Chapter 8

Im so sorry for not updating on time I have been busy lately hope you forgive me 😔🥺

Im not really prefect in writing so don't judge me thank you enjoy reading 🤫❤️❤️

Alice pov:

I woke up to the feeling of warmth and I looked around and noticed Zander and I were cuddled up which made me blush

I checked the time to find out it was 8:00pm so I was guessing we slept for a long time so I began to wiggle out of zander's hold only to be brought back to his chest I started panicking because I really needed to use the bathroom so I did what I thought would help me

I smacked his arm which immediately brought him out of his sleep "what did you do that for"

"I needed to use the bathroom but mr handsy did not like that huh"I stood up and went to my bathroom

After finishing my business I entered the room to find Zander still on my bed so I walked towards him to have a decent conversation Only to trip on my way there and I anticipated my fall so I closed my eye and waited but it never came instead I felt a warm presence beside me

I looked up and saw Zander staring at me with concern in his eyes"was I too much of a distraction to you that you couldn't walk well you could have injured yourself" I looked shocked that I couldn't alter a word

I saw his eyes flick to my lips and them back to my face which I followed suit and we were leaning forward when my room door was opened and I immediately came back to reality and pushed him to turn around and see Jason smirking at me but giving Zander a warning look

"Kiddo I came here to tell you that dinner is ready"

"Ok we will be down in a minute thanks"

Jason walked out leaving Zander and I with an awkward silence I decided to break it

"We should probably head down for dinner"

I did not wait for his reply I left the room

I saw Maddie eagerly waiting for us and when she saw me she smiled "finally I'll get to eat"

She is always hungry but who isn't I guess that was one of the features we got from our mother

I made my way towards them and I could hear footsteps descending from the stairs so I knew he was behind me

We had our dinner and It consisted of small talks here and there nothing serious

It was around 9:00 when we finished dinner and cleaning up so I decided to be the nice person that I am and invite Zander for a movie before he heads home cause he said he was bored after all

"Hey would you like to join us in watching a movie"

He smiled genuinely and said "sure thanks" we made it to the movie room and I decided to make some popcorn while he selected the movie

I made my way towards the movie room with our snacks and drinks and also with Maddie cause she was bored and she did her homework

We sat there watching kissing booth and yea yea I was the one that insisted on the movie

We were half way through the movie when my eye lids started becoming heavy again and I just had to submit to Mother Nature

Zander's POV

The movie took about an hour to finish and I turned to look at the two girls because It was so quiet only to notice that the were both asleep and I was shocked for the sake that princess just woke up but I shook it off

I decided to take Maddie to her room cause Alice must have mentioned her room when we were talking

I came back to get princess I saw that she was so peaceful while sleeping she looked like nothing was troubling her but I knew better

I laid her down on her bed and was about to leave but I don't know what came over me but I bent and kissed her forehead and whispered "sleep tight princess"

It was around 11:30 and I headed towards the front door to leave when her brother stopped beside me "where are you going by this time"

"I was heading home why?"I looked shocked by his question

"You can't head home now you know it's kind of late and Ali won't like that so you can use the guest room on the other side of Alice's"

"Thanks but are you sure I don't want to intrude or anything"

"Nah it's fine and you seem like a pretty nice boy I like you but one thing is if you ever hurt Alice I would kill you and you won't be so pretty anymore"

My eyes widened at the threat and I gulped before saying "I won't hurt Alice I promise you that I'll protect her with my life"I said meaning every word

"And thanks for the extra room I really appreciate your concern"I walked towards the guest room

I got comfortable on the bed which meant I was only in my sweat pants and I laid on the bed and all I could think about was the fact that I was starting to love a certain brunette on the other side of the hallway until I drifted off to sleep

I woke up to the sound of someone screaming and begging "help...no no...please"

I immediately recognized the voice to be that of Alice and I rushed to her room to see her turning and tossing on her bed screaming

I walked towards her and noticed that she had tear stains and I sat down beside her and I tried tapping her but she flinched away and I did what I thought could help which was hugging her and whispered "princess it's okay am here now no one is going to hurt you again I promise...it's just a dream..it's just a dream"

She stopped struggling and she opened her eye and hugged me back like her life depended on me "they almost got me"she kept saying that while crying and it broke my heart to see her this way I kept whispering smoothing words to her and she eventually calmed down

I laid her down again and was about to leave the room when I heard a faint voice "please stay"

I looked back to see her looking at her fingers and playing with it and she looked really cute doing that even in this state

I went back to her bed and laid beside her i didn't know what took over me but I cuddled Alice and began playing with her hair and I noticed that her breathing became normal or even which meant she fell asleep and I buried my face to her neck enjoying her sweet vanilla scent and I felt my eye lids becoming heavy so I decided to give in and I fell into darkness

I'm so sorry about updating late..I'm really really sorry I know the story has a lot of errors and I promise to correct them after the book is completed I won't really edit it right now cause I'm trying to finish up the book

I hope you enjoyed this chapter I know it is really short but I don't really like writing long chapters but I promise that I would make a chapter long
