Chapter 62

“As a matter of fact, I was thinking of treating William and Henry to a unique Jacksonville experience.”

“What?”

“Think Camel Rider.”

“Yeah, that’ll work.”

“What’s a Camel Rider?” Henry said.

Tom gave the visitors a short history of Middle Eastern sandwich shops in the city, and they went to Richard’s to try them. Their guests professed their enjoyment of Camel Riders as they dined.

“After what we ate yesterday,” Henry said, “this is just the right size lunch.”

They returned to the house and changed into casual clothes— they’d all worn suits for the meeting—and he and Noah had the Lanes at the airport in plenty of time for their late-afternoon flight home. They’d invited the Lanes to stay for the weekend, but their guests had respectfully declined, citing family obligations.
