“Yep,” Zeke said. “As far as I’m concerned, boyfriends sounds good, but I’ll settle for fuck buddies for a few months until we see how it works.”
“Oh, this is so sudden,” Norm sort of gushed. “I don’t know what to say.”
“Stop being a drama queen, Norm,” I said. “They’re serious.”
“Let’s walk through the house, before anybody says anything else,” Zeb said.
“Okay, let’s,” I said. “Norman, you tell me what you see.”
The four of us trekked through every room, and Norman kept up a running commentary until we wound up back on the porch.
Zeke said, “Let’s go have lunch at The Loop and talk about this, okay?”
“Sure,” I said.
“Okay,” Norm said.
We sat out on the deck at The Loop, eating our sandwiches and talking about the house.
“Norm, when’s your lease up?” Zeb said.
“My roommate and I are month-to-month right now,” Norm said. “How about you, Josh?”
