“Indeed she is, and she has certainly taken a liking to you and Noah.”
“Yeah, that’s for sure.”
Noah was busy perusing the Boston and New York papers he’d picked up on the way through the airport. “The reviews of last night’s performance are great,” he said.
“Why don’t you tear the appropriate pages out, and leave the rest of those papers here?” Tom said.
“Way ahead of you.”
When they arrived in Jacksonville, Chad and Bobby were waiting for them. Chad had driven Dr. Ambrose’s car to the airport so she wouldn’t have to detour home by way of Avondale, and Bobby was waiting in the Jaguar to drive them home. As always, it was a comfort to crawl into their own bed, even if they had to get up early on Monday to begin a new day at school.
