Attorney Charles Barnett thought it was all over for him and his heart. In the three years since his partner died, he hasn't felt so much as a spark of attraction to another man. That suddenly changes when Charles is assigned a new case and meets his new client.<br><br>Recent widower Philip d'Autremont has been traveling in all the same circles as Charles, but somehow they've never managed to meet. ARRIVING BACK AT the town house, we stopped in the kitchen long enough for Charles to quickly survey the liquor inventory and express satisfaction that everyone’s wishes could be accommodated this evening. He also called Sean & Gabe’s and reserved a table for eight o’clock. He also made one other call, then went into the library and set the recorders to record both the five and the six o’clock news. Having taken care of mundane matters, we went upstairs and celebrated our victory in a time-honored manner, after which we slept for an hour or so.
