's funeral Zhao ai decided to get a new job and start over. Plus she also wanted to go to college. Later that week she got her first job as a waitress. After a few months, things started going downhill her father started gambling with their money. In addition, he also started selling drugs and doing illegal things.

At home

As Zhao ai was quietly taking a nap, she was suddenly awakened by a knock at her door.

"I want to talk to you ai" softly said her father, hearing his words she quickly got up and headed towards the living room.

"What going on dad. What do you want to talk about," she sleepily said. Her father moved a little leaving some space for his daughter to sit and softly patted the stop, signaling her to sit down.

"Zhao ai," he started off ."There are so many things I want to tell you my dear daughter where should I even start."

Hearing her father's tone she slowly tensed up wondering about what he was going to say.

"Zhao ai I'm sorry for everything we have done to you, and before I go I want to give you something," he said with teary eyes handing her a letter." I know saying sorry won't be enough for you to forgive us but..." before he could finish his sentence he gasped. It seemed like he was gasping for air- more like begging is what she recalled. Seeing her father state she looked him deep in the eyes knowing what was happening. It felt like she was unable to do anything about what was happening in front of her except scream.

Hearing the screams of the yelps the neighbors quickly rushed to see what was happening.

*******

She quietly stood there looking at her fahters grave. How could things excallet this quickly. it seems like everyone was leaving her one by one with one to love.
