Chapter 14

“Me too,” Noah said.

They made it to the top and rested for a few minutes while they admired the view. When they returned to ground level, they spent a few minutes relaxing on a bench before they went inside the museum to look at the exhibits.

When they’d finished exploring the museum, their hosts led them down the hill in a different direction from the Freedom Trail to a nearby subway station, where they caught an Orange Line train to what was known as the Downtown Crossing. There they took a Red Line train to the Park Street station where they caught a Green Line train to the Arlington Street station, from which they walked back to the town house. William explained that they could have transferred from the Orange Line to the Green Line at two of the earlier stops, but he wanted them to see how things worked.

As they walked up Arlington Street, Tom said, “That’s a famous church over there on the corner. I didn’t notice it last night.”

“Famous how?” Noah said.
