“I just might have to revise what I said in the beginning,” Sheldon said.
“What was it you said?” Brody said. “I don’t really remember.”
“What I said about Jasper not really being intoit. I think I was wrong about that.”
“Oh. Is it love, then?”
“Hardly that, but I think it might be a reasonable facsimile.”
“Way to go, Sheldon.”
“Yeah, and speaking of going, it’s a nice overcast day, so why don’t we take a few turns around the track?”
“You’re on, buddy.”
They went to the bedroom and changed into shorts and running shoes, being careful to leave their khakis and uniform shirts handy incase they got a call. Then they headed out to the running track, which was currently not in use.
“How far?” Brody said.
“A couple of miles ought to get the juices flowing.”
“Let’s do it,” Brody said, and sprinted down the track.
