“Whoa, back up there. She overheard a conversation this morning?” Katie’s eyes enlarged as she gasped. “Did you two…” her words trailed off as she stared at a laughing Alexis.
“No,” Alexis replied with a laugh. “Come on, Katie. I don’t just fall into bed with women. You of all people should know that.” At one point in time, Katie had hinted at sharing more than a work relationship with Alexis. Alexis had had quickly turned the offer down. Sure, Katie was pretty, but she was also not her type.
“Well, yeah with me not, but Lynn?” Katie shook her head in disbelief. “I know of women who would kill to have that woman spend the night at their house. Why did she stay?”
“It was so late last night after we got back that I didn’t want her walking on the beach alone, considering that creep is still out there.” Alexis blushed as Katie arched a knowing eyebrow. “Okay, okay, and maybe I didn’t really want her to go home either.”
