Chapter 7

“I have to admit, though,” he says softly, “I’m a bit surprised how much we hit it off. I almost didn’t call you tonight because…well, I didn’t want you to think I was desperate or anything, but I really just wanted to see you again.”

The evening passes quickly. If we really areon a date, it’s one of the best I’ve ever had in my life. Ryan is witty and charming, and so damn handsome. Throughout dinner, I notice others watching him—mostly women, but a few men try to catch his eye. But he doesn’t notice anyone but me. If I were gay, I’d be head over heels for him, I know.

Hell, I’m straight and half in love already.
