Chapter 53

Xavier shifted in the bed, then said my name.

The phone rang and I almost dropped it. On the second ring, I answered. ”Hello.”

“Agent Gooding?”

“Hold on.” I shook Xavier. “Hey, phone call. Wake up.” I tried to disconnect the plug, but the way the cord wrapped required Xavier to get up from his side of the bed to sit by the chair, closest to me. As he did so, I noticed he had an obvious, very large morning erection. As if realizing I was in the room, he put his pair of trousers on his lap as he took the cell from me, averting my glare.

I only got one side of the conversation.

“Hello? So you’re telling me first couple of flights leaving Miami that no one matching Ivan’s description? None for Ecuador? Venezuela? What about cruise ships sailing out of Lauderdale or Miami? Thanks.”

Xavier disconnected the call and looked at the time on the phone. “Jeez, it’s only been three hours. How long have you been up?”
