Chapter 35

“Bri, I thought I’d never see you again.” She sobbed, and just like that she was hugging me again as if she thought I might suddenly disappear.

“Zoe, you saw me like an hour ago,” I shrugged, trying and failing to remove myself from her grip.

“Bri, I don’t know how to tell you this, but you...umm...you were dead.”

Finally, she released me and took a couple of steps back.

“Well, I’m glad to know you didn’t let Celestria bury me alive.” I rolled my eyes at her. I was pretty sure my lack of seriousness bugged her, but I’m pretty sure if I took it too seriously, I would probably go mad.

“Bri, you don’t understand. You...umm...this is a miracle. You’ve been in the ground for like a week.”

I almost stumbled right off my feet then. My knees threatened to buckle, and this time it was me who grabbed onto her.

“A week? Are you serious?”

Zoe nodded, her eyes still streaming.

“Then what the hell are you doing out here during the middle of the night?” I asked.
