He stayed three or four cars behind Richards all the way down Normandy Boulevard until it became Post Street, and along Post Street until it hit Riverside Avenue. Richards turned left on Riverside Avenue, and so did Quentin. A few blocks later, Richards pulled in behind a familiar building. Assuming he just had a sexual workout, why’s he going to the Y?Quentin followed at a discreet distance, and when Richards went inside the building, Quentin grabbed his gym bag, joined a couple of guys who’d just returned from running, and walked into the building with them.

Quentin checked in at the front desk, went to the locker-room, and walked around the rows of lockers until he spotted Richards, who was by that time, clad in a towel and clearly headed for the steam room. Quentin took an empty locker, stowed his clothes, grabbed a towel, and went to the steam room, where he settled down on a bench across the room from his quarry.
