“Uncle Tony, I have something for you and Bryan.”

He raised an eyebrow. “It’s not our birthdays, and it isn’t Father’s Day.”

I’d always given them something as a gesture of thanks for being there when my father couldn’t.

“No, but I thought you’d enjoy these.” I handed him two tickets for a lecture that was going to be held later in the week at the Lisner Auditorium.

“What are they for, Tony?” Bryan asked.

Tony grinned and showed him the tickets. Bryan studied them for a moment, and then a hard grin curled his lips.

“You’re right, Quinn. We’re going to enjoy this very much.”

“I thought you’d agree, little brother.” Tony put the tickets in his breast pocket.
