Tribulation

We walked through the master suite and inspected it thoroughly. Charles said, “I guess we can have the new furniture delivered tomorrow.”


“That we can,” I said. “I’ll make the call first thing tomorrow morning. Meanwhile, we need to give Gran a walk-through. Shall we go downstairs?”


We went downstairs and found Gran in the sunroom, and Charles said, “Gran, are you ready to tour the addition?”


“Do you mean to say that it’s finished?”


Charles took her arm, and the three of us went to the elevator and rode up to the sitting room, which we now referred to as the study. We took her into the nursery first, and she said, “It’s adorable.”


Then we walked with her into the master suite, and she was suitably impressed with the bedroom. When we entered the bathroom, she said, “I know whose idea that huge shower was.”
