Chapter 127

"It's perfect!"

"I'm glad you like it, my lord. My scouts did encounter a few aggressive magic beasts but they were swiftly dealt with," said Kellog.

"Thank you, Kellog. I'm glad you made the trip."

"Haha, I wouldn't miss it. It was a great victory that orc kind will speak of for all of history. That is a promise."

"There will be many more, this is just one small step."

"I know Chief! But we shall still drink the night away once your business is done."

"Sounds good."

Kane, Kellog, and several others looked over a large and beautiful body of water. Surrounded by trees, was a large lake that was created by the local river. The specific part that Kane and his soldiers were standing on was a cliff connected to a larger rock formation that made a natural wall around part of the lake as well as some connected forest. Kane thought it would be the perfect place to put Jomsborg as the rock formation gave extra protection and the lake was perfect for ships. From what information Fukyo gave, Kane learned this lake was also only one of many ways that the overall river split off towards and would unlikely be visited often. So he did not have to worry about constant unwanted visitors. But the stone formation also made a one way gate for ships and so Jomsborg would be protected from wooden walls as well as this stone encirclement. This stone arch was also one reason Kane liked the location so much. It was like how the original Jomsborg was described. Kane was quite excited to place his new toy down.

"So I can summon where I want it right?"

[Yes, it will automatically fit in with the terrain and be constructed in the most conventional way. I would move further away though.]

"Fair, let's go over there Kellog."

"Yes, Chief!" responded the orc.

The group moved away from the rock formation and inward toward the forest. Kane stood in front and focused on the Jomsborg summon.

"WHAT'S HAPPENING!"

Kellog and the orcs may have seen Kane perform miracles when summoning soldiers but never did they think they would see an entire town form from thin air.

White light engulfed the area and forced the group to turn away. As their eyes started to adjust, the light slowly faded and faint signs of buildings could be seen.

"This...sorcery is...fearsome," commented Kellog, still in awe.

Kane smiled as he looked at his new mercenary stronghold. The stone arch now had a stone gate to block ships. A dock had been built, a wooden wall that covered several buildings of varying sizes as well as a large log tower overlooking the lake. And to add a cherry on top, Kane saw a giant catapult appear on top of the tower, and banners with his empire's emblem started to cover the town.

"Someone's coming out!"

Kane looked at where the orc had pointed. It was a larger building and Kane recognized it as a longhouse of sorts. It definitely seemed like the main base and the group walking out of it was definitely the first of Kane's Jomsviking army. Probably the first summoned due to his contract.

[This summon starts you off with 40 C-rank warriors and a leader to manage the base. You can level the base to add and improve more buildings, upgrade troops, and hire legendary Jomvikings to add to the overall power of the mercenaries.]

"Is the leader a legendary Jomvking? And can we build and improve things without shop points?"

[Well actually you just have to provide the resources like wood, stone, gold, and things will automatically be built within the towns walls. That's how you level things. Feed it resources. You can also choose the direction it goes and let me suggest your first level should add the shipyards as it will make it easier to build ships which will give you a navy and make your force far stronger. Yes, the first leader you get is a legend but a low rank one.]

"Perfect, it will be good to have someone managing the base. As for our new friend, he will lead them in battle."

[Good idea, your new summon will be perfect for leading Jomsvikings into battle. And once you give the recourse, we can start raiding the towns under Kokarian control all along the great lake.]

"Yeah, Fukyo gave a detailed map that has all the places we can hit. The main lake also leads close to the capital. For now though let's go meet our new friends. Kellog you ready?"

"Of course!"

"What about you?"

Kane turned to the warrior behind him. Slightly shorter than Kane, the man had a platinum blond braid that goes down to his lower back, fierce baby blue eyes, many beautiful tattoos, and a ferocious grin. With two axes at his side, the slim but muscular warrior put on his helmet and focused on his king. Although newly summoned this Viking was definitely worth his S-rank. Loyal, tough, smart, and one of Kane's favorites when it comes to historical legends.

"Aye! Let's see these warriors of legend! I hope for your sake they live and die like they are meant to. It's time I bring you victories worthy of the gods! When you brought me here, into this world, I knew I would lead you to riches and glory. So these warriors better be up to it. I don't want to lead cowards."

"Well, Ivar I am sure they will be up to my standards. And have patience, victories will come."

"They will, and I will bring many until it is decided that it is my time to enter Valhalla."

"What's Valhalla Boneless one?" asked Kellog, seemingly very interested in the Vikings speech.

"Another time guys. Come now."

Kane started to walk off to his new town, followed by Kellog, The Orc Stratigiest, and Ivar The Boneless.
