Alice's POV:

Waking up from my nap I checked the time to find out it was around 3:30 so I knew that Maddie and Jason were going to be home

I made my way downstairs and I saw Maddie in the living room watching Disney movie and I smiled and coughed in order to get her attention which I successfully got

"Ali!!!!!!!!!"she screamed and ran towards me to tackle me in a hug and she smiled brightly

"Hey sunshine how are you doing and why are you so excited"

"I'm good....I heard you weren't feeling well so I wanted to make you happy...I made a drawing for you....I wanted giving it to you when you were sleeping but ma'am said I shouldn't disturb you...so I was waiting patiently"I smiled at her being so thoughtful

"Ok that's fine where is the drawing"she held my hand and took me to the kitchen and pointed at the counter so I carried her and placed her there where she retrieved the drawing

"Ok so this is mama,papa,jay jay,you and me....I have decided to not let their death bother me again I would celebrate them instead of mourning cause that is what the would have liked "she gave me a smile and that did it all

I smiled back at her and it reached my eyes cause I was happy that she has healed her heart and so have I after what happened in the hospital while I was unconscious I saw mum and dad and the wanted me to be my old self and not so depressed which I made a promise to them that I would and am working on that

I hugged Maddie tightly "thanks a lot sunshine it means so much to me and am good now cause of you"she hugged me back and kissed my cheek in the process

"Awwn what did I miss" we broke the hug to see Jason at the entrance of the kitchen and we smiled at him while Maddie proceeded in telling Jason what he missed I began making pasta cause I was suddenly craving for that at the moment

When I was done I called my siblings over to have theirs and we ate with smiles on our faces and for the first time in many year I felt relieved and I knew it was because I decided to let go of the past and focus on my future

After playing with Jason and Maddie for about 3 hours and yes we played tags which was fun I couldn't stop laughing we decided to head to the shower

I made myself comfortable on my bed with my comfy cloths I took my phone out of the drawer and dialed Zander's number which he picked at the last ring

"What"he spoke so rudely which cut me off guard cause few nights ago he was all sweet with me and now he is back to the old Zander

I fake coughed "hey"

"What do you want Alice I don't have time for jokes"I didn't know if it was the fact that he was being so cold towards me or the one he just called me a joke

"So that's what you really think of me huh...I didn't want to believe what daisy said to me in the hospital but I guess I have no other choice then Zander"I was about speaking again when I heard a females voice and the female just had to be Rebecca

"I'm so sorry for interrupting your good evening...bye Zander"I was hurt so badly but I'll act like am not bothered and be the strong girl that I am

With that thought in mind I drifted off to sleep hoping I won't receive the nightmares today

3 days later

This couple of days have past with so many good emotions except for that of Zander

We have been avoiding each other like a plague and I have seen him every where with that bitch of a girl named Rebecca and when ever she see's me she is either smirking at me or sucking faces with Zander to get a reaction from me but that bitch can't make my break in front of her even if am breaking inside

My family has grown closer and we haven't received any bad news concerning the man after our lives which was great

I decided to go on a walk to the park around 4:00pm cause I needed fresh air to clear my mind and I did not bother taking my car cause I really needed to walk

I walked for a few miles away from home when I suddenly felt like I was being followed and it was not really a good feeling

I stopped and looked around but I did not see any one suspicious so I continued my walk

When I got to the park I was relieved cause I saw a lot of people around

I walked around for an hour and a half or so...it was getting dark and people were starting to leaving the park so I decided to leave too

I was walking home when I felt that same feeling I turned and saw no one again

I was about passing an alleyway when I was dragged into it by someone

I started turning in order to get out of the grip but it was too strong

I raised my leg and kicked him where the sun won't shine again and he left me and bent down to hold it

I punched him in the face twice making my hand bleed and he was groaning in pain

I started running but I wasn't that fast and he cut up to me and dragged me by my hair making me hit the floor pretty hard and I started seeing black dots but I shook my head

He brought me to his face and punched me making me bleed

I kicked him on his abs severally and I was released from his grip

I punched him four time and he fell to the floor but he still didn't give up

He dragged me down and immediately I hit the floor something broke and my vision was becoming blurry

He climbed onto me to punch me again but I moved my head but he was lucky the second time making my nose bleed...I quickly reached out for the pocket knife Jason gave me and stabbed him on his arm

He screamed and got off me...I stood up and started limping trying to get away from him but luck wasn't on my side I tripped and fell immediately I hit the floor I winched due to my broken ribs

He walked towards me and pulled out his gun "you f**king bitch...I was told you were an easy kill and that was why I wanted stabbing you to death but I guess I have to end this now"

"You fuckin pussy"I spat at him

My vision was very blurry in this state and I couldn't get up or fight back any more I decided it was time to meet my parents

I heard two gunshots and I felt the pain coming from my leg

The man's body fell to the floor that's when I saw three figures running towards me but I couldn't make out who they were

"Alice stay with me....nothing would happen to you ok?"

I could see the people a little bit more cause the were close and it was Jason that was talking to me and from the corner of my eye I saw Zander there

The pain was too much black dots were almost every where I couldn't hold on anymore

"Jay I love you and Maddie so much take care of her if something happens to me"

"Alice no!!!!..."the rest of his words and the world faded but I felt when I started moving then I feel unconscious

Jason's POV

Alice told me she was going for a walk and would be back before 4 and it was almost 5 I still didn't see her

I called her and she wasn't picking which was unlike her

I got really worried and decided to call Zander cause I thought he was with her but when he told me he wasn't I was almost passing out

I told mrs Mary to look after Maddie that I have gone to look for Alice and I had two body guards with her too

I walked out of the house to see Zander running towards me with a worried look on his face

"Hey man have you seen signs of her yet"

"No I haven't but I have called the police and the are on there way towards the park she told me she was heading to let's get going"

We started running towards the park we were almost there when I heard struggling at the alleyway which made me curious

I was about entering when a police officer that was with us tapped me

"I heard something let's go check"

He nodded and we made our way towards the alleyway and what I saw took my breath away

I saw my sister on the floor with blood oozing from every part of her body and and a man on top of her with a gun and about to pull the trigger

The police shot him on his arm which redirected the bullet from her head to her leg before he fell and Alice managed to turn towards us and I started running towards her

"Alice stay with me...nothing would happen to you"I held her waiting for the ambulance to arrive

"Jay I love you and Maddie so much take care of her if something happens to me"

"Alice no!!!nothing would happen to you"

Immediately she closed her eyes i took her in my arms to the ambulance with tears rolling down my eyes I was finally broken at last

Her blood was all over me but that was my least concern and we got in and headed towards the hospital

I was sobbing seriously when I felt a hand on my shoulder I turned to see Zander looking at me and Alice with worry and concern

We got to the hospital and she was rushed into the surgery room and we waited for the results

Few minutes passed when we saw daisy running towards us with nothing but her pajamas and she was already crying I guess from the information

"Jay what happened?"she managed to ask but you could see she had been crying due to her puffy eyes

"The....the attacked her"that's all I could say and daisy started crying again

Few minutes passed and we saw Xavier running towards daisy trying to comfort her which help her a little

We waited for hours but the doctors weren't out which got me seriously worried I went out to call ma'am and tell her the current situation

She was as worried as I was and said she was on her way with Maddie and I went back in to take a seat and wait for the doctors

Ma'am arrived few minutes after I ended the call and immediately Maddie saw me she wiggled out of ma'am's arms and ran towards me with tears rolling down her face

One thing about Maddie is that she isn't as dumb as some five year old kids she is really smart for her age

"Jay would Alice come back to us?she wouldn't leave us like Mum and dad did right?she loves us right?...."she went on and on about Alice and it broke me so much more

We said smoothing words to each other and eventually she fell asleep in my arms and my eye lids were getting heavier so I had to obey the call

Hey guys this is the longest chapter I have ever written so far

I almost cried writing this chapter but there you go🥺🥺🥺

How was it?it was getting too romantic so I had to spice up some action
